1 But of spiritual thingis, britheren, Y nyle that ye vnknowun.
1 Ora, acerca dos dons espirituais, irmãos, eu não quero que sejais ignorantes.
2 For ye witen, that whanne ye weren hethene men, hou ye weren led goynge to doumbe maumetis.
2 Vós sabeis que, ainda quando gentios, fostes levados aos ídolos mudos, assim como fostes conduzidos.
3 Therfor Y make knowun to you, that no man spekynge in the spirit of God, seith departyng fro Jhesu; and no man may seie the Lord Jhesu, but in the Hooli Goost.
3 Por isso, eu vos quero fazer entender que nenhum homem falando pelo Espírito de Deus chama Jesus de amaldiçoado. E que nenhum homem pode dizer que Jesus é o Senhor, senão pelo Santo Espírito.
4 And dyuerse graces ther ben, but it is al oon Spirit;
4 Ora, há diversidade de dons, mas o Espírito é o mesmo.
5 and dyuerse seruyces ther ben, but it is al oon Lord; and dyuerse worchingis ther ben,
5 E há diferentes ministérios, mas o Senhor é o mesmo.
6 but `al is oon God, that worchith alle thingis in alle thingis.
6 E há diversidade de operações, mas é o mesmo Deus que opera tudo em todos.
7 And to ech man the schewyng of spirit is youun to profit. The word of wisdom is youun to oon bi spirit;
7 Mas a manifestação do Espírito é dada a cada um para proveito comum.
8 to another the word of kunnyng, bi the same spirit;
8 Porque a um é dada, pelo Espírito, a palavra da sabedoria; a outro a palavra do conhecimento, pelo mesmo Espírito;
9 feith to another, in the same spirit; to anothere, grace of helthis, in o spirit;
9 a outro a fé, pelo mesmo Espírito; a outro, os dons de cura, pelo mesmo Espírito;
10 to another, the worchyng of vertues; to another, profecie; to another, very knowyng of spiritis; to another, kyndis of langagis; to another, expownyng of wordis.
10 a outro, a operação de milagres; a outro, a profecia; a outro, o discernimento dos espíritos; a outro, diversos tipos de línguas; a outro, a interpretação das línguas.
11 And oon and the same spirit worchith alle these thingis, departynge to ech bi hem silf as he wole.
11 Um só e o mesmo Espírito opera estas coisas, dividindo a cada homem várias vezes como ele deseja.
12 For as ther is o body, and hath many membris, and alle the membris of the bodi whanne tho ben manye, ben o bodi, so also Crist.
12 Porque, assim como o corpo é um, e tem muitos membros, e todos os membros desse corpo, sendo muitos, são um corpo, assim também é Cristo.
13 For in o spirit alle we ben baptisid `in to o bodi, ether Jewis, ether hethene, ether seruauntis, ether free; and alle we ben fillid with drink in o spirit.
13 Porque por um Espírito, todos nós fomos batizados em um corpo, quer sejamos judeus ou gentios, quer sejamos escravos ou livres, e a todos foi dado beber em um só Espírito.
14 For the bodi is not o membre, but manye.
14 Pois o corpo não é um membro, mas muitos.
15 If the foot seith, For Y am not the hoond, Y am not of the bodi; not therfor it is not of the bodi.
15 Se o pé disser: Porque eu não sou mão, eu não sou do corpo; não é portanto do corpo?
16 And if the ere seith, For Y am not the iye, Y am not of the bodi; not therfor it is not of the bodi.
16 E se a orelha disser: Porque eu não sou o olho, eu não sou do corpo; não é portanto do corpo?
17 If al the bodi is the iye, where is heryng? and if al the bodi is heryng, where is smellyng?
17 Se todo o corpo fosse olho, onde estaria o ouvido? Se todo fosse ouvido, onde estaria o olfato?
18 But now God hath set membris, and ech of hem in the bodi, as he wolde.
18 Mas agora Deus colocou cada um dos membros no corpo como lhe agradou.
19 That if alle weren o membre, where were the bodi?
19 E, se todos eles fossem um só membro, onde estaria o corpo?
20 But now ther ben many membris, but o bodi.
20 Mas agora, eles são muitos membros, mas um só corpo.
21 And the iye may not seie to the hond, Y haue no nede to thi werkis; or eft the heed to the feet, Ye ben not necessarie to me.
21 E o olho não pode dizer à mão: Eu não tenho necessidade de ti; nem ainda a cabeça aos pés: Eu não tenho necessidade de vós.
22 But myche more tho that ben seyn to be the lowere membris of the bodi, ben more nedeful;
22 Antes, os membros do corpo que parecem ser os mais fracos são os mais necessários;
23 and thilke that we gessen to be the vnworthier membris of the bodi, we yyuen more honour `to hem; and tho membris that ben vnonest, han more oneste.
23 e os membros do corpo que pensamos ser os menos honrosos, a esses concedemos abundante honra; e às nossas partes íntimas são tratadas com maior decoro.
24 For oure oneste membris han nede of noon; but God tempride the bodi, yyuynge more worschip to it, to whom it failide,
24 Porque nossas partes decentes não têm necessidade disso, mas Deus de tal forma articulou o corpo, dando mais abundante honra à parte que faltava,
25 that debate be not in the bodi, but that the membris be bisi in to the same thing ech for othere.
25 para que não haja separação no corpo, mas que os membros tenham o mesmo cuidado uns para com os outros.
26 And if o membre suffrith ony thing, alle membris suffren therwith; ethir if o membre ioieth, alle membris ioien togidere.
26 E se um membro sofrer, todos os membros sofrem com ele; e se um membro for honrado, todos os membros se regozijam com ele.
27 And ye ben the bodi of Crist, and membris of membre.
27 Ora, vós sois o corpo de Cristo, e seus membros em particular.
28 But God sette sum men in the chirche, fyrst apostlis, the secunde tyme prophetis, the thridde techeris, aftirward vertues, aftirward graces of heelyngis, helpyngis, gouernails, kyndis of langagis, interpretaciouns of wordis.
28 E Deus colocou alguns na igreja, primeiro apóstolos, em segundo lugar, profetas, em terceiro, mestres, depois milagres, depois, dons de curar, de ajudar, de governar, de diversidades de línguas.
29 Whether alle apostlis? whethir alle prophetis? whether alle techeris? whether alle vertues?
29 São todos apóstolos? São todos profetas? São todos mestres? São todos operadores de milagres?
30 whether alle men han grace of heelyngis? whether alle speken with langagis? whether alle expownen?
30 Têm todos do dom de cura? Falam todos em línguas? Fazem todos interpretações?
31 But sue ye the betere goostli yiftis. And yit Y schewe to you a more exellent weye.
31 Portanto, procurai fervorosamente os melhores dons; e eu vos mostrarei um caminho ainda mais excelente.
