1 Ye heuenes, here what thingis Y schal speke; the erthe here the wordis of my mouth.
1 Escutem, ó céus, e eu falarei; ouça, ó terra, as palavras da minha boca.
2 My techyng wexe togidere as reyn; my speche flete out as dew, as lytil reyn on eerbe, and as dropis on gras.
2 Que o meu ensino caia como chuva e as minhas palavras desçam como orvalho, como chuva branda sobre o pasto novo, como garoa sobre tenras plantas.
3 For Y schal inwardli clepe the name of the Lord; yyue ye glorie to oure God.
3 Proclamarei o nome do Senhor. Louvem a grandeza do nosso Deus!
4 The werkis of God ben perfit, and alle hise weies ben domes; God is feithful, and without ony wickidnesse; God is iust and riytful.
4 Ele é a Rocha, as suas obras são perfeitas, e todos os seus caminhos são justos. É Deus fiel, que não comete erros; justo e reto ele é.
5 Thei synneden ayens hym, and not hise sones in filthis, `that is, of idolatrie; schrewid and waiward generacioun.
5 Seus filhos têm agido corruptamente para com ele, e não como filhos; que vergonha! São geração pervertida e transviada.
6 Whether thou yeldist these thingis to the Lord, thou fonned puple and vnwijs? Whether he is not thi fadir, that weldide thee, and made, `and made thee of nouyt?
6 É assim que retribuem ao Senhor, povo insensato e ignorante? Não é ele o Pai de vocês, o seu Criador, que os fez e os formou?
7 Haue thou minde of elde daies, thenke thou alle generaciouns; axe thi fadir, and he schal telle to thee, axe thi grettere men, and thei schulen seie to thee.
7 Lembrem-se dos dias do passado; considerem as gerações há muito passadas. Perguntem aos seus pais, e estes lhes contarão, aos seus líderes, e eles lhes explicarão.
8 Whanne the hiyeste departide folkis, whanne he departide the sones of Adam, he ordeynede the termes of puplis bi the noumbre of the sones of Israel.
8 Quando o Altíssimo deu às nações a sua herança, quando dividiu toda a humanidade, estabeleceu fronteiras para os povos de acordo com o número dos filhos de Israel.
9 Forsothe the part of the Lord is his puple; Jacob is the litil part of his eritage.
9 Pois o povo preferido do Senhor é este povo, Jacó é a herança que lhe coube.
10 The Lord foond hym in a deseert lond, `that is, priued of Goddis religioun, in the place of orrour `ethir hidousnesse, and of wast wildirnesse; the Lord ledde hym aboute, and tauyte hym, and kepte as the apple of his iye.
10 Numa terra deserta ele o encontrou, numa região árida e de ventos uivantes. Ele o protegeu e dele cuidou; guardou-o como a menina dos seus olhos,
11 As an egle stirynge his briddis to fle, and fleynge on hem, he spredde forth his wyngis, and took hem, and bar in hise schuldris.
11 como a águia que desperta a sua ninhada, paira sobre os seus filhotes, e depois estende as asas para apanhá-los, levando-os sobre elas.
12 The Lord aloone was his ledere, and noon alien god was with hym.
12 O Senhor sozinho o levou; nenhum deus estrangeiro o ajudou.
13 The Lord ordeynede hym on an hiy lond, that he schulde ete the fruytis of feeldis, that he schulde souke hony of a stoon, and oile of the hardeste roche;
13 Ele o fez cavalgar nos lugares altos da terra e o alimentou com o fruto dos campos. Ele o nutriu com mel tirado da rocha, e com óleo extraído do penhasco pedregoso,
14 botere of the droue, and mylke of scheep, with the fatnesse of lambren and of rammes, of the sones of Basan; and that he schulde ete kydis with the merowe of wheete, and schulde drynke the cleereste blood of grape.
14 com coalhada e leite do gado e do rebanho, e com cordeiros e bodes cevados; com os melhores carneiros de Basã e com as mais excelentes sementes de trigo. Você bebeu o espumoso sangue das uvas.
15 The louede puple was `maad fat, and kikide ayen; maad fat withoutforth, maad fat with ynne, and alargid; he forsook God his makere, and yede awei fro `God his helthe.
15 Jesurum engordou e deu pontapés; você engordou, tornou-se pesado e farto de alimentos. Abandonou o Deus que o fez e rejeitou a Rocha, que é o seu Salvador.
16 Thei terriden hym to ire in alien goddis, and thei excitiden to wrathfulnesse in abhomynaciouns.
16 Eles o deixaram com ciúmes por causa dos deuses estrangeiros, e o provocaram com os seus ídolos abomináveis.
17 Thei offriden to feendis, and not to God, to goddis whiche thei knewen not, newe goddis, and freische camen, whiche `the fadris of hem worschipiden not.
17 Sacrificaram a demônios que não são Deus, a deuses que não conheceram, a deuses que surgiram recentemente, a deuses que os seus antepassados não adoraram.
18 Thou hast forsake God that gendride thee, and thou hast foryete `thi Lord creatour.
18 Vocês abandonaram a Rocha, que os gerou; vocês se esqueceram do Deus que os fez nascer.
19 The Lord siy, and was stirid to wrathfulnesse; for hise sones and douytris terriden hym.
19 O Senhor viu isso e os rejeitou, porque foi provocado pelos seus filhos e suas filhas.
20 And the Lord seide, Y schal hyde my face fro hem, and Y schal biholde `the laste thingis of hem; for it is a waiward generacioun, and vnfeithful sones.
20 "Esconderei o meu rosto deles", disse, "e verei qual o fim que terão; pois são geração perversa, filhos infiéis.
21 Thei terriden me in hym that was not God, and thei `terriden to ire in her vanytees; and Y schal terre hem in hym, that is not a puple, and Y schal terre hem `to yre in a fonned folk.
21 Provocaram-me os ciúmes com aquilo que nem deus é e irritaram-me com seus ídolos inúteis. Farei que tenham ciúmes de quem não é meu povo; eu os provocarei à ira por meio de uma nação insensata.
22 Fier, that is, peyne maad redi to hem, is kyndlid in my stronge veniaunce, and it schal brenne `til to the laste thingis of helle; and it schal deuoure the lond with his fruyt, and it schal brenne the foundementis of hillis.
22 Pois um fogo foi aceso pela minha ira, fogo que queimará até às profundezas do Sheol. Ele devorará a terra e as suas colheitas e consumirá os alicerces dos montes.
23 Y schal gadere `yuels on hem, and Y schal fille myn arewis in hem.
23 "Amontoarei desgraças sobre eles e contra eles gastarei as minhas flechas.
24 Thei schulen be waastid with hungur, and briddis schulen deuoure hem with bitteriste bityng; Y schal sende in to hem the teeth of beestis, with the woodnesse of wormes drawynge on erthe, and of serpentis.
24 Enviarei dentes de feras, uma fome devastadora, uma peste avassaladora e uma praga mortal; enviarei contra eles dentes de animais selvagens, e veneno de víboras que se arrastam no pó.
25 Swerd with outforth and drede with ynne schal waaste hem; a yong man and a virgyn togidre, a soukynge child with an elde man.
25 Nas ruas a espada os deixará sem filhos; em seus lares reinará o terror. Morrerão moços e moças, crianças e homens já grisalhos.
26 And Y seide, Where ben thei? Y schal make the mynde of hem to ceesse of men.
26 Eu disse que os dispersaria e que apagaria da humanidade a lembrança deles.
27 But Y delayede for the yre of enemyes, lest perauenture `the enemyes of hem shulden be proude, and seie, Oure hiy hond, and not the Lord, dide alle these thingis.
27 Mas temi a provocação do inimigo, que o adversário entendesse mal e dissesse: ‘A nossa mão triunfou; o Senhor nada fez’. "
28 It is a folk with out counsel, and with out prudence;
28 É uma nação sem juízo; não têm discernimento.
29 Y wolde that thei saueriden, and `vnderstoden, and purueiden the laste thingis.
29 Quem dera fossem sábios e entendessem; e compreendessem qual será o seu fim!
30 How pursuede oon of enemyes a thousynde of Jewis, and tweyne dryuen awey ten thousynde? Whether not therfore for her God selde hem, and the Lord closide hem togidere?
30 Como poderia um só homem perseguir mil, ou dois porem em fuga dez mil, a não ser que a sua Rocha os tivesse vendido, a não ser que o Senhor os tivesse abandonado?
31 For oure God is not as the goddis of hem, and oure enemyes ben iugis.
31 Pois a rocha deles não é como a nossa Rocha, com o que até mesmo os nossos inimigos concordam.
32 The vyner of hem is of the vyner of Sodom, and of the subarbis of Gomorre; the grape of hem is the grape of galle, and the clustre is most bittir.
32 A vinha deles é de Sodoma e das lavouras de Gomorra. Suas uvas estão cheias de veneno, e seus cachos, de amargura.
33 The galle of dragouns is the wyn of hem, and the venym of eddris, that may not be heelid.
33 O vinho deles é a peçonha das serpentes, o veneno mortal das cobras.
34 Whether these thingis ben not hid at me, and ben seelid in myn tresouris?
34 "Acaso não guardei isto em segredo? Não o selei em meus tesouros?
35 Veniaunce is myn, and Y schal yelde to hem in tyme, that the foot of hem slide; the dai of perdicioun is nyy, and tymes hasten to be present.
35 A mim pertence a vingança e a retribuição. No devido tempo os pés deles escorregarão; o dia da sua desgraça está chegando e o seu próprio destino se apressa sobre eles. "
36 The Lord schal deme his puple, and he schal do merci in hise seruauntis; the puple schal se that the hond of fiyteres is sijk, and also men closid failiden, and the residues ben waastid.
36 O Senhor julgará o seu povo e terá compaixão dos seus servos, quando vir que a força deles se esvaiu e que ninguém sobrou, nem escravo nem livre.
37 And thei schulen seie, Where ben `the goddis of hem, in whiche thei hadden trust?
37 Ele dirá: "Agora, onde estão os seus deuses, a rocha em que se refugiaram,
38 Of whos sacrifices thei eeten fatnessis, and drunkun the wyn of fletynge sacrifices, rise thei and helpe you, and defende thei you in nede.
38 os deuses que comeram a gordura dos seus sacrifícios e beberam o vinho das suas ofertas derramadas? Que eles se levantem para ajudá-los! Que eles lhes ofereçam abrigo!
39 Se ye that Y am aloone, and noon other God is outakun me; Y schal sle, and Y schal make to lyue; Y schal smyte, and Y schal make hool; and noon is that may delyuere fro myn hond.
39 "Vejam agora que eu sou o único, eu mesmo. Não há deus além de mim. Faço morrer e faço viver, feri e curarei, e ninguém é capaz de livrar-se da minha mão.
40 And Y schal reise myn hond to heuene, and Y schal seie, Y lyue with outen ende.
40 Ergo a minha mão para os céus e declaro: Juro pelo meu nome que,
41 If Y schal whette my swerd as leit, and myn hond schal take doom, Y schal yelde veniaunce to myn enemyes, and Y schal quyte to hem that haten me.
41 quando eu afiar a minha espada refulgente e a minha mão empunhá-la para julgar, eu me vingarei dos meus adversários e retribuirei àqueles que me odeiam.
42 Y schal fille myn arewis with blood, and my swerd schal deuoure fleischis of the blood of hem that ben slayn, and of the caitifte of the heed of enemyes maad nakid.
42 Embeberei as minhas flechas em sangue, enquanto a minha espada devorar carne: o sangue dos mortos e dos cativos, as cabeças dos líderes inimigos".
43 Folkis, preise ye the puplis of hym, for he schal venie the blood of hise seruauntis, and he schal yelde veniaunce in to the enemyes of hem; and he schal be merciful to the lond of his puple.
43 Cantem de alegria, ó nações, com o povo dele, pois ele vingará o sangue dos seus servos; retribuirá com vingança aos seus adversários e fará propiciação por sua terra e por seu povo.
44 Therfor Moises cam, and spak alle the wordis of this song in the eeris of the puple; bothe he and Josue, the sone of Nun.
44 Moisés veio com Josué, filho de Num, e recitou todas as palavras desta canção na presença do povo.
45 And `he fillide alle these wordis, and spak to alle Israel, and seide to hem,
45 Quando Moisés terminou de recitar todas essas palavras a todo o Israel,
46 Putte ye youre hertis in to alle the wordis whiche Y witnesse to you to day, that ye comaunde to youre sones, to kepe, and do tho, and to fulfille alle thingis that ben writun in the book of this lawe;
46 disse-lhes: "Guardem no coração todas as palavras que hoje lhes declarei solenemente, para que ordenem aos seus filhos que obedeçam fielmente a todas as palavras desta lei.
47 for not in veyn tho ben comaundid to you, but that alle men schulden lyue in tho; whiche wordis ye schulen do, and schulen contynue in long tyme in the lond, to which ye schulen entre to welde, whanne Jordan is passid.
47 Elas não são palavras inúteis. São a sua vida. Por meio delas vocês viverão muito tempo na terra da qual tomarão posse do outro lado do Jordão".
48 And the Lord spak to Moises in the same day,
48 Naquele mesmo dia o Senhor disse a Moisés:
49 and seide, Stie thou in to this hil Abirym, that is, passyng, in to the hil of Nebo, which is in the lond of Moab, ayens Jerico; and se thou the lond of Canaan, which Y schal yyue to the sones of Israel to holde, and die thou in the hil.
49 "Suba as montanhas de Abarim, até o monte Nebo, em Moabe, em frente de Jericó, e contemple Canaã, a terra que dou aos israelitas como propriedade.
50 In to which hil thou schalt stie, and schalt be ioyned to thi puplis, as Aaron, thi brother, was deed in the hil of Hor, and was put to his puplis.
50 Ali, na montanha que você tiver subido, você morrerá e será reunido aos seus antepassados, assim como o seu irmão Arão morreu no monte Hor e foi reunido aos seus antepassados.
51 For ye trespassiden ayens me, in the myddis of the sones of Israel, at the Watris of Ayenseiyng, in Cades of deseert of Syn; and ye halewiden not me among the sones of Israel.
51 Assim será porque vocês dois foram infiéis para comigo na presença dos israelitas, junto às águas de Meribá, em Cades, no deserto de Zim, e porque vocês não sustentaram a minha santidade no meio dos israelitas.
52 Ayenward thou schalt se the lond, and schalt not entre in to it, which Y schal yyue to the sones of Israel.
52 Portanto, você verá a terra somente à distância, mas não entrará na terra que estou dando ao povo de Israel".
