1 But take ye a sijk man in bileue, not in demyngis of thouytis.
1 Aceitem entre vocês quem é fraco na fé sem criticar as opiniões dessa pessoa.
2 For another man leueth, that he mai ete alle thingis; but he that is sijk, ete wortis.
2 Por exemplo, algumas pessoas creem que podem comer de tudo, mas quem é fraco na fé come somente verduras e legumes.
3 He that etith, dispise not hym that etith not; and he that etith not, deme not hym that etith. For God hath take him to hym.
3 Quem come de tudo não deve desprezar quem não faz isso, e quem só come verduras e legumes não deve condenar quem come de tudo, pois Deus o aceitou.
4 Who art thou, that demest anothris seruaunt? To his lord he stondith, or fallith fro hym. But he schal stonde; for the Lord is myyti to make hym parfit.
4 Quem é você para julgar o escravo de alguém? Se ele vai vencer ou fracassar, isso é da conta do dono dele. E ele vai vencer porque o Senhor pode fazê-lo vencer.
5 For whi oon demeth a day bitwixe a dai, another demeth ech dai.
5 Algumas pessoas pensam que certos dias são mais importantes do que outros, enquanto que outras pessoas pensam que todos os dias são iguais. Cada um deve estar bem firme nas suas opiniões.
6 Ech man encrees in his wit. He that vnderstondith the dai, vnderstondith to the Lord. And he that etith, etith to the Lord, for he doith thankyngis to God. And he that etith not, etith not to the Lord, and doith thankyngis to God.
6 Quem dá mais valor a certo dia faz isso para honrar o Senhor. E também quem come de tudo faz isso para honrar o Senhor, pois agradece a Deus o alimento. E quem evita comer certas coisas faz isso para honrar o Senhor e dá graças a Deus.
7 For no man of vs lyueth to hymsilf, and no man dieth to hymself.
7 Porque nenhum de nós vive para si mesmo e nenhum de nós morre para si mesmo.
8 For whether we lyuen, we lyuen to the Lord; and whethir we dien, we dien to the Lord. Therfor whethir we lyuen or dien, we ben of the Lord.
8 Se vivemos, é para o Senhor que vivemos; e, se morremos, também é para o Senhor que morremos. Assim, tanto se vivemos como se morremos, somos do Senhor.
9 For whi for this thing Crist was deed, and roos ayen, that he be Lord bothe of quyke and of deed men.
9 Pois Cristo morreu e viveu de novo para ser o senhor tanto dos mortos como dos vivos.
10 But what demest thou thi brothir? or whi dispisist thou thi brothir? for alle we schulen stonde bifore the trone of Crist.
10 Portanto, por que é que você, que só come verduras e legumes, condena o seu irmão? E, você, que come de tudo, por que despreza o seu irmão? Pois todos nós estaremos diante de Deus para sermos julgados por ele.
11 For it is writun, Y lyue, seith the Lord, for to me ech kne schal be bowid, and ech tunge schal knouleche to God.
11 É isto o que as Escrituras Sagradas dizem: “Juro pela minha vida, diz o Senhor, que todos se ajoelharão diante de mim e todos afirmarão que eu sou Deus.”
12 Therfor ech of vs schal yelde resoun to God for hym silf.
12 Assim, cada um de nós prestará contas de si mesmo a Deus.
13 Therfor `no more deme we ech other; but more deme ye this thing, that ye putte not hirtyng, or sclaundre, to a brothir.
13 Por isso paremos de criticar uns aos outros. Pelo contrário, cada um de vocês resolva não fazer nada que leve o seu irmão a tropeçar ou cair em pecado.
14 I woot and triste in the Lord Jhesu, that no thing is vnclene bi hym, no but to him that demeth ony thing to be vnclene, to him it is vnclene.
14 Por estar unido com o Senhor Jesus, eu estou convencido de que nada é impuro em si mesmo. Mas, se alguém pensa que alguma coisa é impura, então ela fica impura para ele.
15 And if thi brother be maad sori in conscience for mete, now thou walkist not aftir charite. Nyle thou thorouy thi mete lese hym, for whom Crist diede.
15 Se você faz com que um irmão fique triste por causa do que você come, então você não está agindo com amor. Não deixe que a pessoa por quem Cristo morreu se perca por causa da comida que você come.
16 Therfor be not oure good thing blasfemed.
16 Não deem motivo para os outros falarem mal daquilo que vocês acham bom.
17 For whi the rewme of God is not mete and drynk, but riytwisnesse and pees and ioye in the Hooli Goost.
17 Pois o Reino de Deus não é uma questão de comida ou de bebida, mas de viver corretamente, em paz e com a alegria que o Espírito Santo dá.
18 And he that in this thing serueth Crist, plesith God, and is proued to men.
18 E quem serve a Cristo dessa maneira agrada a Deus e é aprovado por todos.
19 Therfor sue we tho thingis that ben of pees, and kepe we togidere `tho thingis that ben of edificacioun.
19 Por isso procuremos sempre as coisas que trazem a paz e que nos ajudam a fortalecer uns aos outros na fé.
20 Nyle thou for mete distrie the werk of God. For alle thingis ben clene, but it is yuel to the man that etith bi offendyng.
20 Por uma questão de comida, não destrua o que Deus fez. Todos os alimentos podem ser comidos, mas é errado comer alguma coisa quando isso faz com que outra pessoa caia em pecado.
21 It is good to not ete fleisch, and to not drynke wyn, nethir in what thing thi brother offendith, or is sclaundrid, or is maad sijk.
21 O que está certo é não comer carne, não beber vinho, nem fazer qualquer outra coisa que leve um irmão a cair em pecado.
22 Thou hast feith anentis thi silf, haue thou bifore God. Blessid is he that demeth not hym silf in that thing that he preueth.
22 Mas guarde entre você mesmo e Deus o que você crê a respeito desse assunto. Feliz a pessoa que não é condenada pela consciência quando faz o que acha que deve fazer!
23 For he that demeth, is dampned, if he etith; for it is not of feith. And al thing that is not of feith, is synne.
23 Mas quem tem dúvidas a respeito do que come é condenado por Deus quando come, pois aquilo que ele faz não se baseia na fé. E o que não se baseia na fé é pecado.
