1 The title of the two and fiftithe salm. To the ouercomer bi the quere, the lernyng of Dauid. The vnwise man seide in his herte; God is not.
1 Por que te glorias na malícia, ó homem poderoso? pois a bondade de Deus subsiste em todo o tempo.
2 Thei ben `corrupt, and maad abhomynable in her wickidnessis; noon is that doith good.
2 A tua língua maquina planos de destruição, como uma navalha afiada, ó tu que usas de dolo.
3 God bihelde fro heuene on the sones of men; that he se, if `ony is vndurstondynge, ether sekynge God.
3 Tu amas antes o mal do que o bem, e o mentir do que o falar a verdade.
4 Alle boweden awei, thei ben maad vnprofitable togidre; noon is that doith good, ther is not til to oon.
4 Amas todas as palavras devoradoras, ó língua fraudulenta.
5 Whether alle men, that worchen wickidnesse, schulen not wite; whiche deuouren my puple as the mete of breed?
5 Também Deus te esmagará para sempre; arrebatar-te-á e arrancar-te-á da tua habitação, e desarraigar-te-á da terra dos viventes.
6 Thei clepiden not God; there thei trembliden for drede, where no drede was. For God hath scaterid the boones of hem, that plesen men; thei ben schent, for God hath forsake hem.
6 Os justos o verão e temerão; e se rirão dele, dizendo:
7 Who schal yyue fro Syon helthe to Israel? whanne the Lord hath turned the caitifte of his puple, Jacob schal `ful out make ioie, and Israel schal be glad.
7 Eis aqui o homem que não tomou a Deus por sua fortaleza; antes confiava na abundância das suas riquezas, e se fortalecia na sua perversidade.

8 Mas eu sou qual oliveira verde na casa de Deus; confio na bondade de Deus para sempre e eternamente.
9 — ausente —
9 Para sempre te louvarei, porque tu isso fizeste, e proclamarei o teu nome, porque é bom diante de teus santos.
