1 And whanne kyng Ezechie hadde herd these thingis, he to-rente his clothis, and was hilid with a sak; and he entride in to the hous of the Lord.
1 E sucedeu, quando o rei Ezequias ouviu isto, que ele rasgou as suas vestes, e se cobriu com pano de saco, e entrou na casa do SENHOR.
2 And he sente Eliachym, souereyn of the hous, and Sobna, scryueyn, and elde men of the preestis, hilid with sackis, to Ysaie, the prophete, sone of Amos.
2 E ele enviou Eliaquim, o qual estava a cargo da casa, e Sebna, o escriba, e os anciãos dos sacerdotes, cobertos com pano de saco, a Isaías, o profeta, filho de Amoz.
3 Whiche seiden, Ezechie seith these thingis, This dai is a dai of tribulacioun, and of blamyng, and of blasfemye; sones camen `til to the childberyng, and the `traueler of childe hath not strengthis.
3 E eles lhe disseram: Assim diz Ezequias: Este dia é um dia de perturbação, e de repreensão, e blasfêmia; porque os filhos chegarão ao nascimento, e não há força para trazê-los à luz.
4 If perauenture thi Lord God here alle the wordis of Rabsaces, whom the kyng of Assiryens, his lord sente, that he schulde dispise the Lord lyuynge, and repreue bi wordis, whiche thi Lord God herde; and make thou preier for these relikis, that ben foundun.
4 Pode ser que o SENHOR teu Deus ouça todas as palavras de Rabsaqué, a quem o rei da Assíria, o seu senhor, tem enviado para repreender o Deus vivente; e reprove as palavras que o SENHOR teu Deus tem ouvido; pelo que ergue a tua oração pelo remanescente que subsiste.
5 Therfor the seruauntis of kyng Ezechie camen to Isaie;
5 Assim, os servos do rei Ezequias vieram até Isaías.
6 and Isaie seide to hem, Seie ye these thingis to youre lord, The Lord seith these thingis, Nyle thou drede of the face of wordis whiche thou herdist, bi whiche the children of the kyng of Assiriens blasfemeden me.
6 E Isaías disse-lhes: Assim direis vós ao vosso senhor: Assim diz o SENHOR: Não temais as palavras que tens ouvido, com as quais os servos do rei da Assíria têm me blasfemado.
7 Lo! Y schal sende to hym a spirit, and he schal here a messanger, and he schal turne ayen in to his lond; and Y schal caste hym doun bi swerd in his owne lond.
7 Eis que enviarei uma rajada de vento sobre ele, e ele ouvirá um rumor, e retornará para a sua própria terra; e farei com que ele caia pela espada na sua própria terra.
8 Therfor Rabsaces turnede ayen, and foond the kyng of Assiriens fiytynge ayens Lobna; for he hadde herd, that the kyng hadde go awei fro Lachis.
8 Assim, Rabsaqué retornou e achou o rei da Assíria guerreando contra Libna; porque tinha ouvido que ele havia partido de Laquis.
9 And whanne he hadde herd of Theracha, kyng of Ethiope, `men seyynge, Lo! he yede out, that he fiyte ayens thee; that he schulde go ayens `that kyng, he sente messangeris to Ezechie,
9 E, quando ele ouviu dizer de Tiraca, rei de Cuxe: Eis que ele saiu para lutar contra ti; ele enviou novamente mensageiros até Ezequias, dizendo:
10 and seide, Seie ye these thingis to Ezechie, kyng of Juda, Thi Lord God, in whom thou hast trist, disseyue not thee, nether seie thou, Jerusalem schal not be `bitakun in to the hondis of the kyng of Assiriens;
10 Assim falareis a Ezequias, rei de Judá, dizendo: Não deixes que o teu Deus, no qual tu confias, engane-te, dizendo: Jerusalém não será entregue na mão do rei da Assíria.
11 for thou thi silf herdist what thingis the kyngis of Assiriens diden in alle londis, hou thei wastiden tho; whether therfor thou aloone maist be delyuered?
11 Eis que tu tens ouvido o que os reis da Assíria têm feito a todas as terras, ao destruí-las por completo; e serás tu livrado?
12 Whether the goddis of hethene men delyueriden alle men whiche my fadris distrieden, that is, Gozam, and Aran, and Reseph, and the sones of Eden, that weren in Thelassar?
12 Têm os deuses das nações as livrado aquelas que os meus pais têm destruído; e Gozã, e Harã e Rezefe, e os filhos de Éden, os quais estavam em Telassar?
13 Where is the kyng of Emath, and the kyng of Arphat? and the kyng of the cytee of Sepharuaym, of Ana, and of Aua?
13 Onde está o rei de Hamate, e o rei de Arpade, e o rei da cidade de Sefarvaim, de Hena e de Iva?
14 Therfor whanne Ezechie hadde take the lettris fro the hond of messangeris, and hadde red tho, he stiede in to the hows of the Lord, and spredde abrood tho bifor the Lord;
14 E Ezequias recebeu a carta das mãos dos mensageiros, e a leu; e Ezequias subiu para dentro da casa do SENHOR, e a estendeu diante do SENHOR.
15 and preiede in his siyt, and seide, Lord God of Israel, that sittist on cherubym, thou art God aloone of alle kyngis of erthe; thou madist heuene and erthe.
15 E Ezequias orou diante do SENHOR, e disse: Ó SENHOR, Deus de Israel, que habitas no meio dos querubins, tu és o Deus, tão somente tu, de todos os reinos da terra; tu criaste o céu e a terra.
16 Bowe thin eere, and here; opyn thin iyen, Lord, and se; and here alle the wordis of Senacherib, which sente, that he schulde dispise `to vs `God lyuynge.
16 SENHOR, abaixa o teu ouvido, e ouve; abre, SENHOR, os teus olhos, e vê; e ouve as palavras de Senaqueribe, as quais ele enviou para repreender o Deus vivente.
17 Verili, Lord, the kynges of Assiriens distrieden hethene men, and the londis of alle men,
17 Verdadeiramente, SENHOR, os reis da Assíria têm destruído as nações e as suas terras,
18 and senten the goddis of hem in to fier; for thei weren not goddis, but werkis of `hondis of men, of tre and stoon; and thei losten `tho goddis.
18 e lançado os seus deuses ao fogo; porque eles não eram deuses, senão obra das mãos de homens, madeira e pedra; por isso eles os destruíram.
19 Now therfor, oure Lord God, make vs saaf fro the hond of hem, that alle rewmes of erthe wite that thou art the Lord God aloone.
19 Agora, portanto, Ó SENHOR nosso Deus, eu te suplico, salva-nos da sua mão, para que todos os reinos da terra possam saber que tu és o SENHOR Deus, tão somente tu.
20 Forsothe Isaie, sone of Amos, sente to Ezechie, and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y haue herd tho thingis, whiche thou preidist me on Sennacherib, king of Assiriens.
20 Então, Isaías, o filho de Amoz, mandou dizer a Ezequias: Assim diz o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Quanto ao que tens orado a mim contra Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria, eu ouvi.
21 This is the word, which the Lord spak of hym, Thou virgyn douytir of Syon, he dispiside thee, and scornyde thee; thou douyter of Jerusalem, he mouyde his heed aftir thi bak.
21 Esta é a palavra que o SENHOR tem falado a respeito dele: A virgem, a filha de Sião, tem te desprezado, e riu de ti para zombar-te; a filha de Jerusalém meneou a sua cabeça diante de ti.
22 Sennacherib, whom `dispisidist thou, and whom `blasfemedist thou? Ayens whom hast thou reisid thi vois, and hast reisid thin iyen an hiye? Ayens the hooli of Israel.
22 A quem tens repreendido e blasfemado? E contra quem tens exaltado a tua voz, e erguido os teus olhos ao alto? Contra o Santo de Israel.
23 Bi the hond of thi seruauntis thou dispisidist the Lord, and seidist, In the multitude of my charys Y stiede in to the hiye thingis of hillis, in the hiynesse of Liban, and kittide doun the hiye cedris therof, and the chosyn beechis therof; and Y entride `til to the termes therof,
23 Pelos teus mensageiros tu tens repreendido o Senhor, e tens dito: Com a multidão das minhas carruagens eu estou subindo até as alturas dos montes, até as encostas do Líbano, e cortarei os seus altos cedros, e os seus melhores ciprestes; e entrarei nos alojamentos dos seus limites, e na floresta do seu Carmelo.
24 and Y kittide doun the forest of Carmele therof; and Y drank alien watris, and Y made drie with the steppis of `the feet of myn `alle watris closid.
24 Tenho cavado e bebido águas estranhas, e com a sola do meu pé tenho secado todos os rios dos lugares sitiados.
25 Whether thou herdist not, what Y made at the bigynnyng? Fro elde daies Y made it, and now Y haue brouyt forth; and strengthid citees of fiyteris schulen be in to fallyng of hillis.
25 Não tens ouvido há muito tempo como eu tenho feito isto, e de tempos antigos que eu o formei? Agora fiz isto suceder, para que tu fosses devastar as cidades fortificadas tornando-as em montes de ruínas.
26 And thei that sitten meke of hond in tho, trembliden togidere, and ben schent; thei ben maad as the hei of the feeld, and as grene eerbe of roouys, which is dried, bifor that it cam to ripenesse.
26 Portanto, os seus habitantes tinham pouco poder, ficaram atônitos e confusos; eles eram como a erva do campo, e como a erva verde, como a erva no alto das casas, e como o grão ressecado antes de ter crescido.
27 And Y bifor knew thi dwellyng, and thi goyng out, and thin entryng, and thi weie, and thi woodnesse ayens me.
27 Porém, conheço o teu assentar, e o teu sair e o teu entrar, e a tua fúria contra mim.
28 Thou were wood ayens me, and thi pride stide in to myn eeris; therfor Y schal putte a cercle in thi nosethirlis, and a bernacle in thi lippis, and Y schal lede thee ayen in to the weie bi which thou camest.
28 Porque a tua fúria contra mim e o teu tumulto subiu aos meus ouvidos, portanto colocarei o meu gancho no teu nariz, e o meu freio nos teus lábios, e te farei retornar pelo caminho pelo qual vieste.
29 Forsothe, Ezechie, this schal be a signe `to thee; ete thou in this yeer that, that thou fyndist; forsothe in the secounde yeer tho thingis, that growen bi her owne wille; sotheli in the thridde yeer sowe ye, and repe ye, plaunte ye vyneris, and ete the fruytis of tho.
29 E este será um sinal para ti: Vós comereis neste ano as coisas que crescem por si mesmas, e no segundo ano aquilo que brotar das mesmas; e no terceiro ano semeareis, e colhereis, e plantareis vinhas, e comereis dos seus frutos.
30 And what euer thing schal be residue of the hows of Juda, it schal sende root dounward, and schal make fruyt vpward.
30 E o remanescente que tiver escapado da casa de Judá ainda lançará raízes para baixo, e dará o seu fruto para cima.
31 For relikis schulen go out of Jerusalem, and that, that schal be sauyd, `schal go out of the hil of Syon; the feruent loue of the Lord of oostis schal do this.
31 Porque de Jerusalém sairá um remanescente, e aqueles que escaparam do monte Sião; o ciúme do SENHOR dos Exércitos fará isto.
32 Wherfor the Lord seith these thingis of the kyng of Assiriens, He schal not entre in to this citee, nethir he schal sende an arowe in to it, nether scheeld shal occupie it, nether strengthing, ethir bisegyng, schal cumpasse it.
32 Portanto, assim diz o SENHOR acerca do rei da Assíria: Ele não entrará nesta cidade, nem atirará uma flecha sequer ali, nem virá diante dela com o escudo, tampouco fará um aterro contra ela.
33 He schal turne ayen bi the weie `bi which he cam, and he schal not entre in to this citee, seith the Lord;
33 Pelo caminho que veio, pelo mesmo caminho ele haverá de voltar, e não entrará nesta cidade, diz o SENHOR.
34 and Y schal defende this citee, and Y schal saue it for me, and for Dauid, my seruaunt.
34 Porque eu defenderei esta cidade, para salvá-la, por causa de mim mesmo, e por causa do meu servo Davi.
35 Therfor it was don, in that niyt the aungel of the Lord cam, and smoot in the castels of Assiryens an hundrid foure score and fyue thousynde. And whanne Sennacherib hadde rise eerli, he siy alle bodies of deed men; and he departide, and yede awei.
35 E sucedeu pois, naquela noite, que o anjo do SENHOR saiu, e feriu no acampamento dos assírios cento e oitenta e cinco mil; e quando eles se levantaram de manhã cedo, eis que eles eram todos corpos mortos.
36 And Sennacherib, the kyng of Assiriens, turnede ayen, and dwellide in Nynyue.
36 Assim, Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria partiu. Retornou e habitou em Nínive.
37 And whanne he worschipide in the temple Nestrach his god, Adramelech and Sirasar, his sones, killide hym with swerd; and thei fledden in to the lond of Armenyes; and Asaradon, his sone, regnyde for hym.
37 E sucedeu que, enquanto ele estava adorando na casa de Nisroque, o seu deus, que Adrameleque e Sarezer, seus filhos, o feriram com a espada; e eles escaparam para a terra da Armênia. E Esar-Hadom, o seu filho, reinou no seu lugar.
