1 And the Farisees and the Saducees camen to hym temptynge, and preieden hym to schewe hem a tokene fro heuene.
1 Aproximando-se os fariseus e os saduceus, tentando-o, pediram-lhe que lhes mostrasse um sinal vindo do céu.
2 And he answeride, and seide to hem, Whanne the euentid is comun, ye seien, It schal be clere, for heuene is rodi;
2 Ele, porém, lhes respondeu: Chegada a tarde, dizeis: Haverá bom tempo, porque o céu está avermelhado;
3 and the morewtid, To dai tempest, for heuene schyneth heueli.
3 e, pela manhã: Hoje, haverá tempestade, porque o céu está de um vermelho sombrio. Sabeis, na verdade, discernir o aspecto do céu e não podeis discernir os sinais dos tempos?
4 Thanne ye kunne deme the face of heuene, but ye moun not wite the tokenes of tymes. An yuel generacioun and auoutresse sekith a tokene; and a tokene schal not be youun to it, but the tokene of Jonas, the profete. And whanne he hadde left hem, he wente forth.
4 Uma geração má e adúltera pede um sinal; e nenhum sinal lhe será dado, senão o de Jonas. E, deixando-os, retirou-se.
5 And whanne his disciplis camen ouer the see, thei foryaten to take looues.
5 Ora, tendo os discípulos passado para o outro lado, esqueceram-se de levar pão.
6 And he seide to hem, Biholde ye, and be war of the soure dowy of Farisees and Saducees.
6 E Jesus lhes disse: Vede e acautelai-vos do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
7 And thei thouyten among hem, and seiden, For we han not take looues.
7 Eles, porém, discorriam entre si, dizendo: É porque não trouxemos pão.
8 But Jhesus witynge seide to hem, What thenken ye among you of litel feith, for ye han not looues?
8 Percebendo-o Jesus, disse: Por que discorreis entre vós, homens de pequena fé, sobre o não terdes pão?
9 Yit `vndurstonden not ye, nether han mynde of fyue looues in to fyue thousynde of men, and hou many cofyns ye token?
9 Não compreendeis ainda, nem vos lembrais dos cinco pães para cinco mil homens e de quantos cestos tomastes?
10 nether of seuene looues in to foure thousynde of men, and hou many lepis ye token?
10 Nem dos sete pães para os quatro mil e de quantos cestos tomastes?
11 Whi vndurstonden ye not, for Y seide not to you of breed, Be ye war of the sourdowy of Farisees and of Saducees?
11 Como não compreendeis que não vos falei a respeito de pães? E sim: acautelai-vos do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
12 Thanne thei vndurstooden, that he seide not to be war of sourdowy of looues, but of the techyng of Farisees and Saducees.
12 Então, entenderam que não lhes dissera que se acautelassem do fermento de pães, mas da doutrina dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
13 And Jhesus cam in to the parties of Cesarie of Filip, and axide hise disciplis, and seide, Whom seien men to be mannus sone?
13 Indo Jesus para os lados de Cesareia de Filipe, perguntou a seus discípulos: Quem diz o povo ser o Filho do Homem?
14 And thei seiden, Summe Joon Baptist; othere Elie; and othere Jeremye, or oon of the prophetis.
14 E eles responderam: Uns dizem: João Batista; outros: Elias; e outros: Jeremias ou algum dos profetas.
15 Jhesus seide to hem, But whom seien ye me to be?
15 Mas vós, continuou ele, quem dizeis que eu sou?
16 Symount Petre answeride, and seide, Thou art Crist, the sone of God lyuynge.
16 Respondendo Simão Pedro, disse: Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo.
17 Jhesus answeride, and seide to him, Blessid art thou, Symount Bariona; for fleisch and blood schewide not to thee, but my fadir that is in heuenes.
17 Então, Jesus lhe afirmou: Bem-aventurado és, Simão Barjonas, porque não foi carne e sangue que to revelaram, mas meu Pai, que está nos céus.
18 And Y seie to thee, that thou art Petre, and on this stoon Y schal bilde my chirche, and the yatis of helle schulen not haue miyt ayens it.
18 Também eu te digo que tu és Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela.
19 And to thee Y shal yyue the keies of the kingdom of heuenes; and what euer thou shalt bynde on erthe, schal be boundun also in heuenes; and what euer thou schalt vnbynde on erthe, schal be vnbounden also in heuenes.
19 Dar-te-ei as chaves do reino dos céus; o que ligares na terra terá sido ligado nos céus; e o que desligares na terra terá sido desligado nos céus.
20 Thanne he comaundide to hise disciplis, that thei schulden seie to no man, that he was Crist.
20 Então, advertiu os discípulos de que a ninguém dissessem ser ele o Cristo.
21 Fro that tyme Jhesus bigan to schewe to hise disciplis, that it bihofte hym go to Jerusalem, and suffre many thingis, of the eldere men, and of scribis, and princis of prestis; and be slayn, and the thridde dai to rise ayen.
21 Desde esse tempo, começou Jesus Cristo a mostrar a seus discípulos que lhe era necessário seguir para Jerusalém e sofrer muitas coisas dos anciãos, dos principais sacerdotes e dos escribas, ser morto e ressuscitado no terceiro dia.
22 And Petre took hym, and bigan to blame him, and seide, Fer be it fro thee, Lord; this thing schal not be to thee.
22 E Pedro, chamando-o à parte, começou a reprová-lo, dizendo: Tem compaixão de ti, Senhor; isso de modo algum te acontecerá.
23 And he turnede, and seide to Petre, Sathanas, go after me; thou art a sclaundre to me; for thou sauerist not tho thingis that ben of God, but tho thingis that ben of men.
23 Mas Jesus, voltando-se, disse a Pedro: Arreda, Satanás! Tu és para mim pedra de tropeço, porque não cogitas das coisas de Deus, e sim das dos homens.
24 Thanne Jhesus seide to his disciplis, If ony man wole come after me, denye he hym silf, and take his cros, and sue me; for he that wole make his lijf saaf,
24 Então, disse Jesus a seus discípulos: Se alguém quer vir após mim, a si mesmo se negue, tome a sua cruz e siga-me.
25 shal leese it; and he that schal leese his lijf for me, schal fynde it.
25 Porquanto, quem quiser salvar a sua vida perdê-la-á; e quem perder a vida por minha causa achá-la-á.
26 For what profitith it to a man, if he wynne al the world, and suffre peiryng of his soule? or what chaunging schal a man yyue for his soule?
26 Pois que aproveitará o homem se ganhar o mundo inteiro e perder a sua alma? Ou que dará o homem em troca da sua alma?
27 For mannes sone schal come in glorie of his fader, with his aungels, and thanne he schal yelde to ech man after his werkis.
27 Porque o Filho do Homem há de vir na glória de seu Pai, com os seus anjos, e, então, retribuirá a cada um conforme as suas obras.
28 Treuli Y seie to you, `ther ben summe of hem that stonden here, whiche schulen not taste deth, til thei seen mannus sone comynge in his kyngdom.
28 Em verdade vos digo que alguns há, dos que aqui se encontram, que de maneira nenhuma passarão pela morte até que vejam vir o Filho do Homem no seu reino.
