1 Hennus forward, my britheren, haue ye ioye in the Lord. To write to you the same thingis, to me it is not slow, and to you it is necessarie.
1 No mais, meus irmãos, regozijai no Senhor. Escrever-vos as mesmas coisas não me é penoso, mas para vós é segurança.
2 Se ye houndis, se ye yuele werk men, se ye dyuysioun.
2 Guardai-vos dos cães, guardai-vos dos maus obreiros, cuidado com a mutilação.
3 For we ben circumcisioun, which bi spirit seruen to God, and glorien in Crist Jhesu, and han not trist in the fleisch,
3 Porque a circuncisão somos nós, que adoramos a Deus em espírito, e nos regozijamos em Cristo Jesus, e não temos confiança na carne.
4 thouy Y haue trust, yhe, in the fleisch. If ony othere man is seyn to triste in the fleisch,
4 Embora eu também possa ter confiança na carne; se algum outro homem pensa que pode confiar na carne, ainda mais eu:
5 Y more, that was circumcidid in the eiytthe dai, of the kyn of Israel, of the lynage of Beniamyn, an Ebrew of Ebrewis, bi the lawe a Farisee,
5 Circuncidado ao oitavo dia, da linhagem de Israel, da tribo de Benjamim, hebreu de hebreus; no tocante à lei, um fariseu,
6 bi loue pursuynge the chirche of God, bi riytwisnesse that is in the lawe lyuynge with out playnt.
6 segundo o zelo, perseguidor da igreja; no tocante à justiça que está na lei, irrepreensível.
7 But whiche thingis weren to me wynnyngis, Y haue demed these apeyryngis for Crist.
7 Mas as coisas que para mim eram consideradas como ganho, reputei-as como perda por Cristo.
8 Netheles Y gesse alle thingis to be peirement for the cleer science of Jhesu Crist my Lord. For whom Y made alle thingis peyrement, and Y deme as drit,
8 E, na verdade, tenho também por perda todas as coisas, pela excelência do conhecimento de Cristo Jesus, meu Senhor; pelo qual sofri a perda de todas estas coisas e as considero como esterco, para que possa ganhar a Cristo,
9 that Y wynne Crist, and that Y be foundun in hym, not hauynge my riytwisnesse that is of the lawe, but that that is of the feith of Crist Jhesu, that is of God the riytwisnesse in feith,
9 e seja achado nele, não tendo a minha própria justiça que vem da lei, mas a que vem pela fé de Cristo, a justiça que vem de Deus, pela fé.
10 to knowe hym, and the vertu of his risyng ayen, and the felouschipe of his passioun, and be maad lijk to his deeth,
10 Para conhecê-lo, e o poder da sua ressurreição, e a participação em seus sofrimentos, sendo feito conforme à sua morte;
11 if on ony maner Y come to the resurreccioun that is fro deth.
11 para ver se, de alguma maneira, eu possa chegar à ressurreição dos mortos.
12 Not that now Y haue takun, or now am parfit; but Y sue, if in ony maner Y comprehende, in which thing also Y am comprehendid of Crist Jhesu.
12 Não que já a tenha alcançado ou que seja perfeito; mas prossigo para alcançar aquilo para o que fui também alcançado por Cristo Jesus.
13 Bretheren, Y deme me not that Y haue comprehendid; but o thing, Y foryete tho thingis that ben bihyndis, and stretche forth my silf to tho thingis that ben bifore,
13 Irmãos, não julgo que o haja alcançado; mas uma coisa faço, e é que, esquecendo-me das coisas que atrás ficam e avançando para as coisas que estão diante de mim,
14 and pursue to the ordeyned mede of the hiy clepyng of God in Crist Jhesu.
14 prossigo para o alvo, pelo prêmio da soberana vocação de Deus em Cristo Jesus.
15 Therfor who euere we ben perfit, feele we this thing. And if ye vndurstonden in othere manere ony thing, this thing God schal schewe to you.
15 Por isso todos quantos já somos perfeitos, tenhamos este mesmo sentimento; e, se sentis alguma coisa de outra maneira, Deus deve revelar ainda esta a vós.
16 Netheles to what thing we han comun, that we vndurstonden the same thing, and that we perfitli dwelle in the same reule.
16 Porém, naquilo a que já chegamos, andemos segundo a mesma regra e sintamos a mesma coisa.
17 Britheren, be ye my foleweris, and weyte ye hem that walken so, as ye han oure fourme.
17 Irmãos, sede também meus seguidores, e marcai os que assim andam, segundo o exemplo que tendes em nós.
18 For many walken, whiche Y haue seid ofte to you, but now Y wepinge seie, the enemyes of Cristis cros,
18 (Porque muitos há, dos quais muitas vezes vos disse e agora também digo a vós, chorando, que eles são inimigos da cruz de Cristo.
19 who ende is deth, whos god is the wombe, and the glorie in confusioun of hem, that saueren ertheli thingis.
19 Cujo fim é a destruição, cujo deus é o seu ventre, e cuja glória é a sua vergonha, que só pensam nas coisas terrenas).
20 But oure lyuyng is in heuenes; fro whennus also we abiden the sauyour oure Lord Jhesu Crist,
20 Mas a nossa cidadania está nos céus, de onde também esperamos o Salvador, o Senhor Jesus Cristo,
21 which schal reforme the bodi of oure mekenesse, that is maad lijk to the bodi of his clerenesse, bi the worching bi which he mai `also make alle thingis suget to hym.
21 que transformará o nosso corpo vil, para ser conforme o seu corpo glorioso, de acordo com o trabalho pelo qual ele é capaz de submeter todas as coisas para si mesmo.
