1 And the Lord spak to Moises, `and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
1 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, If a womman, whanne sche hath resseyued seed, childith a knaue child, sche schal be vnclene bi seuene daies bi the daies of departyng of corrupt blood, that renneth bi monethis;
2 Fala aos filhos de Israel: Se uma mulher conceber e tiver um menino, será imunda sete dias; como nos dias da sua menstruação, será imunda.
3 and the yong child schal be circumsidid in the eiytithe dai.
3 E, no oitavo dia, se circuncidará ao menino a carne do seu prepúcio.
4 Sotheli sche schal dwelle thre and thretti daies in the blood of hir purifiyng; sche schal not touche ony hooli thing, nethir sche schal entre in to the seyntuarie, til the daies of her clensing be fillid.
4 Depois, ficará ela trinta e três dias a purificar-se do seu sangue; nenhuma coisa santa tocará, nem entrará no santuário até que se cumpram os dias da sua purificação.
5 Sotheli if sche childith a female, sche schal be vnclene twei woukis, bi the custom of flowyng of vnclene blood, and `thre scoor and sixe daies sche schal dwelle in the blood of her clensyng.
5 Mas, se tiver uma menina, será imunda duas semanas, como na sua menstruação; depois, ficará sessenta e seis dias a purificar-se do seu sangue.
6 And whanne the daies of hir clensyng, for a sone, ether for a douytir, ben fillid, sche schal brynge a lomb of o yeer in to brent sacrifice, and a `bryd of a culuer, ethir a turtle, for synne, to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
6 E, cumpridos os dias da sua purificação por filho ou filha, trará ao sacerdote um cordeiro de um ano, por holocausto, e um pombinho ou uma rola, por oferta pelo pecado, à porta da tenda da congregação;
7 and sche schal yyue to the preest, which schal offre tho bifor the Lord, and schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid fro the fowyng of hir blood. This is the lawe of a womman childynge a male, ethir a female.
7 o sacerdote o oferecerá perante o Senhor e, pela mulher, fará expiação; e ela será purificada do fluxo do seu sangue; esta é a lei da que der à luz menino ou menina.
8 That if hir hond fyndith not, nethir may offre a lomb, sche schal take twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueres, oon in to brent sacrifice, and the tother for synne; and the preest schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid.
8 Mas, se as suas posses não lhe permitirem trazer um cordeiro, tomará, então, duas rolas ou dois pombinhos, um para o holocausto e o outro para a oferta pelo pecado; assim, o sacerdote fará expiação pela mulher, e será limpa.
