1 Wo to them that maken wickid lawis, and thei writynge han wryte vnriytfulnesse, for to oppresse pore men in doom,
1 Ai dos que promulgam injustos decretos, e escrevem coisas perversas as quais têm eles prescrito.
2 and to do violence to the cause of meke men of my puple; that widewis schulen be the prey of them, and that thei schulden rauysche fadirles children.
2 Para deixar de lado a pessoa carente, necessitada de julgamento, e para remover o direito do pobre dentre o meu povo, para que viúvas possam ser suas presas e que eles possam roubar o órfão de pai!
3 What schulen ye do in the dai of visitacioun, and of wretchidnesse comynge fro fer? To whos help schulen ye fle? and where schulen ye leeue youre glorie,
3 E o que fareis vós no dia da visitação e na desolação que virá de longe? Para quem fugireis vós para obter ajuda? E aonde vós deixareis vossa glória?
4 that ye be not bowid doun vndur boond, and falle not doun with slayn men? On alle these thingis his strong veniaunce is not turned awei, but yit his hond is stretchid forth.
4 Sem mim eles se curvarão debaixo dos prisioneiros, e cairão em uma condição abaixo dos assassinados. Apesar disto tudo, a ira dele não está desviada, porém sua mão está estendida, imóvel.
5 Wo to Assur, he is the yerde and staf of my strong veniaunce; myn indignacioun is in the hond of them.
5 Ó assírios, a vara da minha ira; e o bastão que está nas mãos deles é a minha indignação.
6 Y schal send hym to a fals folk, and Y schal comaunde to hym ayens the puple of my strong veniaunce; that he take awei the spuylis, and departe prey, and that he sette that puple in to defouling, as the fen of stretis.
6 Eu os enviarei contra uma nação hipócrita e contra o povo da minha cólera, darei a esses uma ordem de cobrança, para pegarem o despojo, para pegarem a presa, e para os pisarem como a lama das ruas.
7 Forsothe he schal not deme so, and his herte schal not gesse so, but his herte schal be for to al to-breke, and to the sleynge of many folkis.
7 Embora ele não considere isto, nem seu coração pense tal coisa; porém está no coração dele destruir e cortar nações, não umas poucas.
8 For he schal seie, Whether my princes ben not kyngis to gidere?
8 Porque ele diz: Não são meus príncipes, no geral, reis?
9 Whether not as Carcamys, so Calanno; and as Arphat, so Emath? whether not as Damask, so Samarie?
9 Não é Calno como Carquemis? Não é Hamate como Arpade? Não é Samaria como Damasco?
10 As myn hond foond the rewmes of idol, so and the symylacris of hem of Jerusalem and of Samarie.
10 Como minha mão tem alcançado os reinos dos ídolos, cujas imagens esculpidas os faziam exceder às de Jerusalém e de Samaria;
11 Whether not as Y dide to Samarie, and to the idols therof, so Y schal do to Jerusalem, and to the simylacris therof?
11 não irei eu, como tenho feito para com Samaria e os ídolos dela, então fazer para com Jerusalém e seus ídolos?
12 And it schal be, whanne the Lord hath fillid alle hise werkis in the hil of Syon and in Jerusalem, Y schal visite on the fruit of the greet doynge herte of the kyng of Assur, and on the glorie of the hiynesse of hise iyen.
12 Por conseguinte, acontecerá que, quando o Senhor estiver realizando o seu trabalho por inteiro sobre o monte Sião e sobre Jerusalém, eu punirei o fruto do coração arrogante do rei da Assíria, e a glória de seus olhares altivos.
13 For he seide, Y haue do in the strengthe of myn honde, and Y haue understonde in my wisdom; and Y haue take awei the endis of peplis, and Y haue robbid the princes of them, and Y as a myyti man haue drawun doun them that saten an hiy.
13 Porque ele diz: Pela força da minha mão eu tenho feito isto, e pela minha sabedoria; porque eu sou prudente, e tenho removido os termos dos povos e roubado seus tesouros; e eu tenho esmagado seus habitantes como um valente homem,
14 And myn hond foond the strengthe of puplis as a nest, and as eirun ben gaderid togidere that ben forsakun, so Y gaderid togidere al erthe; and noon was that mouyde a fethere, and openyde the mouth, and grutchide.
14 e minha mão tem alcançado, como a um ninho, os ricos do povo; e como um que ajunta ovos que são abandonados, tenho eu ajuntado toda a terra; e não houve ninguém que movesse a asa, ou abrisse a boca, ou piasse.
15 Whether an ax schal haue glorie ayens hym that kittith with it? ether a sawe schal be enhaunsid ayens hym of whom it is drawun? as if a yerde is reisid ayens hym that reisith it, and a staf is enhaunsid, which sotheli is a tre.
15 Deveria o machado gabar-se contra aquele que corta, utilizando-o? Ou deveria o serrote engrandecer-se contra aquele que o faz deslizar? Como se a vara devesse se agitar contra aqueles que a erguem ou como se o bastão devesse se erguer, como se não fosse madeira.
16 For this thing the lordli gouernour, Lord of oostis, schal sende thinnesse in the fatte men of hym, and his glorie kyndlid vndur schal brenne as `the brenning of fier.
16 Portanto, o Senhor, o Senhor dos Exércitos enviará, entre os que são gordos, magreza. E sob a sua glória Ele acenderá uma queima, como a queima de um incenso.
17 And the liyt of Israel schal be in fier, and the hooli of it in flawme; and the thorn of him and brere schal be kyndlid and deuourid in o dai.
17 E a luz de Israel será como um fogo, e o seu Santo será como uma chama. E isto queimará e devorará seus espinheiros e seus arbustos com espinhos em um dia.
18 And the glorie of his forest and of his Carmele schal be wastid, fro the soule `til to fleisch; and he schal be fleynge awei for drede.
18 E consumirá a glória de sua floresta e de seu campo fértil. Ambos, alma e corpo. E serão como quando um porta-bandeira desmaia.
19 And the relifs of the tree of his forest schulen be noumbrid for fewnesse, and a child schal write hem.
19 E o restante das árvores de sua floresta será pouco, de tal forma que uma criança possivelmente poderá desenhá-las.
20 And it schal be in that dai, the remenaunt of Israel, and thei that fledden of the house of Jacob, schal not adde for to triste on hym that smytith hem; but it schal triste on the hooli Lord of Israel, in treuthe.
20 E acontecerá naquele dia, que o remanescente de Israel, semelhante aos que escaparam da casa de Jacó, não mais se apoiarão sobre aqueles que os afligiram, mas eles se apoiarão sobre o SENHOR, o Santo de Israel, em verdade.
21 The relifs, Y seie, the relifs of Jacob, schulen be conuertid to the stronge Lord.
21 O remanescente retornará, o remanescente de Jacó, para o poderoso Deus.
22 Forwhi, Israel, if thi puple is as the grauel of the see, the relifs schulen be turned therof; an endyng maad schort schal make riytfulnesse to be plenteuouse.
22 Porquanto, embora teu povo Israel seja como a areia do mar, contudo um remanescente deles retornará. A destruição decretada transbordará com justiça.
23 For whi the Lord God of oostis schal make an endyng and a breggyng in the myddis of al erthe.
23 Porque o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos fará uma destruição, determinada, no meio de toda a terra.
24 For this thing the Lord God of oostis seith these thingis, My puple, the dwellere of Sion, nyle thou drede of Assur, for he schal smite thee in a yerde, and he schal reise his staf on thee in the weie of Egipt.
24 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos: Ó meu povo que mora em Sião, não esteja com medo da Assíria. Ele te golpeará com uma vara e erguerá o seu bordão contra ti, de acordo com a maneira do Egito.
25 Forwhi yit a litil, and a litil, and myn indignacioun and my strong veniaunce schal be endid on the greet trespas of hem.
25 Porque ainda em muito pouco tempo e a indignação cessará; e minha ira, na destruição deles.
26 And the Lord of oostis schal reise a scourge on hym bi the veniaunce of Madian in the stoon of Oreb, and bi his yerde on the see; and he schal reise that yerde in the wei of Egipt.
26 E o SENHOR dos Exércitos instigará um flagelo para ele de acordo com a matança de Midiã na rocha de Orebe. E como seu cajado estava sobre o mar, assim ele o erguerá, de acordo com a maneira do Egito.
27 And it schal be in that dai, his birthun schal be takun awei fro thi schuldre, and his yok fro thi necke; and the yok schal wexe rotun fro the face of oile.
27 E acontecerá naquele dia, que seu fardo será removido de sobre teu ombro, e teu jugo de sobre o teu pescoço, e o jugo será destruído por causa da unção.
28 He schal come in to Aioth, he schal passe in to Magron, at Magynas he schal bitake his vessels to kepyng.
28 Ele é chegado a Aiate, ele passa a Migrom. Em Micmás ele tem concentrado suas carruagens.
29 Thei passiden swiftli, Gabaa is oure seete, Rama was astonyed, Gabaa of Saul fled.
29 Eles atravessaram a passagem. Eles têm levantado seu acampamento temporário em Geba. Ramá está atemorizada, Gibeá de Saul fugiu.
30 Thou douytir of Gallym, weile with thi vois; thou Laisa, perseyue, thou pore Anatot.
30 Ergue tua voz, ó filha de Galim. Faça com que esta seja ouvida até Laís, ó pobre Anatote.
31 Medemena passide; the dwelleris of Gabyn fledden; be ye coumfortid.
31 Madmena escapou. Os habitantes de Gebim ajuntam-se para fugir.
32 Yit it is dai, that me stonde in Nobe; he schal dryue his hond on the hil of the douyter of Syon, on the litil hil of Jerusalem.
32 Porque ele ainda permanecerá em Nobe naquele dia. Ele sacudirá sua mão contra o monte da filha de Sião, a colina de Jerusalém.
33 Lo! the lordli gouernour, the Lord of oostis, schal breke a potel in drede, and hiy men of stature schulen be kit doun.
33 Eis que o Senhor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos, podará o galho com terror. E os grandes em estatura serão postos abaixo, e a soberba será humilhada.
34 And proude men schulen be maade low, and the thicke thingis of the forest schulen be distried bi irun; and the Liban with hiy thingis schal falle doun.
34 E ele porá abaixo as matas da floresta com ferro, e o Líbano cairá por intermédio de um Poderoso.
