1 And thei telden to the kyng that, that sche seide; `which kyng sente, and alle the elde men of Juda, and of Jerusalem, weren gaderid to hym.
1 E o rei enviou, e se reuniram a ele todos os anciãos de Judá e de Jerusalém.
2 And the kyng stiede in to the temple of the Lord, and alle the men of Juda, and alle men that dwelliden in Jerusalem with hym, the preestis, and the prophetis, and al the puple, fro litil `til to greet; and he redde, while alle men herden, alle the wordis of the book of boond of pees of the Lord, which book was foundun in the hows of the Lord.
2 E o rei subiu à casa do SENHOR, e todos os homens de Judá, e com ele todos os habitantes de Jerusalém, e os sacerdotes, e os profetas, e todo o povo, tanto os pequenos como os grandes; e ele leu aos seus ouvidos todas as palavras do livro do pacto que fora achado na casa do SENHOR.
3 And the kyng stood on the grees; and he smoot boond of pees bifor the Lord, that thei schulden go aftir the Lord, and kepe hise comaundementis and witnessyngis and cerymonyes in al the herte and in al the soule, that thei schulden reise the wordis of this boond of pees, that weren writun in that book; and the puple assentide to the couenaunt.
3 E o rei se pôs de pé junto a um pilar, e fez um pacto diante do SENHOR, para andarem segundo o SENHOR, e para guardarem os seus mandamentos e os seus testemunhos e os seus estatutos de todo seu coração e de toda a sua alma, para cumprirem as palavras deste pacto que estavam escritas neste livro. E todo o povo apoiou este pacto.
4 And the kyng comaundide to Helchie, the bischop, and to the preestis of the secounde ordre, and to the porteris, that thei schulden caste out of the temple alle the vesselis, that weren maad to Baal, and in the wode, and to al the knyythod of heuene; and he brente tho vessels with out Jerusalem, in the euene valey of Cedron, and he bar the poudir of tho `vessels in to Bethel.
4 E o rei ordenou a Hilquias, o sumo sacerdote, e aos sacerdotes da segunda ordem, e aos guardadores da porta, para retirarem do templo do SENHOR todos os vasos que foram feitos para Baal, e para o bosque, e para todo o exército do céu; e ele os queimou na parte externa de Jerusalém, nos campos de Cedrom, e carregou as suas cinzas até Betel.
5 And he dide awei false dyuynours `that dyuynyden in the entrailis of beestis sacrified to idols, whiche the kingis of Juda hadden sett to make sacrifice in hiy thingis bi the citees of Juda, and in the cumpas of Jerusalem; and he dide awey hem that brenten encense to Baal, and to the sunne, and to the moone, and to twelue signes, and to al the knyythod of heuene.
5 E ele pôs abaixo os sacerdotes idólatras, aos quais os reis de Judá haviam ordenado para queimar incenso nos lugares altos, nas cidades de Judá, e nos lugares ao redor de Jerusalém; também aqueles que queimavam incenso a Baal, ao sol, e à lua, e aos planetas, e a todo o exército do céu.
6 And he made the wode to be borun out of the hows of the Lord without Jerusalem in the euene valey of Cedron, and he brente it there; and he droof it in to poudir, and castide it forth on the sepulcris of the comyn puple.
6 E ele retirou a árvore sagrada da casa do SENHOR, para fora de Jerusalém, até o ribeiro de Cedrom, e a queimou junto ao ribeiro de Cedrom, e a triturou até virar pó, e lançou o seu pó sobre os túmulos dos filhos do povo.
7 Also he distriede the litle housis of `men turnyd into wommens condiciouns, whiche housis weren in the hows of the Lord; for whiche the wymmen `maden as litil howsis of the wode.
7 E ele demoliu as casas dos sodomitas, que ficavam junto à casa do SENHOR, onde as mulheres teciam pingentes para a árvore sagrada.
8 And he gaderide alle the preestis fro the citees of Juda, and he defoulide the hiye thingis, where the preestis maden sacrifice, fro Gabaa `til to Bersabee; and he distriede the auters of yatis in the entryng of the dore of Josie, prince of a citee, which dore was at the lift half of the yate of the cytee.
8 E ele retirou todos os sacerdotes das cidades de Judá, e profanou os lugares altos, onde os sacerdotes haviam queimado incenso, desde Geba até Berseba, e demoliu os lugares altos dos portões que estavam à entrada do portão de Josué, o governador da cidade, os quais estavam à esquerda, junto ao portão da cidade.
9 Netheles the preestis of hiye thingis stieden not to the auter of the Lord in Jerusalem, but oneli thei eten therf looues in the myddis of her britheren.
9 Todavia os sacerdotes dos lugares altos não subiram ao altar do SENHOR em Jerusalém, mas comeram do pão ázimo no meio dos seus irmãos.
10 Also he defoulide Tophet, which is in the euene valey of the sone of Ennon, that no man schulde halewe his sone ether his douytir bi fier to Moloch.
10 E ele profanou Tofete, que está no vale dos filhos de Hinom, para que nenhum homem pudesse fazer o seu filho ou a sua filha passar pelo meio do fogo para Moloque.
11 Also he dide awei horsis, whiche the kyngis of Juda hadden youe to the sunne, in the entryng of the temple of the Lord, bisidis the chaumbir of Nathanmalech, geldyng, that was in Pharurym; forsothe he brente bi fier the charis of the sunne.
11 E ele removeu os cavalos que os reis de Judá tinham dado ao sol, à entrada da casa do SENHOR, pela câmara de Natã-Meleque, o camareiro, a qual estava nos arredores, e queimou as carruagens do sol com fogo.
12 Also the kyng distriede the auteris, that weren on the roouys of the soler of Achaz, whiche auteris the kyngis of Juda hadden maad; and the kyng distriede the auteris, whiche Manasses hadde maad in the twei grete placis of the temple of the Lord; and he ran fro thennus, and scateride the askis of tho in to the strond of Cedron.
12 E os altares que estavam no topo da câmara superior de Acaz, os quais os reis de Judá tinham feito, e os altares que Manassés fizera nos dois pátios da casa do SENHOR, o rei pôs abaixo, e os demoliu dali, e lançou o seu pó no ribeiro de Cedrom.
13 Also the kyng defoulide the hiye thingis, that weren in Jerusalem at the riyt part of the hil of offencioun, whiche Salomon, kyng of Israel, hadde bildid to Astroth, the ydol of Sidoneis, and to Chamos, the offencioun of Moab, and to Melchon, abhominacioun of the sones of Amon;
13 E os lugares altos que estavam diante de Jerusalém, os quais estavam à direita do monte da corrupção, o qual Salomão, o rei de Israel, havia edificado para Astarote, a abominação dos sidônios, e para Quemós, a abominação dos moabitas, para Milcom, a abominação dos filhos de Amom, o rei profanou.
14 and he al to-brak ymagis, and kittide doun wodis, and fillide the places of tho with the boonys of deed men.
14 E ele quebrou em pedaços as imagens, e cortou os bosques, e encheu os seus lugares com os ossos de homens.
15 Ferthermore also he distriede the auter that was in Bethel, and `he distriede the hiye thing, which Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, hadde maad, that made Israel to do synne; and he distriede that hiy autir, and brente it, and al to brak it in to poudir, and kittide doun also the wode.
15 Além disso, o altar que estava em Betel, e o lugar alto que Jeroboão, o filho de Nebate, que fez Israel pecar, até aquele altar e o lugar alto ele os demoliu, e queimou o lugar alto, e o triturou até virar pó, e queimou o bosque.
16 And Josias turnyde, and siy there sepulcris that weren in the hil; and he sente, and took the boonys fro the sepulcris, and brente tho on the auter, and defoulide it bi the word of the Lord, which word the man of God spak, that biforseide these wordis.
16 E, ao se virar, Josias espionou os sepulcros que estavam ali no monte, e mandou tirar os ossos dos sepulcros, e os queimou sobre o altar, e o contaminou, segundo a palavra do SENHOR que o homem de Deus proclamou, aquele que predisse estas palavras.
17 And the kyng seide, What is this biriel, which Y se? And the citeseyns of that citee answeriden to hym, It is the sepulcre of the man of God, that cam fro Juda, and biforseide these wordis, whiche thou hast doon on the auter of Bethel.
17 Então, ele disse: Que monumento é aquele que vejo? E os homens da cidade lhe disseram: É o sepulcro do homem de Deus, que veio de Judá, e proclamou estas coisas que tu tens feito contra o altar de Betel.
18 And the kyng seide, Suffre ye hym; no man moue hise boonys. And hise boonys dwelliden vntouchid with the boones of the prophete, that cam fro Samarie.
18 E ele disse: Deixai-o em paz; que nenhum homem mova os seus ossos. Assim, eles deixaram os seus ossos em paz, com os ossos do profeta que saiu de Samaria.
19 Ferthermore also Josias dide awei alle the templis of hiye thingis, that weren in the citees of Samarie, whiche the kyngis of Israel hadden maad to terre the Lord to ire; and he dide to tho templis bi alle thingis whiche he hadde do in Bethel.
19 E também todas as casas dos lugares altos que estavam nas cidades de Samaria, as quais os reis de Israel haviam feito para provocar o SENHOR à ira, Josias removeu, e fez a eles segundo todos os atos que ele havia feito em Betel.
20 And he killide alle the preestis of hiye thingis, that weren there on the auteris, and he brente mennus boonus on tho auteris; and he turnede ayen to Jerusalem;
20 E matou todos os sacerdotes dos lugares altos que estavam ali sobre os altares, e queimou ossos de homens sobre eles, e retornou a Jerusalém.
21 and comaundide to al the puple, and seide, Make ye pask to `youre Lord God, vp that, that is writun in the book of this boond of pees.
21 E o rei ordenou a todo o povo, dizendo: Guardai a páscoa diante do SENHOR vosso Deus, como está escrito no livro deste pacto.
22 Forsothe sich pask was not maad, fro the daies of iugis that demyden Israel, and of alle daies of the kyngis of Israel and of Juda,
22 Certamente, ali não era celebrada uma páscoa assim desde os dias dos juízes que julgavam Israel, nem em todos os dias dos reis de Israel, tampouco dos reis de Judá;
23 as this pask was maad to the Lord in Jerusalem in the eiytenthe yeer of kyng Josias.
23 senão, no décimo oitavo ano do rei Josias, no qual esta páscoa foi celebrada ao SENHOR, em Jerusalém.
24 But also Josias dide awei men hauynge fendis spekinge in her wombis, and false diuinouris in auteris, and `he dide awei the figuris of idols, and alle vnclennessis, and abhomynaciouns, that weren in the lond of Juda and in Jerusalem, that he schulde do the wordis of the lawe, that weren writun in the book, `which book Elchie, the preest, foond in the temple of the Lord.
24 Além disso, os que lidam com espíritos familiares, e os feiticeiros, e as imagens, e os ídolos, e todas as abominações que foram espionadas na terra de Judá e em Jerusalém, Josias lançou fora, para que pudesse cumprir as palavras da lei, as quais estavam escritas no livro que Hilquias, o sacerdote, encontrou na casa do SENHOR.
25 No kyng bifor him was lijk hym, `that turnede ayen to the Lord in al his herte, and in al his soule, and in al his vertu, bi al the lawe of Moises; nether aftir hym roos ony lijk hym.
25 E antes dele não houve rei como ele, que se voltou ao SENHOR com todo o seu coração, e com toda a sua alma, e com todo o seu poder, segundo toda a lei de Moisés; nem depois dele se levantou ali alguém como ele.
26 Netheles the Lord was not turned awei fro the ire of his greet veniaunce, bi which his strong veniaunce was wrooth ayens Juda, for the terryngis to ire by whiche Manasses hadde terrid hym to ire.
26 Não obstante, o SENHOR não se voltou do ardor da sua grande ira com a qual foi acesa contra Judá, por causa de todas as provocações com as quais Manassés ao mesmo tempo lhe havia provocado.
27 Therfor the Lord seide, Y schal do awei also Juda fro my face, as Y dide awei Israel; and Y schal caste awei this citee, which Y chees, Jerusalem, and the hows `of which Y seide, My name schal be there.
27 E o SENHOR disse: Também quero remover Judá da minha vista, assim como removi Israel, e lançarei fora esta cidade, Jerusalém, a qual tenho escolhido, e a casa da qual eu disse: O meu nome estará ali.
28 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Josias, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
28 Ora, o restante dos atos de Josias, e tudo o que ele fez, não estão escritos no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Judá?
29 In the daies of hym Farao Nechao, kyng of Egipt, stiede ayens the kyng of Assiriens, to the flood Eufrates; and Josias, kyng of Juda, yede in to metyng of hym, and Josias was slayn in Magedo, whanne he hadde seyn hym.
29 Nos seus dias Faraó-Neco, rei do Egito, partiu para junto do rei da Assíria, até o rio Eufrates; e o rei Josias foi contra ele; e ele o matou em Megido, quando o avistou.
30 And `hise seruauntis baren hym deed fro Magedo, and brouyte him in to Jerusalem, and birieden hym in his sepulcre; and the puple of the lond took Joachaz, sone of Josias, and anoyntiden hym, and maden hym kyng for his fadir.
30 E os seus servos o carregaram morto em uma carruagem, desde Megido, e o trouxeram até Jerusalém, e o sepultaram no seu próprio sepulcro. E o povo da terra tomou Joacaz, o filho de Josias, e o ungiu, e fê-lo rei, no lugar do seu pai.
31 Joachaz was of thre and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede thre monethis in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Amychal, douyter of Jeremye of Lobna.
31 Joacaz tinha vinte e três anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou três meses em Jerusalém. E o nome da sua mãe era Hamutal, a filha de Jeremias, de Libna.
32 And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis which hise fadris hadden do.
32 E ele fez aquilo que era mau à vista do SENHOR, segundo tudo o que os seus pais haviam feito.
33 And Farao Nechao boond hym in Reblatha, which is in the lond of Emath, that he schulde not regne in Jerusalem; and he settide `peyne, ether raunsum, to the lond, in an hundrid talentis of siluer, and in a talent of gold.
33 E Faraó-Neco o pôs em grilhões em Ribla, na terra de Hamate, para que ele não pudesse reinar em Jerusalém; e pôs a terra sob tributo de uma centena de talentos de prata, e um talento de ouro.
34 And Farao Nechao made kyng Eliachim, sone of Josias, for Josias, his fadir; and he turnede the name of hym Joachym; forsothe Farao took Joachaz, and ledde hym in to Egipt.
34 E Faraó-Neco fez de Eliaquim, o filho de Josias, rei no lugar de Josias, o seu pai, e modificou o seu nome para Jeoaquim, e retirou Joacaz; e ele veio ao Egito, e ali morreu.
35 Sotheli Joachym yaf siluer and gold to Farao, whanne he hadde comaundid to the lond bi alle yeeris, that it schulde be brouyt, bi the comaundement of Farao; and he reiside of ech man bi hise myytis bothe siluer and gold, of the puple of the lond, that he schulde yyue to Pharao Nechao.
35 E Jeoaquim deu a prata e o ouro a Faraó; mas ele tributou a terra para dar o dinheiro, de acordo com o mandamento de Faraó; ele exigia a prata e o ouro do povo da terra, de cada um segundo a sua tributação, para dá-la a Faraó-Neco.
36 Joachym was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede eleuene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Zebida, douyter of Phadaia of Ruma.
36 Jeoaquim tinha vinte e cinco anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém. E o nome da sua mãe era Zebida, a filha de Pedaías, de Ruma.
37 And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis which hise fadris hadden do.
37 E ele fez aquilo que era mau à vista do SENHOR, segundo tudo o que os seus pais haviam feito.
