1 Poul, clepid apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, and Sostenes, brothir, to the chirche of God that is at Corynthe,
1 Paulo, chamado para ser um apóstolo de Jesus Cristo pela vontade de Deus, e Sóstenes, nosso irmão,
2 to hem that ben halewid in Crist Jhesu, and clepid seyntis, with alle that inwardli clepen the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, in ech place of hem and of oure,
2 à igreja de Deus que está em Corinto, para os que são santificados em Cristo Jesus, chamados para serem santos, com todos os que em todo lugar invocam o nome de Jesus Cristo nosso Senhor, tanto deles como nosso:
3 grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
3 Graça seja convosco, e paz, de Deus nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
4 Y do thankyngis to my God eueremore for you, in the grace of God that is youun to you in Crist Jhesu.
4 Eu sempre dou graças ao meu Deus por vós, pela graça de Deus que vos foi dada em Jesus Cristo;
5 For in alle thingis ye ben maad riche in hym, in ech word, and in ech kunnyng,
5 pois em todas as coisas fostes enriquecidos por ele, em toda a palavra e em todo o conhecimento.
6 as the witnessyng of Crist is confermyd in you;
6 Assim como o testemunho de Cristo foi confirmado em vós.
7 so that no thing faile to you in ony grace, that abiden the schewyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;
7 De maneira que nenhum dom vos falta, esperando pela vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
8 which also schal conferme you in to the ende with outen cryme, in the dai of the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
8 o qual vos confirmará também até ao fim, para serdes irrepreensíveis no dia de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
9 `A trewe God, bi whom ye ben clepid in to the felouschipe of his sone Jhesu Crist oure Lord.
9 Deus é fiel, pelo qual fostes chamados para a comunhão de seu Filho Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor.
10 But, britheren, Y biseche you, bi the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye alle seie the same thing, and that dissenciouns be not among you; but be ye perfit in the same wit, and in the same kunnyng.
10 Rogo-vos, porém, irmãos, pelo nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que digais todos uma mesma coisa, e que não haja divisões entre vós; antes, sejais perfeitamente unidos, em uma mesma mente e em um mesmo julgamento.
11 For, my britheren, it is teld to me of hem that ben at Cloes, that stryues ben among you.
11 Pois me tem sido declarado a respeito de vós, irmãos meus, pelos que são da casa de Cloé, que há contendas entre vós.
12 And Y seie that, that ech of you seith, For Y am of Poul, and Y am of Apollo, and Y am of Cefas, but Y am of Crist.
12 Agora digo isso, a cada um de vós que diz: Eu sou de Paulo, e eu de Apolo, e eu de Cefas, e eu de Cristo.
13 Whether Crist is departid? whether Poul was crucified for you, ether ye ben baptisid in the name of Poul?
13 Está Cristo dividido? Foi Paulo crucificado por vós? Ou fostes vós batizados em nome de Paulo?
14 Y do thankyngis to my God, that Y baptiside noon of you, but Crispus and Gayus;
14 Eu agradeço a Deus pois não batizei nenhum de vós, senão a Crispo e a Gaio;
15 lest ony man seie, that ye ben baptisid in my name.
15 para que ninguém diga que em meu próprio nome fostes batizados.
16 And Y baptiside also the hous of Stephan, but Y woot not, that Y baptiside ony other.
16 E eu batizei também a família de Estéfanas; além destes, não sei se eu batizei algum outro.
17 For Crist sente me not to baptise, but to preche the gospel; not in wisdom of word, that the cros of Crist be not voidid awei.
17 Porque Cristo enviou-me não para batizar, mas para pregar o evangelho; não com sabedoria de palavras, para que não se faça vã a cruz de Cristo.
18 For the word of the cros is foli to hem that perischen; but to hem that ben maad saaf, that is to seie, to vs, it is the vertu of God.
18 Porque a pregação da cruz é loucura para os que perecem; mas para nós, que somos salvos, é o poder de Deus.
19 For it is writun, Y schal distruye the wisdom of wise men, and Y schal reproue the prudence of prudent men.
19 Porque está escrito: Eu destruirei a sabedoria dos sábios e reduzirei a nada o entendimento do prudente.
20 Where is the wise man? where is the wise lawiere? where is the purchasour of this world? Whether God hath not maad the wisdom of this world fonned?
20 Onde está o sábio? Onde está o escriba? Onde está o inquiridor deste mundo? Não tem Deus feito insensata a sabedoria deste mundo?
21 For the world in wisdom of God knewe not God bi wisdom, it pleside to God, bi foli of prechyng, `to maken hem saaf that bileueden.
21 Visto que, na sabedoria de Deus, o mundo não conheceu a Deus pela sua sabedoria, agradou a Deus salvar os que creem pela loucura da pregação.
22 For Jewis seken signes, and Grekis seken wisdom;
22 Porque os judeus requerem um sinal, e os gregos buscam a sabedoria;
23 but we prechen Crist crucified, to Jewis sclaundre, and to hethene men foli;
23 mas nós pregamos a Cristo crucificado, que é pedra de tropeço para os judeus, e para os gregos loucura;
24 but to tho Jewis and Grekis that ben clepid, we prechen Crist the vertu of God and the wisdom of God.
24 mas, para os que são chamados, tanto judeus como gregos, Cristo é o poder de Deus, e a sabedoria de Deus.
25 For that that is foli thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feble thing of God, is strengere than men.
25 Porque a loucura de Deus é mais sábia do que os homens; e a fraqueza de Deus é mais forte do que os homens.
26 But, britheren, se ye youre clepyng; for not many wise men aftir the fleisch, not many myyti, not many noble.
26 Porque vedes o vosso chamado, irmãos, que não são muitos os homens sábios segundo a carne, nem muitos os poderosos, nem muitos os nobres que são chamados;
27 But God chees tho thingis that ben fonned of the world, to confounde wise men;
27 mas Deus escolheu as coisas loucas deste mundo para confundir os sábios; e Deus escolheu as coisas fracas deste mundo para confundir as coisas que são poderosas;
28 and God chees the feble thingis of the world, to confounde the stronge thingis; and God chees the vnnoble thingis `and dispisable thingis of the world, and tho thingis that ben not, to distruye tho thingis that ben;
28 e Deus escolheu as coisas vis deste mundo, e as coisas que são desprezíveis, sim, as coisas que nada são, para aniquilar a nada as coisas que são;
29 that ech man haue not glorie in his siyt.
29 para que nenhuma carne se glorie em sua presença.
30 But of hym ye ben in Crist Jhesu, which is maad of God to vs wisdom, and riytwisnesse, and holynesse, and ayenbiyng; that,
30 Mas vós sois dele em Cristo Jesus, o qual por parte de Deus nos foi feito sabedoria, e justiça, e santificação, e redenção;
31 as it is wrytun, He that glorieth, haue glorie in the Lord.
31 para que, como está escrito: Aquele que se gloria, glorie-se no Senhor.
