1 Forsothe if thou herist the vois of thi Lord God, that thou do and kepe alle hise comaundementis, whiche Y comaunde to thee to dai, thi Lord God schal make the hiyere than alle folkis that lyuen in erthe.
1 Se atentamente ouvires a voz do Senhor , teu Deus, tendo cuidado de guardar todos os seus mandamentos que hoje te ordeno, o Senhor , teu Deus, te exaltará sobre todas as nações da terra.
2 And alle these blessyngis schulen come on thee, and schulen take thee; if netheles thou herist hise comaundementis.
2 Se ouvires a voz do Senhor , teu Deus, virão sobre ti e te alcançarão todas estas bênçãos:
3 Thou schalt be blessid in citee, and blessid in feeld;
3 Bendito serás tu na cidade e bendito serás no campo.
4 blessid schal be the fruyt of thi wombe, and the fruyt of thi lond, and the fruit of thi beestis; `blessid schulen be the flockis of thi grete beestis, and the fooldis of thi scheep;
4 Bendito o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, e o fruto dos teus animais, e as crias das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas.
5 blessid schulen be thi bernes, and `blessid schulen be `thi relifs;
5 Bendito o teu cesto e a tua amassadeira.
6 thou schalt be blessid entrynge, and goynge out.
6 Bendito serás ao entrares e bendito, ao saíres.
7 The Lord schal yyue thin enemyes fallynge in thi siyt, that schulen rise ayens thee; bi o weie thei schulen come ayens thee, and by seuene weies thei schulen fle fro thi face.
7 O Senhor fará que sejam derrotados na tua presença os inimigos que se levantarem contra ti; por um caminho, sairão contra ti, mas, por sete caminhos, fugirão da tua presença.
8 The Lord schal sende out blessyng on thi celeris, and on alle the werkis of thin hondis; and he schal blesse thee in the lond which thou hast take.
8 O Senhor determinará que a bênção esteja nos teus celeiros e em tudo o que colocares a mão; e te abençoará na terra que te dá o Senhor , teu Deus.
9 The Lord schal reise thee to hym silf in to an hooli puple, as he swoor to thee, if thou kepist the heestis of thi Lord God, and goist in his weies.
9 O Senhor te constituirá para si em povo santo, como te tem jurado, quando guardares os mandamentos do Senhor , teu Deus, e andares nos seus caminhos.
10 And alle the puples of londis schulen se, that the name of the Lord is inwardli clepid on thee, and thei schulen drede thee.
10 E todos os povos da terra verão que és chamado pelo nome do Senhor e terão medo de ti.
11 The Lord schal make thee to be plenteuouse in alle goodis, in fruyt of thi wombe, and in fruyt of thi beestis, in the fruyt of thi lond, which the Lord swoor to thi fadris, that he schulde yyue to thee.
11 O Senhor te dará abundância de bens no fruto do teu ventre, no fruto dos teus animais e no fruto do teu solo, na terra que o Senhor , sob juramento a teus pais, prometeu dar-te.
12 The Lord schal opene his beste tresour, heuene, that he yyue reyn to thi lond in his tyme; and he schal blesse alle the werkis of thin hondis; and thou schalt leene to many folkis, and of no man thou schalt take borewyng.
12 O Senhor te abrirá o seu bom tesouro, o céu, para dar chuva à tua terra no seu tempo e para abençoar toda obra das tuas mãos; emprestarás a muitas gentes, porém tu não tomarás emprestado.
13 The Lord God schal sette thee in to the heed, and not in to the tail, and euere thou schalt be aboue, and not bynethe; if netheles thou herist the comaundementis of thi Lord God, whiche Y comaunde to thee to day, and kepist,
13 O Senhor te porá por cabeça e não por cauda; e só estarás em cima e não debaixo, se obedeceres aos mandamentos do Senhor , teu Deus, que hoje te ordeno, para os guardar e cumprir.
14 and doist, and bowist not awey fro tho, nether to the riyt side nether to the lefte side, nether suest alien goddis, nethir worschipist hem.
14 Não te desviarás de todas as palavras que hoje te ordeno, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda, seguindo outros deuses, para os servires.
15 That if thou nylt here the vois of thi Lord God, that thou kepe and do alle hise heestis, and cerymonyes, whiche Y comaunde to thee to day, alle these cursyngis schulen come on thee, and schulen take thee.
15 Será, porém, que, se não deres ouvidos à voz do Senhor , teu Deus, não cuidando em cumprir todos os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos que, hoje, te ordeno, então, virão todas estas maldições sobre ti e te alcançarão:
16 Thou schalt be cursid in citee, cursid in feeld.
16 Maldito serás tu na cidade e maldito serás no campo.
17 Cursid `schal be thi berne, and cursid schulen be thi relifs.
17 Maldito o teu cesto e a tua amassadeira.
18 Cursid schal be the fruit of thi wombe, and the fruyt of thi lond; `cursid schulen be the drooues of thin oxun, and the flockis of thi scheep.
18 Maldito o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, e as crias das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas.
19 Thou schalt be cursid goynge in, and `thou schalt be cursid goynge out.
19 Maldito serás ao entrares e maldito, ao saíres.
20 The Lord schal sende on thee hungur, and thurst, and blamyng in to alle thi werkis whiche thou schalt do, til he al to-breke thee, and leese swiftli, for thi werste fyndyngis, in whiche thou hast forsake me.
20 O Senhor mandará sobre ti a maldição, a confusão e a ameaça em tudo quanto empreenderes, até que sejas destruído e repentinamente pereças, por causa da maldade das tuas obras, com que me abandonaste.
21 The Lord ioyne pestilence to thee, til he waaste thee fro the lond, to which thou schalt entre to welde.
21 O Senhor fará que a pestilência te pegue a ti, até que te consuma a terra a que passas para possuí-la.
22 The Lord smyte thee with nedynesse, feuyr, and coold, brennynge, and heete, and with corrupt eir, and rust; and pursue thee til thou perische.
22 O Senhor te ferirá com a tísica, e a febre, e a inflamação, e com o calor ardente, e a secura, e com o crestamento, e a ferrugem; e isto te perseguirá até que pereças.
23 Heuene which is aboue thee be brasun; and the erthe which thou tredist be yrun.
23 Os teus céus sobre a tua cabeça serão de bronze; e a terra debaixo de ti será de ferro.
24 The Lord yyue dust for reyn to thi lond, and aysche come doun fro heuene on thee, til thou be al to-brokun.
24 Por chuva da tua terra, o Senhor te dará pó e cinza; dos céus, descerá sobre ti, até que sejas destruído.
25 The Lord yyue thee fallynge bifor thin enemyes; bi o weie go thou ayens hem, and bi seuene weies fle thou, and be thou scaterid bi alle the rewmes of erthe;
25 O Senhor te fará cair diante dos teus inimigos; por um caminho, sairás contra eles, e, por sete caminhos, fugirás diante deles, e serás motivo de horror para todos os reinos da terra.
26 and thi deed bodi be in to mete to alle volatils of heuene, and to beestis of erthe, and noon be that dryue hem awai.
26 O teu cadáver servirá de pasto a todas as aves dos céus e aos animais da terra; e ninguém haverá que os espante.
27 The Lord smyte thee with the botche of Egipt, and `the Lord smyte the part of bodi wherbi `ordures ben voyded; also `the Lord smyte thee with scabbe, and yicchyng, so that thou mayst not be curid.
27 O Senhor te ferirá com as úlceras do Egito, com tumores, com sarna e com prurido de que não possas curar-te.
28 The Lord smyte thee with madnesse, and blyndnesse, and woodnesse of thouyt;
28 O Senhor te ferirá com loucura, com cegueira e com perturbação do espírito.
29 and grope thou in mydday, as a blynd man is wont to grope in derknessis; and dresse he not thi weies; in al tyme suffre thou fals chaleng, and be thou oppressid bi violence, nethir haue thou ony that schal delyuere thee.
29 Apalparás ao meio-dia, como o cego apalpa nas trevas, e não prosperarás nos teus caminhos; porém somente serás oprimido e roubado todos os teus dias; e ninguém haverá que te salve.
30 Take thou a wijf, and anothir man sleepe with hir; bilde thou an hows, and dwelle thou not ther ynne; plaunte thou a vyner, and gadere thou not grapis therof.
30 Desposar-te-ás com uma mulher, porém outro homem dormirá com ela; edificarás casa, porém não morarás nela; plantarás vinha, porém não a desfrutarás.
31 Thin oxe be offrid bifor thee, and ete thou not therof; thin asse be rauyschid in thi siyt, and be not yoldun to thee; thi scheep be youun to thin enemyes, and noon be that helpe thee.
31 O teu boi será morto aos teus olhos, porém dele não comerás; o teu jumento será roubado diante de ti e não voltará a ti; as tuas ovelhas serão dadas aos teus inimigos; e ninguém haverá que te salve.
32 Thi sones and thi douytris be youun to another puple, `while thin iyen seen, and failen at the siyt of hem al day; and no strengthe be in thin hond.
32 Teus filhos e tuas filhas serão dados a outro povo; os teus olhos o verão e desfalecerão de saudades todo o dia; porém a tua mão nada poderá fazer.
33 A puple whom thou knowist not ete the fruytis of thi lond, and alle thi trauels; and euere be thou suffrynge fals calengis, and be thou oppressid in alle daies,
33 O fruto da tua terra e todo o teu trabalho, comê-los-á um povo que nunca conheceste; e tu serás oprimido e quebrantado todos os dias;
34 and wondrynge at the ferdfulnesse of tho thingis whiche thin iyen schulen se.
34 e te enlouquecerás pelo que vires com os teus olhos.
35 The Lord smyte thee with the worste botche in the knees, and in the hyndere partes of the leg; and thou mow not be heelid fro the sole of the foot `til to the top.
35 O Senhor te ferirá com úlceras malignas nos joelhos e nas pernas, das quais não te possas curar, desde a planta do pé até ao alto da cabeça.
36 And the Lord schal lede thee, and thi kyng, whom thou schalt ordeyne on thee, in to a folc which thou knowist not, thou, and thi fadris; and thou schalt serue there to alien goddis, to a tre, and stoon.
36 O Senhor te levará e o teu rei que tiveres constituído sobre ti a uma gente que não conheceste, nem tu, nem teus pais; e ali servirás a outros deuses, feitos de madeira e de pedra.
37 And thou schalt be lost in to prouerbe, and fable to alle puplis, to whiche the Lord schal brynge thee yn.
37 Virás a ser pasmo, provérbio e motejo entre todos os povos a que o Senhor te levará.
38 Thou schalt caste myche seed in to the erthe, and thou schalt gadere litil; for locustis schulen deuoure alle thingis.
38 Lançarás muita semente ao campo; porém colherás pouco, porque o gafanhoto a consumirá.
39 Thou schalt plaunte, and schalt digge a vyner, and thou schalt not drynke wyn, nether thou schalt gadere therof ony thing; for it schal be wastid with wormes.
39 Plantarás e cultivarás muitas vinhas, porém do seu vinho não beberás, nem colherás as uvas, porque o verme as devorará.
40 Thou schalt haue olyue trees in alle thi termes, and thou schalt not be anoyntid with oile; for tho schulen falle doun, and schulen perische.
40 Em todos os teus limites terás oliveiras; porém não te ungirás com azeite, porque as tuas azeitonas cairão.
41 Thou schalt gendre sones and douytris, and thou schalt not vse hem; for thei schulen be led in to caitifte.
41 Gerarás filhos e filhas, porém não ficarão contigo, porque serão levados ao cativeiro.
42 Rust schal waaste alle thi trees and fruytis of thi lond.
42 Todo o teu arvoredo e o fruto da tua terra o gafanhoto os consumirá.
43 A comelyng, that dwellith with thee in the lond, schal stie on thee, and he schal be the hiyere; forsothe thou schalt go doun, and schalt be the lowere.
43 O estrangeiro que está no meio de ti se elevará mais e mais, e tu mais e mais descerás.
44 He schal leene to thee, and thou schalt not leene to hym; he schal be in to the heed, and thou schalt be in to the tail.
44 Ele te emprestará a ti, porém tu não lhe emprestarás a ele; ele será por cabeça, e tu serás por cauda.
45 And alle these cursyngis schulen come on thee, and schulen pursue, and schulen take thee, til thou perische; for thou herdist not the vois of thi Lord God, nether kepist hise comaundementis and cerymonyes, whiche he comaundide to thee.
45 Todas estas maldições virão sobre ti, e te perseguirão, e te alcançarão, até que sejas destruído, porquanto não ouviste a voz do Senhor , teu Deus, para guardares os mandamentos e os estatutos que te ordenou.
46 And signes, and grete wondris schulen be in thee, and in thi seed, til in to withouten ende;
46 Serão, no teu meio, por sinal e por maravilha, como também entre a tua descendência, para sempre.
47 for thou seruedist not thi Lord God in the ioye and gladnesse of herte, for the abundaunce of alle thingis.
47 Porquanto não serviste ao Senhor , teu Deus, com alegria e bondade de coração, não obstante a abundância de tudo.
48 Thou schalt serue thin enemye, whom God schal sende to thee in hungur, and thirst, and nakidnesse, and in pouert of alle thingis; and he schal putte an yrun yok on thi nol, til he al to-breke thee.
48 Assim, com fome, com sede, com nudez e com falta de tudo, servirás aos inimigos que o Senhor enviará contra ti; sobre o teu pescoço porá um jugo de ferro, até que te haja destruído.
49 The Lord schal brynge on thee a folk fro fer place, and fro the laste endis of erthe, in to the licnesse of an egle fleynge with bire, of which folc thou maist not vnderstonde the langage;
49 O Senhor levantará contra ti uma nação de longe, da extremidade da terra virá, como o voo impetuoso da águia, nação cuja língua não entenderás;
50 a folk moost greedi axere, that schal not yyue reuerence to an elde man, nethir haue mercy on a litil child.
50 nação feroz de rosto, que não respeitará ao velho, nem se apiedará do moço.
51 And schal deuoure the fruyt of thi beestis, and the fruytis of thi lond, til thou perischist, and schal not leeue to thee wheete, wyn, and oile, droues of oxun, and flockis of scheep,
51 Ela comerá o fruto dos teus animais e o fruto da tua terra, até que sejas destruído; e não te deixará cereal, mosto, nem azeite, nem as crias das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas, até que te haja consumido.
52 til he leese thee, and al to-breke in alle thi citees, and til thi sadde and hiye wallis be distried, in whiche thou haddist trust in al thi lond. Thou schalt be bisegid withynne thi yatis in al thi lond, which thi Lord God schal yyue to thee.
52 Sitiar-te-á em todas as tuas cidades, até que venham a cair, em toda a tua terra, os altos e fortes muros em que confiavas; e te sitiará em todas as tuas cidades, em toda a terra que o Senhor , teu Deus, te deu.
53 And thou schalt ete the fruyt of thi wombe, and the fleischis of thi sones, and of thi douytris, whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee, in the angwisch and distriyng, bi which thin enemye schal oppresse thee.
53 Comerás o fruto do teu ventre, a carne de teus filhos e de tuas filhas, que te der o Senhor , teu Deus, na angústia e no aperto com que os teus inimigos te apertarão.
54 A man delicat of lijf, and `ful letcherouse, schal haue enuye to his brother, and wijf that liggith in his bosum,
54 O mais mimoso dos homens e o mais delicado do teu meio será mesquinho para com seu irmão, e para com a mulher do seu amor, e para com os demais de seus filhos que ainda lhe restarem;
55 lest he yyue to hem of the fleischis of hise sones whiche he schal ete; for he hath noon other thing in biseging and pouert, bi which thin enemyes schulen waaste thee with ynne alle thi yatis.
55 de sorte que não dará a nenhum deles da carne de seus filhos, que ele comer; porquanto nada lhe ficou de resto na angústia e no aperto com que o teu inimigo te apertará em todas as tuas cidades.
56 A tendur womman and delicat, that myyte not go on the erthe, nether set a step of foot, for most softnesse and tendirnesse, schal haue enuye to hir hosebonde that liggith in hir bosum, on the fleischis of sone and douyter,
56 A mais mimosa das mulheres e a mais delicada do teu meio, que de mimo e delicadeza não tentaria pôr a planta do pé sobre a terra, será mesquinha para com o marido de seu amor, e para com seu filho, e para com sua filha;
57 and on the filthe of skynnes, wherynne the child is wlappid in the wombe, that gon out of the myddis of hir `scharis, ethir hipe bonys, and on fre children that ben borun in the same our. Thei schulen ete `tho children priueli, for the scarsete of alle thingis in bisegyng and distriyng, bi which thin enemy schal oppresse thee with ynne thi yatis.
57 mesquinha da placenta que lhe saiu dentre os pés e dos filhos que tiver, porque os comerá às escondidas pela falta de tudo, na angústia e no aperto com que o teu inimigo te apertará nas tuas cidades.
58 No but thou schalt kepe and do alle the wordis of this lawe, that ben writun in this volym, `ether book, and schalt drede his gloriouse name and ferdful, that is thi Lord God,
58 Se não tiveres cuidado de guardar todas as palavras desta lei, escritas neste livro, para temeres este nome glorioso e terrível, o Senhor , teu Deus,
59 the Lord schal encreese thi woundis, and the woundis of thi seed; grete woundis and contynuel, sikenessis worste and euerlestinge.
59 então, o Senhor fará terríveis as tuas pragas e as pragas de tua descendência, grandes e duradouras pragas, e enfermidades graves e duradouras;
60 And he schal turne in to thee alle the turmentyngis of Egipt, whiche thou dreddist, and tho schulen cleue to thee.
60 fará voltar contra ti todas as moléstias do Egito, que temeste; e se apegarão a ti.
61 Ferthermore the Lord schal brynge on thee also alle the sorewis and woundis, that ben not writun in the volym of this lawe, til he al to-breke thee.
61 Também o Senhor fará vir sobre ti toda enfermidade e toda praga que não estão escritas no livro desta Lei, até que sejas destruído.
62 And ye schulen dwelle fewe in noumbre, that weren bifore as the sterris of heuene for multitude, for thou herdist not the vois of thi Lord God.
62 Ficareis poucos em número, vós que éreis como as estrelas dos céus em multidão, porque não destes ouvidos à voz do Senhor , vosso Deus.
63 And as the Lord was glad bifore on you, and dide wel to you, and multipliede you; so he schal be glad, `and schal leese, and distrie you, that ye be takun awei fro the lond, to which thou schalt entre to welde.
63 Assim como o Senhor se alegrava em vós outros, em fazer-vos bem e multiplicar-vos, da mesma sorte o Senhor se alegrará em vos fazer perecer e vos destruir; sereis desarraigados da terra à qual passais para possuí-la.
64 The Lord schal leese thee in to alle puplis, fro the hiynesse of erthe `til to the termes therof; and thou schalt serue there to alien goddis, whiche thou knowist not, and thi fadris `knowen not, to trees and stoonys.
64 O Senhor vos espalhará entre todos os povos, de uma até à outra extremidade da terra. Servirás ali a outros deuses que não conheceste, nem tu, nem teus pais; servirás à madeira e à pedra.
65 Also thou schalt not reste in tho folkis, nether rest schal be to the step of thi foot. For the Lord schal yyue to thee there a ferdful herte, and iyen failynge, and lijf waastyd with morenyng.
65 Nem ainda entre estas nações descansarás, nem a planta de teu pé terá repouso, porquanto o Senhor ali te dará coração tremente, olhos mortiços e desmaio de alma.
66 And thi lijf schal be as hangynge bifore thee; thou schalt drede in nyyt and dai, and thou schal not bileue to thi lijf.
66 A tua vida estará suspensa como por um fio diante de ti; terás pavor de noite e de dia e não crerás na tua vida.
67 In the morewtid thou schalt seie, Who schal yyue the euentid to me? and in the euentid `thou schalt seie, Who schal yyue the morewtid to me? for the drede of thin herte, bi which thou schalt be maad aferd, and for tho thingis whiche thou schalt see with thin iyen.
67 Pela manhã dirás: Ah! Quem me dera ver a noite! E, à noitinha, dirás: Ah! Quem me dera ver a manhã! Isso pelo pavor que sentirás no coração e pelo espetáculo que terás diante dos olhos.
68 The Lord schal lede thee ayen bi schipis in to Egipt, by the weie of which he seide to thee, that thou schuldist no more se it. There thou schalt be seeld to thin enemyes, in to seruauntis and `hand maidis; and noon schal be that schal delyuere thee.
68 O Senhor te fará voltar ao Egito em navios, pelo caminho de que te disse: Nunca jamais o verás; sereis ali oferecidos para venda como escravos e escravas aos vossos inimigos, mas não haverá quem vos compre.
