1 A geldyng whanne hise stoonys ben brokun, ethir kit awey, and his yerde is kit awei, schal not entre in to the chirche of the Lord.
1 — Aquele a quem forem esmagados os testículos ou cortado o membro viril não entrará na assembleia do Senhor .
2 A child borun of hordom schal not entre in to the chirche of the Lord, `til to the tenthe generacioun.
2 — Nenhum bastardo entrará na assembleia do Senhor ; nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará nela.
3 Ammonytis and Moabitis, yhe aftir the tenthe generacioun, schulen not entre into the `chirche of the Lord with outen ende;
3 — Nenhum amonita ou moabita entrará na assembleia do Senhor ; nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará na assembleia do Senhor , eternamente.
4 for thei nolden come to you with breed and watir in the weie, whanne ye yeden out of Egipt; and for thei hireden ayens thee Balaam, the sone of Beor, fro Mesopotanye of Sirye, that he schulde curse thee;
4 Porque não foram ao encontro de vocês com pão e água, no caminho, quando vocês estavam saindo do Egito; e porque contrataram Balaão, filho de Beor, de Petor, da Mesopotâmia, para amaldiçoar vocês.
5 and thi Lord God nolde here Balaam, and God turnede `the cursyng of Balaam in to thi blessyng, for he louyde thee.
5 Porém o Senhor , o Deus de vocês, não quis ouvir Balaão; pelo contrário, mudou a maldição em bênção, porque o Senhor , seu Deus, amava vocês.
6 Thou schalt not make pees with hem, nethir thou schalt seke goodis to hem, in alle the daies of thi lijf in to with outen ende.
6 Não procurem nem paz nem bem para os amonitas e moabitas enquanto vocês viverem, para sempre.
7 Thou schalt not `haue abhomynacioun of a man of Ydumye, for he is thi brothir, nethir of a man of Egipt, for thou were a comelyng in the lond of hym.
7 — Não odeiem os edomitas, porque são irmãos de vocês; nem odeiem os egípcios, porque vocês viveram como estrangeiros na terra deles.
8 Thei that ben borun of hem, schulen entre in the thridde generacioun in to the `chirche of the Lord.
8 Os filhos que lhes nascerem na terceira geração, cada um deles poderá entrar na assembleia do Senhor .
9 Whanne thou schalt go out `in to batel ayens thin enemyes, thou schalt kepe thee fro al yuel thing.
9 — Quando o exército sair para lutar contra os inimigos de vocês, então vocês devem se guardar de toda coisa má.
10 If a man is among you, which is defoulid in `sleep of nyyt, he schal go out of `the castels;
10 — Se houver entre vocês alguém que, por motivo de polução noturna, não esteja puro, sairá do acampamento; não poderá permanecer nele.
11 and he schal not turne ayen bifore that he be waischun in watir at euentid, and aftir the goyng doun of the sunne he schal go ayen in to the castels.
11 Porém, ao cair da tarde, ele se lavará com água; e, depois do pôr do sol, poderá voltar ao acampamento.
12 Thou schalt haue a place without the castels, to which thou schalt go out to nedeful thingis of kynde;
12 — Também haverá um lugar fora do acampamento, para onde vocês devem ir e fazer as suas necessidades.
13 and thou schalt bere a litil stake in the girdil; and whanne thou hast sete, thou schalt digge `bi cumpas, and `thou schalt hile with erthe thingis `defied out,
13 Tenham entre as suas armas uma pá; e, quando alguém se abaixar, fora do acampamento, cavará um buraco com a pá e, virando-se, cobrirá as fezes com terra.
14 where thou art releuyd. For thi Lord God goeth in the myddis of castels, that he diliuere thee, and bitake thin enemyes to thee, that thi castels be hooli, and no thing of filthe appere in tho, lest he forsake thee.
14 Porque o Senhor , seu Deus, anda no meio do acampamento de vocês para livrá-los e para entregar os inimigos de vocês em suas mãos; portanto, o acampamento de vocês deve ser santo, para que ele não veja em vocês coisa indecente e se afaste de vocês.
15 Thou schalt not bitake a seruaunt to his lord, which seruaunt fleeth to thee;
15 — Não entreguem ao seu senhor o escravo que, tendo fugido dele, se refugiar entre vocês.
16 he schal dwelle with thee in the place that plesith hym, and he schal reste in oon of thi citees; and make thou not hym sori.
16 Poderá ficar morando com vocês, no lugar que escolher, em alguma das cidades de vocês que for do seu agrado; não o oprimam.
17 Noon hoore schal be of the douytris of Israel, nether a letchour of the sones of Israel.
17 — Das filhas de Israel não haverá quem se prostitua no serviço do templo, nem dos filhos de Israel haverá quem o faça.
18 Thou schalt not offre the hire of `an hoore hows, nether the prijs of a dogge, in the hows of thi Lord God, what euer thing it is that thou hast avowid; for euer eithir is abhomynacioun bifor thi Lord God.
18 Não permitam que o salário pago a prostituta ou a prostituto, por qualquer voto, seja trazido à Casa do Senhor , seu Deus; porque uma e outra coisa são igualmente abomináveis ao Senhor , seu Deus.
19 Thou schalt not leene to thi brothir to vsure money, neither fruytis,
19 — De um compatriota vocês não devem cobrar juros, ao emprestarem dinheiro, comida ou qualquer coisa que se costuma emprestar com juros.
20 nethir ony othir thing, but to an alien. Forsothe thou schalt leene to thi brothir without vsure that that he nedith, that thi Lord God blesse thee in al thi werk, in the lond to which thou schalt entre to welde.
20 Aos estrangeiros vocês podem emprestar com juros, porém aos seus compatriotas vocês não devem emprestar com juros, para que o Senhor , seu Deus, os abençoe em todos os seus empreendimentos na terra que vocês vão possuir.
21 Whanne thou makist auow to thi Lord God, thou schalt not tarie to yelde, for thi Lord God schal `requyre, ether axe, that; and if thou tariest, it schal be arretid to thee in to synne.
21 — Se fizerem um voto ao Senhor , seu Deus, não devem demorar a cumpri-lo, porque o Senhor , seu Deus, certamente o exigirá de vocês, e vocês serão culpados de pecado.
22 If thou `nylt bihete, thou schalt be with out synne.
22 Mas, se vocês se abstiverem de fazer um voto, não serão culpados de pecado.
23 Forsothe thou schalt kepe, and `do that that yede out onys of thi lippis, as thou bihiytist to thi Lord God, and hast spoke with thin owne wille and thi mouth.
23 O que proferiram os seus lábios, isso vocês têm de guardar e cumprir, porque livremente fizeram um voto ao Senhor , seu Deus, com as palavras que disseram.
24 If thou entrist in to the vynere of thi neiybore, ete thou grapis, as myche as plesith thee; but bere thou not out with thee.
24 — Quando entrarem na vinha do seu próximo, podem comer uvas à vontade, até ficarem fartos, porém não devem levá-las embora num cesto.
25 If thou entrist in to `the corn of thi freend, thou schalt breke `eeris of corn, and frote togidere with `the hond; but thou schalt not repe with a sikil.
25 Quando entrarem na plantação do seu próximo, podem arrancar as espigas com as mãos; porém não devem colher nada com a foice.
