1 Forsothe it was don, whanne Jeremye spekinge to the puple hadde fillid alle the wordis of the Lord God of hem, for whiche the Lord God of hem sente hym to hem, alle these wordis,
1 E sucedeu que, acabando Jeremias de anunciar a todo o povo todas as palavras do Senhor , Deus deles, com as quais o Senhor , Deus deles, o havia enviado, e que foram todas aquelas palavras,
2 Azarie, the sone of Josie, seide, and Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle proude men, seiynge to Jeremye, Thou spekist a leesyng; oure Lord God sente not thee, and seide, Entre ye not in to Egipt, to dwelle there;
2 então, falou Azarias, filho de Hosaías, e Joanã, filho de Careá, e todos os homens soberbos, dizendo a Jeremias: Tu dizes mentiras; o Senhor , nosso Deus, não te enviou a dizer: Não entreis no Egito, para lá peregrinardes.
3 but Baruc, the sone of Nerie, stirith thee ayens vs, that he bitake vs in the hondis of Caldeis, that he sle vs, and make to be led ouer in to Babiloyne.
3 Baruque, filho de Nerias, é que te incita contra nós, para nos entregar nas mãos dos caldeus, para eles nos matarem ou para nos transportarem para a Babilônia.
4 And Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, and al the puple, herden not the vois of the Lord, that thei dwellen in the lond of Juda.
4 Não obedeceu, pois, Joanã, filho de Careá, nem nenhum de todos os príncipes dos exércitos, nem o povo todo à voz do Senhor , para ficarem na terra de Judá.
5 But Johanna, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, token alle of the remenauntis of Juda, that turneden ayen fro alle folkis, to whiche thei weren scatered bifore, that thei schulden dwelle in the lond of Juda;
5 Antes, tomou Joanã, filho de Careá, e todos os príncipes dos exércitos a todo o resto de Judá que havia voltado dentre todas as nações para onde haviam sido lançados com o fim de peregrinarem na terra de Judá;
6 thei token men, and wymmen, and litle children, and the douytris of the kyng, and ech persoone, whom Nabusardan, the prince of chyualrie, hadde left with Godolie, the sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan. And thei token Jeremye, the profete, and Baruc, the sone of Nerie,
6 aos homens, e às mulheres, e aos meninos, e às filhas do rei, e a toda alma que deixara Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, com Gedalias, filho de Aicão, filho de Safã; como também a Jeremias, o profeta, e a Baruque, filho de Nerias.
7 and thei entriden in to the lond of Egipt; for thei obeieden not to the vois of the Lord, and thei camen `til to Taphnys.
7 E entraram na terra do Egito, porque não obedeceram à voz do Senhor ; e vieram até Tafnes.
8 And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye in Taphnys,
8 Então, veio a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, em Tafnes, dizendo:
9 and seide, Take in thin hond grete stoonys, and hide thou tho in a denne, which is vndur the wal of tiil stoon, in the yate of the hous of Farao, in Taphnys, while alle Jewis seen.
9 Toma na tua mão pedras grandes e esconde-as entre o barro no forno que está à porta da casa de Faraó em Tafnes, perante os olhos de homens judeus.
10 And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal sende, and Y schal take Nabugodonosor, my seruaunt, the kyng of Babiloyne; and Y schal sette his trone on these stoonys, whiche Y hidde; and he schal sette his seete on tho stoonys.
10 E dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que eu enviarei, e tomarei a Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, meu servo, e porei o seu trono sobre estas pedras que escondi; e ele estenderá a sua tenda real sobre elas.
11 And he schal come, and smyte the lond of Egipt, whiche in deth in to deth, and whiche in caitiftee in to caitiftee, and whiche in swerd in to swerd.
11 E virá e ferirá a terra do Egito: quem para a morte, para a morte; e quem para o cativeiro, para o cativeiro; e quem para a espada, para a espada.
12 And he schal kindle fier in the templis of goddis of Egipt, and he schal brenne tho templis, and schal lede hem prisoneris; and the lond of Egipt schal be wlappid, as a scheepherd is wlappid in his mentil; and he schal go out fro thennus in pees.
12 E lançarei fogo às casas dos deuses do Egito, e ele queimá-los-á e levá-los-á cativos; e ornar-se-á da terra do Egito, como veste o pastor sua veste, e sairá dali em paz.
13 And he schal al to-breke the ymagis of the hous of the sunne, that ben in the lond of Egipt; and he schal brenne in fier the templis of the goddis of Egipt.
13 E quebrará as estátuas de Bete-Semes, que está na terra do Egito; e as casas dos deuses do Egito queimará.
