1 This is the blessing, bi which Moises, the man of God, blesside the sones of Israel bifor his deeth;
1 Esta é a bênção que Moisés, homem de Deus, deu aos israelitas antes de sua morte:
2 and seide, The Lord cam fro Syna, and he roos to us fro Seir; he apperide fro the hil of Pharan, and thousandis of seyntis with hym; a lawe of fier in his riythond.
2 “O S enhor veio do monte Sinai e alvoreceu sobre nós resplandeceu desde o monte Parã e veio de Meribá-Cades com fogo ardente em sua mão direita.
3 He louede puplis; alle seyntis ben in his hond, and thei that neiyen to hise feet schulen take of his doctryn.
3 Por certo ele ama seu povo; todos os seus santos estão em suas mãos. Seguem seus passos e recebem seus ensinamentos.
4 Moisis comaundide lawe `to vs, eritage of the multitude of Jacob.
4 Moisés nos deu a lei, a propriedade especial do povo de Israel.
5 And the king schal be at the moost riytful, whanne princes of the puple schulen be gaderid togidere with the lynagis of Israel.
5 O S enhor era rei em Jesurum, quando os líderes do povo se reuniram, quando as tribos de Israel se juntaram como uma só”.
6 Ruben lyue, and die not, and be he litil in noumbre.
6 “Que a tribo de Rúben viva e não desapareça, embora não seja numerosa”.
7 This is the blessyng of Juda; Lord, here thou the vois of Juda, and brynge in hym to his puple; hise hondis schulen fiyte for hym, and the helpere of hym schal be ayens hise aduersaries.
7 Foi isto que Moisés disse a respeito da tribo de Judá: “Ó S e reúne-os como um só povo. Dá-lhes forças para defender sua causa; ajuda-os contra seus inimigos”.
8 Also he seide to Leuy, Thi perfeccioun and thi techyng is of an hooly man, whom thou preuedist in temptacioun, and demedist at the Watris of Ayenseiynge;
8 A respeito da tribo de Levi, disse: “Ó S as sortes sagradas, a teus servos fiéis. Tu os provaste em Massá e lutaste com eles junto às águas de Meribá.
9 which Leuy seide to his fadir and to his modir, Y knowe not you, and to hise britheren, Y knowe not hem; and knewen not her sones. These kepten thi speche, and these kepten thi couenaunt; A!
9 Os levitas obedeceram à tua palavra e guardaram a tua aliança. Foram mais leais a ti que aos próprios pais. Ignoraram os parentes e não reconheceram os próprios filhos.
10 Jacob, thei kepten thi domes, and `thou, Israel, thei kepten thi lawe; thei schulen putte encense in thi strong veniaunce, and brent sacrifice on thin auter.
10 Ensinaram teus estatutos a Jacó, deram tuas instruções a Israel. Oferecem incenso diante de ti e apresentam holocaustos inteiros no teu altar.
11 Lord, blesse thou the strengthe of hym, and resseyue thou the werkis of his hondis; smyte thou the backis of hise enemyes, and thei that haten hym, rise not.
11 Abençoa o serviço dos levitas, ó S enhor , e aceita todo o trabalho de suas mãos. Quebra os quadris de seus inimigos; derruba seus adversários, para que nunca voltem a se levantar”.
12 And he seide to Benjamyn, The moost loued of the Lord schal dwelle tristili in hym, `that is, in the Lord; he schal dwelle al day as in a chaumbur, and he schal reste bitwixe the schuldris of hym.
12 A respeito da tribo de Benjamim, disse: “Benjamim é amado pelo S e vive em segurança ao seu lado. Ele o protege continuamente e o faz descansar sobre seus ombros”.
13 Also he seide to Joseph, `His lond is of the Lordis blessyng; of the applis of heuene, and of the dewe, and of watir liggynge bynethe;
13 A respeito da tribo de José, disse: “O S com a dádiva preciosa do orvalho do céu e água das profundezas da terra;
14 of the applis of fruytis of the sunne and moone; of the coppe of elde munteyns,
14 com os ricos frutos que amadurecem ao sol e as colheitas fartas de cada mês;
15 and of the applis of euerlastynge litle hillis;
15 com as mais excelentes safras dos montes antigos, e os ricos frutos das colinas eternas;
16 and of the fruytis of the lond, and of the fulnesse therof. The blessyng of hym that apperide in the busch come on the heed of Joseph, and on the cop of Nazarey, `that is, hooli, among hise britheren.
16 com as melhores dádivas da terra e sua fartura, e o favor daquele que apareceu no arbusto em chamas. Que essas bênçãos repousem sobre a cabeça de José e coroem a fronte do príncipe entre seus irmãos.
17 As the first gendrid of a bole is the feirnesse of hym; the hornes of an vnicorn ben the hornes of hym; in tho he schal wyndewe folkis, `til to the termes of erthe. These ben the multitudis of Effraym, and these ben the thousyndis of Manasses.
17 José é majestoso como um touro jovem; tem a força de um boi selvagem. Com seus chifres expulsará as nações distantes até os confins da terra. Essa é a minha bênção para as multidões de Efraim e para os milhares de Manassés”.
18 And he seide to Zabulon, Zabulon, be thou glad in thi goyng out, and, Ysacar, in thi tabernaclis.
18 A respeito da tribo de Zebulom, disse: “Que o povo de Zebulom prospere em suas viagens, que o povo de Issacar prospere em suas tendas.
19 Thei schulen clepe puplis to the hil, there thei schulen offre sacrifices of riytfulnesse; whiche schulen souke the flowing of the see as mylk, and hid tresours of grauel.
19 Convocam o povo ao monte para ali oferecer os sacrifícios apropriados. Fartam-se das riquezas do mar e dos tesouros escondidos na areia”.
20 And he seide to Gad, Gad is blessid in broodnesse; he restide as a lioun, and he took the arm and the nol.
20 A respeito da tribo de Gade, disse: “Abençoado é aquele que expande o território de Gade! Gade fica à espreita como leão, para arrancar um braço ou uma cabeça.
21 And he siy his prinshed, that `the techere was kept in his part; which Gad was with the princes of the puple, and dide the riytfulnesses of the Lord, and his doom with Israel.
21 O povo de Gade tomou para si a melhor parte da terra; a ele foi entregue a porção do líder. Quando os líderes do povo estavam reunidos, executou a justiça do S e obedeceu a seus estatutos para Israel”.
22 Also he seide to Dan, Dan, a whelp of a lioun, schal flowe largeli fro Basan.
22 A respeito da tribo de Dã, disse: “Dã é filhote de leão, que salta de Basã”.
23 And he seide to Neptalym, Neptalym schal vse abundaunce, and he schal be ful with blessyngis of the Lord; and he schal welde the see and the south.
23 A respeito da tribo de Naftali, disse: “Ó Naftali, você é rico em favor e repleto das bênçãos do S herdará as terras do oeste e do sul”.
24 Also he seide to Aser, Aser, be blessid in sones, and plese he hise britheren; dippe he his foot in oile.
24 E, a respeito da tribo de Aser, disse: “Que Aser seja mais abençoado que os outros filhos; seja ele estimado por seus irmãos e banhe os pés em óleo de oliva.
25 Yrun and bras the scho of hym; as the dai of thi youthe so and thin eelde.
25 Que as trancas de suas portas sejam de ferro e bronze e sua força dure por todos os seus dias”.
26 Noon other god is as the God of the moost riytful, that is, `as the God `of the puple of Israel, gouerned bi moost riytful lawe; the stiere of heuene is thin helpere; cloudis rennen aboute bi the glorie of hym.
26 “Não há ninguém como o Deus de Jesurum! Ele cavalga pelos céus para ajudá-los e monta as nuvens com majestoso esplendor.
27 His dwellynge place is aboue, and armes euerlastynge ben bynethe; he schal caste out fro thi face the enemy, and he schal seie, Be thou al to-brokun.
27 O Deus eterno é seu refúgio, e seus braços eternos os sustentam. Expulsa os inimigos de diante de vocês e grita: ‘Destruam esses povos!’.
28 Israel schal dwelle trustili and aloone; the iye of Jacob in the lond of whete, and of wyn; and heuenes schulen be derk with dew.
28 Israel viverá em paz, a fonte de Jacó estará segura numa terra de cereais e vinho novo, onde os céus gotejam orvalho.
29 Blessed art thou, Israel; thou puple that art saued in the Lord, who is lijk thee? The scheld of thin help and the swerd of thi glorie is thi God; thin enemyes schulen denye thee, and thou schalt trede her neckis.
29 Como você é feliz, ó Israel! Quem é como você, povo salvo pelo S Ele é seu escudo protetor e sua espada triunfante! Seus inimigos se encolherão de medo diante de você, e você lhes pisoteará as costas”.
