1 I witnesse bifore God and Crist Jhesu, that schal deme the quike and the deed, and bi the comyng of hym, and the kyngdom of hym,
1 Conjuro-te, pois, diante de Deus e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, que há de julgar os vivos e os mortos, na sua aparição e no seu reino;
2 preche the word, be thou bisi couenabli with outen rest, repreue thou, biseche thou, blame thou in al pacience and doctryn.
2 que pregues a palavra, instes a tempo e fora de tempo, reprove, repreendas, exortes com toda longanimidade e doutrina.
3 For tyme schal be, whanne men schulen not suffre hoolsum teching, but at her desiris thei schulen gadere `togidere to hem silf maistris yitchinge to the eeris.
3 Porque virá tempo em que não suportarão a sã doutrina; mas, conforme as suas próprias concupiscências, amontoarão para si mestres, tendo comichão nos ouvidos;
4 And treuli thei schulen turne awei the heryng fro treuthe, but to fablis thei schulen turne.
4 e desviarão os seus ouvidos da verdade, voltando às fábulas.
5 But wake thou, in alle thingis traueile thou, do the werk of an euangelist, fulfille thi seruyce, be thou sobre.
5 Tu, porém, vigiai em todas as coisas; sofre as aflições, faze a obra de um evangelista, faz plena demonstração do teu ministério.
6 For Y am sacrifisid now, and the tyme of my departyng is nyy.
6 Porque já estou pronto para ser oferecido, e o tempo da minha partida está próximo.
7 Y haue stryuun a good strijf, Y haue endid the cours, Y haue kept the feith.
7 Combati o bom combate, terminei a minha carreira, guardei a fé.
8 In `the tothir tyme a coroun of riytwisnesse is kept to me, which the Lord, a iust domesman, schal yelde to me in that dai; and not oneli to me, but also to these that louen his comyng.
8 Desde agora, a coroa de justiça me está guardada, a qual o Senhor, o justo juiz, me dará naquele dia; e não somente a mim, mas também a todos os que amam a sua aparição.
9 Hyye thou to come to me soone. For Demas, louynge this world, hath forsakun me, and wente to Tessalonyk,
9 Procura vir ter comigo depressa.
10 Crescens in to Galathi, Tite in to Dalmacie;
10 Porque Demas me desamparou, amando este mundo presente, e partiu para Tessalônica; Crescente, para a Galácia, Tito, para a Dalmácia.
11 Luk aloone is with me. Take thou Mark, and brynge with thee; for he is profitable to me in to seruyce.
11 Só Lucas está comigo. Toma Marcos e traze-o contigo, porque ele me é proveitoso no ministério.
12 Forsothe Y sente Titicus to Effesi.
12 E Tíquico enviei a Éfeso.
13 The cloth which Y lefte at Troade at Carpe, whanne thou comest, bringe with thee, and the bookis, but moost parchemyne.
13 A capa que deixei em Trôade, com Carpo, quando vieres, traze contigo; e também os livros, especialmente os pergaminhos.
14 Alisaundre, the tresorer, schewide to me myche yuele; `the Lord schal yelde to hym aftir his werkis.
14 Alexandre, o caldeireiro, me fez muito mal; o Senhor lhe recompense segundo as suas obras.
15 Whom also thou eschewe; for he ayenstood ful greetli oure wordis.
15 Tu, guarda-te também dele, porque ele resistiu muito às nossas palavras.
16 In my firste defence no man helpide me, but alle forsoken me; be it not arettid to hem.
16 Na minha primeira defesa, ninguém estava comigo; antes, todos me desampararam. Oro a Deus que isto lhes não seja imputado.
17 But the Lord helpide me, and coumfortide me, that the preching be fillid bi me, and that alle folkis here, that Y am delyueride fro the mouth of the lioun.
17 Mas o Senhor estava comigo e fortaleceu-me, para que, através de mim, a pregação fosse totalmente conhecida e todos os gentios a ouvissem; e fui salvo da boca do leão.
18 And the Lord delyueride me fro al yuel werk, and schal make me saaf in to his heuenly kingdom, to whom be glorie in to worldis of worldis.
18 E o Senhor me livrará de toda má obra e me preservará para o seu reino celestial; a quem seja glória para todo o sempre. Amém.
19 Amen. Grete wel Prisca, and Aquila, and the hous of Oneseforus.
19 Saúda a Prisca, e a Áquila, e à casa de Onesíforo.
20 Erastus lefte at Corynthi, and Y lefte Trofymus sijk at Mylete.
20 Erasto ficou em Corinto, e deixei Trófimo doente em Mileto.
21 Hiye thou to come bifore wyntir. Eubolus, and Prudent, and Lynus, and Claudia, and alle britheren, greten thee wel.
21 Procura vir antes do inverno. Saúdam-te Êubulo, Prudente, Lino, Cláudia, e todos os irmãos.
22 Oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with thi spirit. The grace of God be with you. Amen.
22 O Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com o teu espírito. A graça seja convosco. Amém.
