1 Therfor now no thing of dampnacioun is to hem that ben in Crist Jhesu, whiche wandren not after the flesch.
1 Agora, pois, já não existe nenhuma condenação para os que estão em Cristo Jesus.
2 For the lawe of the spirit of lijf in Crist Jhesu hath delyuerid me fro the lawe of synne, and of deth.
2 Porque a lei do Espírito da vida, em Cristo Jesus, livrou você da lei do pecado e da morte.
3 For that that was vnpossible to the lawe, in what thing it was sijk bi flesch, God sente his sone in to the licknesse of fleisch of synne, and of synne dampnede synne in fleisch;
3 Porque aquilo que a lei não podia fazer, por causa da fraqueza da carne, isso Deus fez, enviando o seu próprio Filho em semelhança de carne pecaminosa e no que diz respeito ao pecado. E assim Deus condenou o pecado na carne,
4 that the iustefiyng of the lawe were fulfillid in vs, that goen not aftir the fleisch, but aftir the spirit.
4 a fim de que a exigência da lei se cumprisse em nós, que não vivemos segundo a carne, mas segundo o Espírito.
5 For thei that ben aftir the fleisch, saueren tho thingis that ben of the fleisch; but thei that ben after the spirit, feelen tho thingis that ben of the spirit. For the prudence of fleisch is deth;
5 Os que vivem segundo a carne se inclinam para as coisas da carne, mas os que vivem segundo o Espírito se inclinam para as coisas do Espírito.
6 but the prudence of spirit is lijf and pees.
6 Pois a inclinação da carne é morte, mas a do Espírito é vida e paz.
7 For the wisdom of the fleisch is enemye to God; for it is not suget to the lawe of God, for nether it may.
7 Porque a inclinação da carne é inimizade contra Deus, pois não está sujeita à lei de Deus, nem mesmo pode estar.
8 And thei that ben in fleisch, moun not plese to God.
8 Portanto, os que estão na carne não podem agradar a Deus.
9 But ye ben not in fleisch, but in spirit; if netheles the spirit of God dwellith in you. But if ony hath not the spirit of Crist, this is not his.
9 Vocês, porém, não estão na carne, mas no Espírito, se de fato o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês. E, se alguém não tem o Espírito de Cristo, esse tal não é dele.
10 For if Crist is in you, the bodi is deed for synne, but the spirit lyueth for iustefiyng.
10 Se, porém, Cristo está em vocês, o corpo, na verdade, está morto por causa do pecado, mas o Espírito é vida, por causa da justiça.
11 And if the spirit of hym that reiside Jhesu Crist fro deth dwellith in you, he that reiside Jhesu Crist fro deth, shal quykene also youre deedli bodies, for the spirit of hym that dwellith in you.
11 Se em vocês habita o Espírito daquele que ressuscitou Jesus dentre os mortos, esse mesmo que ressuscitou Cristo dentre os mortos vivificará também o corpo mortal de vocês, por meio do seu Espírito, que habita em vocês.
12 Therfor, britheren, we ben dettouris, not to the flesch, that we lyuen aftir the flesch.
12 Assim, pois, irmãos, somos devedores, não à carne, como se estivéssemos obrigados a viver segundo a carne.
13 For if ye lyuen aftir the fleisch, ye schulen die; but if ye bi the spirit sleen the dedis of the fleisch, ye schulen lyue.
13 Porque, se vocês viverem segundo a carne, caminharão para a morte; mas, se, pelo Espírito, mortificarem os feitos do corpo, certamente viverão.
14 For who euere ben led bi the spirit of God, these ben the sones of God.
14 Pois todos os que são guiados pelo Espírito de Deus são filhos de Deus.
15 For ye han not take eftsoone the spirit of seruage in drede, but ye han taken the spirit of adopcioun of sones, in which we crien, Abba, fadir.
15 Porque vocês não receberam um espírito de escravidão, para viverem outra vez atemorizados, mas receberam o Espírito de adoção, por meio do qual clamamos: “Aba, Pai.”
16 And the ilke spirit yeldith witnessyng to oure spirit, that we ben the sones of God;
16 O próprio Espírito confirma ao nosso espírito que somos filhos de Deus.
17 if sones, and eiris, `and eiris of God, and eiris togidere with Crist; if netheles we suffren togidere, that also we ben glorified togidere.
17 E, se somos filhos, somos também herdeiros; herdeiros de Deus e coerdeiros com Cristo, se com ele sofremos, para que também com ele sejamos glorificados.
18 And Y deme, that the passiouns of this tyme ben not worthi to the glorie to comynge, that schal be schewid in vs.
18 Porque para mim tenho por certo que os sofrimentos do tempo presente não podem ser comparados com a glória a ser revelada em nós.
19 For the abidyng of creature abidith the schewyng of the sones of God.
19 A ardente expectativa da criação aguarda a revelação dos filhos de Deus.
20 But the creature is suget to vanyte, not willynge, but for hym that made it suget in hope;
20 Pois a criação está sujeita à vaidade, não por sua própria vontade, mas por causa daquele que a sujeitou,
21 for the ilke creature schal be delyuered fro seruage of corrupcioun in to liberte of the glorie of the sones of God.
21 na esperança de que a própria criação será libertada do cativeiro da corrupção, para a liberdade da glória dos filhos de Deus.
22 And we witen, that ech creature sorewith, and trauelith with peyne til yit.
22 Porque sabemos que toda a criação a um só tempo geme e suporta angústias até agora.
23 And not oneli it, but also we vs silf, that han the first fruytis of the spirit, and we vs silf sorewen with ynne vs for the adopcioun of Goddis sonys, abidynge the ayenbiyng of oure bodi.
23 E não somente ela, mas também nós, que temos as primícias do Espírito, igualmente gememos em nosso íntimo, aguardando a adoção de filhos, a redenção do nosso corpo.
24 But bi hope we ben maad saaf. For hope that is seyn, is not hope; for who hopith that thing, that he seeth?
24 Porque na esperança fomos salvos. Ora, esperança que se vê não é esperança. Pois quem espera o que está vendo?
25 And if we hopen that thing that we seen not, we abiden bi pacience.
25 Mas, se esperamos o que não vemos, com paciência o aguardamos.
26 And also the spirit helpith oure infirmyte; for what we schulen preie, as it bihoueth, we witen not, but the ilke spirit axith for vs with sorewyngis, that moun not be teld out.
26 Da mesma maneira, também o Espírito nos ajuda em nossa fraqueza. Porque não sabemos orar como convém, mas o próprio Espírito intercede por nós com gemidos inexprimíveis.
27 For he that sekith the hertis, woot what the spirit desirith, for bi God he axith for hooli men.
27 E aquele que sonda os corações sabe qual é a mente do Espírito, porque intercede pelos santos de acordo com a vontade de Deus.
28 And we witen, that to men `that louen God, alle thingis worchen togidere in to good, to hem that aftir purpos ben clepid seyntis.
28 Sabemos que todas as coisas cooperam para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, daqueles que são chamados segundo o seu propósito.
29 For thilke that he knewe bifor, he bifor ordenede bi grace to be maad lijk to the ymage of his sone, that he be the first bigetun among many britheren.
29 Pois aqueles que Deus de antemão conheceu ele também predestinou para serem conformes à imagem de seu Filho, a fim de que ele seja o primogênito entre muitos irmãos.
30 And thilke that he bifore ordeynede to blis, hem he clepide; and whiche he clepide, hem he iustifiede; and whiche he iustifiede, and hem he glorifiede.
30 E aos que predestinou, a esses também chamou; e aos que chamou, a esses também justificou; e aos que justificou, a esses também glorificou.
31 What thanne schulen we seie to these thingis? If God for vs, who is ayens vs?
31 Que diremos, então, à vista destas coisas? Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós?
32 The which also sparide not his owne sone, but `for vs alle bitook hym, hou also yaf he not to vs alle thingis with hym?
32 Aquele que não poupou o seu próprio Filho, mas por todos nós o entregou, será que não nos dará graciosamente com ele todas as coisas?
33 Who schal accuse ayens the chosun men of God? It is God that iustifieth,
33 Quem intentará acusação contra os eleitos de Deus? É Deus quem os justifica.
34 who is it that condempneth? It is Jhesus Crist that was deed, yhe, the which roos ayen, the which is on the riyt half of God, and the which preieth for vs.
34 Quem os condenará? É Cristo Jesus quem morreu, ou melhor, quem ressuscitou, o qual está à direita de Deus e também intercede por nós.
35 Who thanne schal departe vs fro the charite of Crist? tribulacioun, or anguysch, or hungur, or nakidnesse, or persecucioun, or perel, or swerd?
35 Quem nos separará do amor de Cristo? Será a tribulação, ou a angústia, ou a perseguição, ou a fome, ou a nudez, ou o perigo ou a espada?
36 As it is writun, For we ben slayn al dai for thee; we ben gessid as scheep of slauytir.
36 Como está escrito: “Por amor de ti, somos entregues à morte continuamente; fomos considerados como ovelhas para o matadouro.”
37 But in alle these thingis we ouercomen, for hym that louyde vs.
37 Em todas estas coisas, porém, somos mais que vencedores, por meio daquele que nos amou.
38 But Y am certeyn, that nethir deeth, nether lijf, nether aungels, nethir principatus, nether vertues, nether present thingis, nether thingis to comynge, nether strengthe,
38 Porque eu estou bem certo de que nem a morte, nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem as coisas do presente, nem do porvir, nem os poderes,
39 nether heiyth, nether depnesse, nether noon othir creature may departe vs fro the charite of God, that is in `Crist Jhesu oure Lord.
39 nem a altura, nem a profundidade, nem qualquer outra criatura poderá nos separar do amor de Deus, que está em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor.
