1 And he turnede me to the yate of the hous; and lo! watris yeden out vndur the threisfold of the hous to the eest; for the face of the hous bihelde to the eest; forsothe the watris camen doun in to the riyt side of the temple, to the south part of the auter.
1 O homem me levou de volta até a entrada do Templo. Debaixo da entrada, saía água que corria na direção do leste, pois o Templo dava frente para esse lado. A água corria por baixo do lado sul do Templo, ao sul do altar.
2 And he ledde me out bi the weie of the north yate, and he turnede me to the weie with out the outermere yate, to the weie that biholdith to the eest; and lo! watris flowynge fro the riyt side,
2 Então o homem me fez sair da área do Templo pelo portão norte e me levou pelo lado de fora até o portão que dá para o leste. Um riacho saía do lado sul do portão.
3 whanne the man that hadde a coord in his hond, yede out to the eest. And he mat a thousynde cubitis, and ledde me ouer thorou the water til to the heelis.
3 Com a sua vara de medir, o homem mediu quinhentos metros na direção da correnteza, para o leste. Ele me fez atravessar o riacho ali, e a água chegou aos meus tornozelos.
4 And eft he mat a thousynde, and ledde me ouer thorouy the watir `til to the knees.
4 Em seguida, ele mediu mais quinhentos metros, e a água subiu até os meus joelhos. Mais quinhentos metros, e a água chegou até a minha cintura.
5 And eft he mat a thousynde, and ledde me ouer thorouy the watir `til to the reynes. And he mat a thousynde, the stronde which Y myyte not passe; for the depe watris of the stronde hadden wexe greet, that mai not be waad ouer.
5 Finalmente, mediu mais quinhentos metros, e o rio era tão fundo, que eu não podia atravessar. Era fundo demais para ser atravessado, a não ser a nado.
6 And he seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn. And he seide to me; and he turnede me to the ryuere of the stronde.
6 Aí ele me disse: — Então o homem me levou de novo para a margem.
7 And whanne Y hadde turned me, lo! in the ryuer of the stronde ful many trees on euer either side.
7 Quando cheguei lá, vi que havia muitas árvores nos dois lados.
8 And he seide to me, These watris that goon out to the heepis of soond of the eest, and goen doun to pleyn places of desert, schulen entre in to the see, and schulen go out; and the watris schulen be heelid.
8 Então ele me disse: — Esta água corre para o leste e desce até o rio Jordão e até o mar Morto. Quando entra neste mar, ela faz com que a água salgada do mar vire água doce.
9 And ech lyuynge beeste that creepith, schal lyue, whidur euere the stronde schal come; and fischis many ynow schulen be, aftir that these watris comen thidur, and schulen be heelid, and schulen lyue; alle thingis to whiche the stronde schal come, schulen lyue.
9 Em todo lugar por onde esse rio passar, haverá todo tipo de animais e de peixes. O rio fará com que as águas do mar Morto fiquem boas e ele trará vida por onde passar.
10 And fisshers schulen stonde on tho watris; fro Engaddi `til to Engallym schal be driyng of nettis; ful many kyndis of fischis therof schulen be, as the fischis of the greet see, of ful greet multitude;
10 Desde a Fonte de Gedi até a de Eglaim haverá pescadores na praia do mar, e ali eles estenderão as suas redes para secarem. Haverá ali muito peixe e muitas espécies de peixes, como no mar Mediterrâneo.
11 but in brynkis therof and in maraisis watris shulen not be heelid, for tho `schulen be youun in to places of makynge of salt.
11 Mas nos brejos e nos charcos a água não ficará boa. Essa água servirá para a produção de sal.
12 And ech tree berynge fruit schal growe on the stronde, in the ryueris therof on ech side; a leef therof schal not falle doun, and the fruyt therof schal not faile; bi alle monethis it schal bere firste fruytis, for the watris therof schulen go out of the seyntuarie; and the fruytis therof schulen be in to mete, and the leeuys therof to medicyn.
12 Nas duas margens do rio, crescerão árvores frutíferas de todo tipo. As suas folhas nunca murcharão, e as árvores nunca deixarão de dar frutas. Darão frutas novas todos os meses, pois são regadas pelo rio que vem do Templo. As frutas servirão de alimento, e as folhas, de remédio.
13 The Lord God seith these thingis, This is the ende, in which ye schulen welde the lond, in the twelue lynagis of Israel; for Joseph hath double part.
13 O Senhor Deus disse: — São estes os limites da terra que será dividida entre as doze
14 Forsothe ye schulen welde it, ech man euenli as his brother; on which Y reiside myn hond, that Y schulde yyue to youre fadris; and this lond schal falle to you in to possessioun.
14 Eu jurei aos antepassados de vocês que daria esta terra a eles para ser sua propriedade. Agora dividam entre vocês a terra em partes iguais.
15 This is the ende of the lond at the north coost fro the grete see, the weie of Bethalon to men comynge to Sedala,
15 — Ao norte, a fronteira vai para o leste, do mar Mediterrâneo até a cidade de Hetlom, até a subida de Hamate, até as cidades de Zedade,
16 Emath, Beroth, Sabarym, which is in the myddis bitwixe Damask and niy coostis of Emath, the hous of Thichon, which is bisidis the endis of Auran.
16 Berota e Sibraim (que ficam entre o território do Reino de Damasco e o do Reino de Hamate) e a cidade de Haticom (que está na fronteira do Reino de Haurã).
17 And the ende schal be fro the see `til to the porche of Ennon, the ende of Damask, and fro the north til to the north, the ende of Emath; forsothe this is the north coost.
17 Ao norte, a fronteira vai para o leste, do mar Mediterrâneo até a cidade de Enom, ficando ao norte as regiões das fronteiras de Damasco e Hamate.
18 Certis the eest coost fro the myddis of Auran, and fro the myddis of Damask, and fro the myddis of Galaad, and fro the myddis of the lond of Israel, is Jordan departynge at the eest see, also ye schulen mete the eest coost.
18 — A leste, a fronteira vai para o sul, de um lugar entre o território de Damasco e o de Haurã, sendo que o rio Jordão forma a divisa entre a terra de Israel, a oeste, e Gileade, a leste, até a cidade de Tamar, no mar Morto.
19 Forsothe the south coost of myddai is fro Thamar til to the watris of ayenseiyng of Cades; and the stronde til to the greet see, and the south coost at myddai.
19 — Ao sul, a fronteira vai na direção do sudoeste, de Tamar até o oásis de Cades Meribá, e daí na direção noroeste ao longo da divisa do Egito até o mar Mediterrâneo.
20 And the coost of the see is the greet see, fro the niy coost bi streiyt, til thou come to Emath; this is the coost of the see.
20 — A oeste, a divisa é formada pelo Mediterrâneo e vai para o norte até um lugar a oeste da subida de Hamate.
21 And ye schulen departe this lond to you bi the lynagis of Israel;
21 — Dividam essa terra entre as suas tribos;
22 and ye schulen sende it in to eritage to you, and to comelyngis that comen to you, that gendriden sones in the myddis of you; and thei schulen be to you as men borun in the lond among the sones of Israel; with you thei schulen departe possessioun, in the myddis of the lynages of Israel.
22 ela será de vocês como propriedade permanente. Quando vocês dividirem a terra, os estrangeiros que estiverem vivendo no meio de vocês e que tiverem tido filhos nascidos aqui receberão também a parte deles. Eles serão tratados como cidadãos israelitas e tirarão sorte para receber a sua parte junto com as tribos de Israel.
23 Forsothe in what euer lynage a comelyng is, there ye schulen yyue possessioun to hym, seith the Lord God.
23 Cada estrangeiro que estiver morando em Israel receberá a sua parte junto com o povo da tribo no meio da qual estiver vivendo. Eu, o Senhor Deus, falei.
