1 Manasses was of twelue yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde fyue and fifti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Asiba.
1 Manassés tinha doze anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou cinqüenta e cinco anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Hefzibá.
2 And he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, bi the idols of hethene men, whiche hethene men the Lord dide awei fro the face of the sones of Israel.
2 Ele fez o que o Senhor reprova, imitando as práticas detestáveis das nações que o Senhor havia expulsado de diante dos israelitas.
3 And he was turned, and bildide hiye thingis, whiche Ezechie, his fadir, distriede; and he reiside auteris of Baal, and he made woodis, as Achab kyng of Israel hadde do; and he worschipide `with out forth al the knyythod of heuene, and worschipide it in herte.
3 Reconstruiu os altares idólatras que seu pai Ezequias havia demolido; também ergueu altares para Baal e fez um poste sagrado, como fizera Acabe, rei de Israel. Inclinou-se diante de todos os exércitos celestes e lhes prestou culto.
4 And he bildide auteris in the hows of the Lord, of which the Lord seide, Y schal sette my name in Jerusalem.
4 Construiu altares no templo do Senhor, do qual este tinha dito: "Em Jerusalém porei meu nome".
5 And he bildide auteris to al the knyythod of heuene in the twei large places of the temple of the Lord;
5 Nos dois pátios do templo do Senhor ele construiu altares para todos os exércitos celestes.
6 and he `ledde ouer his sone thorouy the fier; and he vside false dyuynyngis in auteris, on whiche sacrifice was maad to feendis, and he kepte false dyuynyngis bi chiteryng of bryddis; and he made men to haue yuele spiritis spekynge in the wombe, and he multipliede false dyuynours in entraylis of beestis sacrified to feendis, that he schulde do yuel bifor the Lord, and terre hym to ire.
6 Chegou a queimar o próprio filho em sacrifício, praticou feitiçaria e adivinhação e consultou médiuns e espíritas. Fez o que o Senhor reprova, provocando-o à ira.
7 And he settide an ydol of wode, which he hadde maad, in the temple of the Lord, `of which temple the Lord spak to Dauid, and to Salomon, his sone, Y schal sette my name withouten ende in this temple, and in Jerusalem which Y chees of alle the lynagis of Israel.
7 Ele tomou o poste sagrado que havia feito e o pôs no templo, do qual o Senhor tinha dito a Davi e a seu filho Salomão: "Neste templo e em Jerusalém, que escolhi dentre todas as tribos de Israel, porei meu nome para sempre.
8 And Y schal nomore make the foot of Israel to be moued fro the lond which Y yaf to the fadris of hem; so netheles if thei kepen in werk alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to hem, and al the lawe whiche Moises, my seruaunt, comaundide to hem.
8 Não farei os pés dos israelitas andarem errantes novamente, longe da terra que dei aos seus antepassados, se tão-somente tiverem o cuidado de fazer tudo o que lhes ordenei e obedecer à toda a Lei que meu servo Moisés lhes deu".
9 Sotheli thei herden not, but weren disseyued of Manasses, that thei diden yuel ouer hethene men, whiche the Lord al to-brak fro the face of the sones of Israel.
9 Mas o povo não quis ouvir. Manassés os desviou, a ponto de fazerem pior do que as nações que o Senhor havia destruído diante dos israelitas.
10 And the Lord spak in the hond of his seruauntis prophetis, and seide,
10 E o Senhor disse por meio dos seus servos, os profetas:
11 For Manasses, kyng of Juda, dide these worste abhomynaciouns ouer alle thingis which Ammorreis diden bifor hym, and maden also the puple of Juda to do synne in hise vnclennessis;
11 "Manassés, rei de Judá, cometeu esses atos repugnantes. Agiu pior do que os amorreus que o antecederam e também levou Judá a pecar com os ídolos que fizera.
12 therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal brynge in yuelis on Jerusalem and Juda, that who euer herith, bothe hise eeris tyngle;
12 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel: Causarei uma tal desgraça em Jerusalém e em Judá que os ouvidos de quem ouvir a respeito ficarão zumbindo.
13 and Y schal holde forth on Jerusalem the corde of Samarie, and the birthun of the hows of Achab, and Y schal do awei Jerusalem, as tablis ben wont to be doon awei; and Y schal do awey and turne it, and Y schal lede ful ofte the poyntel on the face therof.
13 Estenderei sobre Jerusalém o fio de medir utilizado contra Samaria e o fio de prumo usado contra a família de Acabe. Limparei Jerusalém como se lava um prato, lavando-o e virando-o de cabeça para baixo.
14 Forsothe Y schal leeue relikis of myn eritage, and Y schal bitake hem in to the hond of enemyes therof; and thei schulen be in distriynge, and in raueyn to alle her aduersaries;
14 Abandonarei o remanescente da minha herança e o entregarei nas mãos de seus inimigos. Serão despojados e saqueados por todos os seus adversários,
15 for thei diden yuel bifor me, and thei continueden terrynge me to ire, fro the dai in which her fadris yeden out of the lond of Egipt `til to this day.
15 pois fizeram o que eu reprovo e me provocaram à ira, desde o dia em que seus antepassados saíram do Egito até hoje".
16 Ferthermore also Manasses schedde ful myche ynnocent blood, til he fillide Jerusalem `til to the mouth, with outen hise synnes bi whiche he made Juda to do synne, to do yuel bifor the Lord.
16 Manassés também derramou tanto sangue inocente que encheu Jerusalém de um lado a outro; além disso levou Judá a cometer pecado, a fim de que fizessem o que o Senhor reprova.
17 Forsothe the residue of the wordis of Manasses, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and his synne whiche he synnede, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
17 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Manassés e todas as suas realizações, inclusive o pecado que cometeu, estão escritos no livro dos registros históricos dos reis de Judá.
18 And Manasses slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in the gardyn of his hows, in the gardyn of Azam; and Amon, his sone, regnyde for hym.
18 Manassés descansou com seus antepassados e foi sepultado no jardim do seu palácio, o jardim de Uzá. E seu filho Amom foi o seu sucessor.
19 He was of two and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; and he regnede twei yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Mesalamech, the douyter of Arus of Gethela.
19 Amom tinha vinte e dois anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou dois anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Mesulemete, filha de Haruz; ela era de Jotbá.
20 And he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, as Manasses, his fader, hadde do.
20 Ele fez o que o Senhor reprova, como fizera Manassés, seu pai.
21 And he yede in al the weie, bi which his fader hadde go, and he seruide to vnclennessis, to whiche his fadir hadde seruyd, and he worschipide tho; and he forsook the Lord God of hise fadris,
21 Imitou o seu pai em tudo; prestou culto aos ídolos aos quais seu pai havia cultuado e inclinou-se diante deles.
22 and he yede not in the weye of the Lord.
22 Abandonou o Senhor, o Deus de seus antepassados e não andou no caminho do Senhor.
23 And hise seruauntis settiden tresouns to hym, and killiden the kyng in hise hows.
23 Os oficiais de Amom conspiraram contra ele e o assassinaram em seu palácio.
24 Sothely the puple of the Lord smoot alle men, that hadden conspirid ayens kyng Amon, and thei ordeyneden to hem a kyng, Josias, `his sone, for hym.
24 Mas o povo matou todos os que haviam conspirado contra o rei Amom, e a seu filho Josias proclamou rei em seu lugar.
25 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amon, whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
25 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Amom e as suas realizações, estão escritos no livro dos registros históricos dos reis de Judá.
26 And he slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in his sepulcre in the gardyn of Azam; and Josias, his sone, regnede for him.
26 Ele foi sepultado em seu túmulo no jardim de Uzá. Seu filho Josias foi o seu sucessor.
