1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel,
1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:
2 that thei brynge to thee oile of olyues, pureste oile, and briyt, to the lanternes to be ordeyned contynueli with out the veil of witnessyng,
2 "Ordena aos israelitas que te tragam óleo puro de olivas esmagadas para manter, continuamente, acesas as lâmpadas do candelabro.
3 in the tabernacle of boond of pees; and Aaron schal araye tho lanternes fro euentid `til to euentid bifor the Lord, bi religioun and custom euerlastynge in youre generaciouns;
3 Aarão prepará-las-á fora do véu do testemunho, na tenda de reunião, a fim de que elas queimem continuamente, da tarde à manhã, diante do Senhor.
4 tho schulen be set euere on a clenneste candilstike in the siyt of the Lord.
4 Disporá as lâmpadas no candelabro de ouro puro, para que queimem continuamente diante do Senhor.
5 Also thou schalt take wheete flour, and thou schalt bake therof twelue looues, which schulen haue ech bi hem silf twei tenthe partis,
5 Tomarás também flor de farinha e farás com ela doze bolos cozidos, cada um dos quais com dois décimos de efá.
6 of whiche thou schalt sette sexe on euer eithir side, on a clenneste boord bifor the Lord;
6 Dispô-los-ás em duas pilhas de seis na mesa de ouro puro diante do Senhor.
7 and thou schalt sette clereste encense on tho looues, that the looues be in to mynde of offryng of the Lord;
7 Sobre cada pilha porás incenso puro, que será um memorial oferecido pelo fogo ao Senhor.
8 bi ech sabat tho schulen be chaungid bifor the Lord, and schulen be takun of the sones of Israel bi euerlastynge boond of pees;
8 Colocar-se-ão esses pães diante do Senhor a cada sábado, continuamente, da parte dos israelitas: esta é uma aliança perpétua.
9 and tho schulen be Aarons and hise sones, that thei ete tho in the hooli place, for it is hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis, of the sacrifices of the Lord, bi euerlastynge lawe.
9 Esses pães serão propriedade de Aarão e de seus filhos, que os comerão no lugar santo; isso será para eles uma coisa santíssima entre as ofertas feitas pelo fogo ao Senhor. É uma lei perpétua."
10 Lo! forsothe the sone of a womman of Israel, whom sche childide of a man Egipcian, yede out among the sones of Israel, and chidde in the castels with a man of Israel,
10 O filho de uma mulher israelita, tendo por pai um egípcio, veio entre os israelitas. E, discutindo no acampamento com um deles,
11 and whanne he hadde blasfemyd the name of the Lord, and hadde cursid the Lord, he was brouyt to Moises; forsothe his modir was clepid Salumyth, the douytir of Dabry, of the lynage of Dan;
11 o filho da mulher israelita blasfemou contra o santo nome e o amaldiçoou. Sua mãe chamava-se Salumite, filha de Dabri, da tribo de Dã.
12 and thei senten hym to prisoun, til thei wisten what the Lord comaundide.
12 Puseram-no em prisão até que Moisés tomasse uma decisão, segundo a ordem do Senhor."
13 And the Lord spak to Moises and seide,
13 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:
14 Lede out the blasfemere without the castels, and alle men that herden, sette her hondis on his heed, and al the puple stone hym.
14 "Faze sair do acampamento o blasfemo, e todos aqueles que o ouviram ponham a mão sobre a sua cabeça, e toda a assembléia o apedreje.
15 And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, A man that cursith his God,
15 Dirás aos israelitas: todo aquele que amaldiçoar o seu Deus levará o seu pecado.
16 schal bere his synne, and he that blasfemeth the name of the Lord, die bi deeth; al the multitude of the puple schal oppresse hym with stoonus, whether he that blasfemede the name of the Lord is a citeseyn, whether a pilgrym, die he bi deeth.
16 Quem blasfemar o nome do Senhor será punido de morte: toda a assembléia o apedrejará. Quer seja ele estrangeiro ou natural, se blasfemar contra o santo nome, será punido de morte."
17 He that smytith and sleeth a man, die bi deeth;
17 "Todo aquele que ferir mortalmente um homem será morto.
18 he that smytith a beeste, yelde oon in his stide, that is, lijf for lijf.
18 Quem tiver ferido de morte um animal doméstico, dará outro em seu lugar: vida por vida.
19 If a man yyueth a wem to ony of hise citeseyns, as he dide, so be it don to him;
19 Se um homem ferir o seu próximo, assim como fez, assim se lhe fará a ele:
20 he schal restore brekyng for brekyng, iye for iye, tooth for tooth; what maner wem he yaf, he schal be compellid to suffre sich a wem.
20 fratura por fratura, olho por olho e dente por dente; ser-lhe-á feito o mesmo que ele fez ao seu próximo;
21 He that smytith werk beeste, yeelde another; he that smytith a man, schal be punyschid.
21 Quem matar um animal, restituirá outro, mas o que matar um homem será punido de morte.
22 Euene doom be among you, whether a pilgrym ethir a citeseyn synneth, for Y am youre Lord God.
22 Só haverá uma lei entre vós tanto para o estrangeiro como para o natural: porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus".
23 And Moyses spak to the sones of Israel, and thei brouyten forth out of the castels hym that blasfemede, and oppressiden with stoonus. And the sones of Israel diden, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses.
23 Moisés transmitiu essas normas aos israelitas. Tiraram do acampamento o blasfemo e o apedrejaram, conforme a ordem que o Senhor tinha dado a Moisés.
