1 Josue was eld and of greet age; and the Lord seide to him, Thou hast woxe eld, and art of long tyme; and largeste lond is left, which is not yit departid bi lot;
1 Josué estava velho, avançado em anos, e o Senhor disse-lhe: Tu estás velho, de muita idade, e resta ainda um grandíssimo espaço de terra a conquistar.
2 that is, al Galile, Filistiym, and al Gessuri,
2 Eis o que resta: todas as províncias dos filisteus, toda a terra dos jessureus,
3 fro the troblid flood that moistith Egipt, `til to the termes of Acaron ayenus the north; the lond of Chanaan, which is departid `in to fyue litle kyngis of Filistym, of Gaza, and of Azotus, of Ascolon, of Geth, and of Accaron.
3 desde o Chihor que corre defronte do Egito, até os limites de Acaron para o norte, região considerada como cananéia; os cinco príncipes dos filisteus: o de Gaza, o de Azot, o de Ascalon, o de Get e o de Acaron;
4 Forsothe at the south ben Eueis, al the lond of Canaan, and Maara of Sidonyes, `til to Affetha, and to the termes of Amorrei, and the coostis of hym;
4 os heveus, ao meio-dia; toda a terra dos cananeus, e Maara dos sidônios, até Afec e a fronteira dos amorreus;
5 and the cuntrei of Liban ayens the eest, fro Baalgath, vndur the hil of Hermon, til thou entrist into Emath,
5 a terra dos gebalitas, e todo o Líbano, para o oriente, desde Baal-Gad ao pé do monte Hermon até a entrada de Hamat;
6 of alle men that dwelliden in the hil, fro the Liban `til to the watris of Masserephoth, and alle men of Sidon; Y am, that schal do awei hem fro the face of the sones of Israel; therfor come it in to the part of eritage of Israel, as Y comaundide to thee.
6 todos os habitantes da montanha, desde o Líbano até as águas de Maserefot, todos os sidônios. Eu os expulsarei diante dos israelitas. Reparte, pois, essa terra por sorte em herança a Israel, como prescrevi.
7 And thou now departe the lond in to possessioun to the nyne lynagis, and to the half lynage of Manasses,
7 E agora divide essa terra entre as nove tribos e a meia tribo de Manassés.
8 with which lynage Ruben and Gad weldiden the lond, which lond Moises, the `seruaunt of the Lord, yaf to hem biyende the flowyngis of Jordan, at the eest coost;
8 Os rubenitas, os gaditas e a outra metade da tribo de Manassés tinham recebido de Moisés sua parte além do Jordão ao oriente, assim como Moisés, servo do Senhor, lhes tinha marcado:
9 fro Aroer, which is set in the brynke of the stronde of Arnon, in the middis of the valei, and alle the feeldi places of Medaba,
9 desde Aroer, que está situada na margem da torrente do Arnon, e desde a cidade que está no meio do vale e toda a planície de Medaba, até Dibon;
10 `til to Dibon, and alle the citees of Seon, kyng of Amorreis, that regnyde in Esebon, `til to the termes of the sones of Amon,
10 todas as cidades de Seon, rei dos amorreus, que reinava em Hesebon, até a fronteira dos amonitas;
11 and of Galaad, and to the termes of Gessuri, and of Machati, and al the hil of Hermon, and al Basan, `til to Salecha;
11 Galaad, o território dos jessureus e dos macateus, toda a montanha do Hermon e todo o Basã até Saleca;
12 al the rewme of Og in Basan, that regnede in Astoroth, and in Edraym; `he was of the relikis of Rafaym, `that is, of giauntis; and Moises smoot hem and dide awey hem.
12 todo o reino de Og, em Basã, que reinava em Astarot e Edrai, último resto da descendência dos refains. Moisés bateu-os e expulsou-os.
13 And the sones of Israel nolden destrye Gessurri and Machati; and thei dwelliden in the myddis of Israel, `til in to present dai.
13 Os filhos de Israel, porém, não expulsaram os jessureus, nem os macateus, e assim esses povos ficaram habitando até o dia de hoje entre nós.
14 Sotheli he yaf not possessioun to the lynage of Leuy, but sacrifices, and slayn sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel; that is `his eritage, as God spak to hym.
14 A tribo de Levi foi a única que não recebeu herança de Moisés; porque os sacrifícios oferecidos pelo fogo ao Senhor, Deus de Israel, são a sua herança, como ele lho havia dito.
15 Therfor Moises yaf possessioun to the lynage of the sones of Ruben, bi her kynredis;
15 Moisés havia, pois, dado aos rubenitas a sua parte, segundo as suas famílias.
16 and `the term of hem was fro Aroer, which is set in the brenke of the stronde of Arnon, and in the myddil valei of the same stronde, al the pleyn that ledith to Medaba,
16 Seu território partia de Aroer, situada na margem da torrente de Arnon, e da cidade que está no meio da torrente, e compreendia toda a planície junto de Medaba,
17 and Esebon, and alle the townes of tho, that ben in the feeldi places; and Dibon, and Baal Bamoth, and the citee of Baal Meon,
17 Hesebon e todas as suas cidades na planície, Dibon, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baal-Maon,
18 and Gesa, and Sedymoth, and Mephe,
18 Jassa, Cedimot, Mefaat,
19 and Cariathaym, and Sabana, and Sarathaphar, in the hil of the valey of Betheroeth,
19 Cariataim, Sabama, Sarat-Asar na montanha do vale,
20 and of Asedoch, Phasca, and Bethaissymoth;
20 Bet-Fogor, as encostas do Fasga, Bet-Jesimot,
21 alle the feeldi citees, and alle the rewmes of Seon, kyng of Amorrey, that regnede in Esebon, whom Moyses smoot, with hise princes, Madian, Euey and Recten, and Sur, and Hur, and Rebee, duykis of Seon, enhabiters of the lond.
21 todas as cidades da planície, todo o reino de Seon, rei dos amorreus, de Hesebon, que Moisés havia derrotado com os príncipes de Madiã, Evi, Recém, Sur, Hur e Rebé, tributários de Seon naquela terra.
22 And the sones of Israel killiden bi swerd Balaam, the fals diuynour, the sone of Beor, with othere men slayn.
22 Entre os que foram mortos pela espada dos israelitas figura também o adivinho Balaão, filho de Beor.
23 And the terme of the sones of Ruben was maad the flood of Jordan; this is the possessioun of Rubenytis bi her kynredis of citees and of townes.
23 O rio Jordão ficou sendo o limite do território dos rubenitas. Tais são as cidades e aldeias que couberam aos rubenitas, segundo suas famílias.
24 And Moises yaf to the lynage of Gad, and to the sones therof, bi her kynredis, possessioun, of which this is departyng;
24 Moisés deu também aos gaditas uma parte segundo suas famílias.
25 he yaf the termes of Jazer, and alle the citees of Galaad, and the half part of the lond of the sones of Amon, `til to Aroer which is ayens Tabba;
25 Seu território foi o seguinte: Jaser, todas as cidades de Galaad, a metade da terra dos amonitas até Aroer, defronte de Raba,
26 and fro Esebon `til to Ramoth of Masphe, and Bethamyn, and Manayn, `til to the termes of Dabir;
26 desde Hesebon até Rabot-Masfé e Betonim, e desde Manaim até a fronteira de Dabir;
27 and in the valei he yaf Betharan, and Bethneuar, and Socoth, and Saphan, the tother part of the rewme of Seon, kyng of Esebon; and the ende of this is Jordan, `til to the laste part of the see of Cenereth ouer Jordan, at the eest coost.
27 e, no vale, Bet-Harão, Bet-Nemra, Socot e Safon, restos do reino de Seon, rei de Hesebon; o Jordão e seu território até os confins do mar de Ceneret, além do Jordão, para o oriente.
28 This is the possessioun of the sones of Gad, bi her meynees, the citees and townes of tho.
28 Tal foi, em cidades e em aldeias, a parte dos gaditas segundo suas famílias.
29 He yaf also possessioun to the half lynage of Manasses, and to hise sones, bi her kynredis,
29 Moisés dera também à meia tribo de Manassés, aos seus filhos, segundo as suas famílias, a sua parte.
30 of which possessioun this is the bigynnyng; he yaf Ammaym, and al Basan, and alle the rewmes of Og, kyng of Basan, and alle the townes of Jair, that ben in Basan, sixti citees;
30 O seu território compreendia Manaim, todo o Basã, todo o reino de Og, rei de Basã, e todas as aldeias de Jair em Basã: sessenta localidades.
31 and half the part of Galaad, and Astoroth, and Edray, the citees of the rewme of Og, kyng of Basan; to the sones of Machir, sones of Manasses, and to half the part of the sones of Machir, bi her kynredis.
31 A metade de Galaad, Astarot e Edrai, cidades do reino de Og em Basã, foram dadas aos filhos de Maquir, filho de Manassés, isto é, à metade dos filhos de Maquir, segundo suas famílias.
32 Moises departide this possessioun in the feeldi placis of Moab ouer Jordan, ayens Jericho, at the eest coost.
32 Tais são as partes que Moisés distribuiu nas planícies de Moab, além do Jordão, para o oriente, defronte de Jericó.
33 Forsothe he yaf not possessioun to the lynage of Leuy; for the Lord God himself of Israel is the possessioun of Leuy, as the Lord spak to hym.
33 À tribo de Levi, porém, não deu herança alguma, porque o Senhor, Deus de Israel, é a sua herança, como ele lho tinha dito.
