1 The word which the Lord spak of Babiloyne, and of the lond of Caldeis, in the hond of Jeremye, the profete.
1 Palavra que falou o Senhor contra a Babilônia, contra a terra dos caldeus, por Jeremias, o profeta.
2 Telle ye among hethene men, and make ye herd; reise ye a signe; preche ye, and nyle ye holde stille; seie ye, Babiloyne is takun, Bel is schent, Maradach is ouer comun; the grauun ymagis therof ben schent, the idols of hem ben ouer comun.
2 Anunciai entre as nações, e fazei ouvir, e arvorai um estandarte, e fazei ouvir, e não encubrais; dizei: Tomada é a Babilônia, confundido está Bel, atropelado está Merodaque, confundidos estão os seus ídolos, e caídos estão os seus deuses.
3 For a folk schal stie fro the north ayenus it, which folk schal sette the lond therof in to wildirnesse; and noon schal be that schal dwelle therynne, fro man `til to beeste; and thei ben moued, and yeden a wei.
3 Porque subiu contra ela uma nação do Norte, que fará da sua terra uma solidão, e não haverá quem habite nela; desde os homens até os animais fugiram e se foram.
4 In tho daies, and in that tyme, seith the Lord, the sones of Israel schulen come, thei and the sones of Juda togidere, goynge and wepynge; thei schulen haaste, and seke her Lord God in Sion,
4 Naqueles dias e naquele tempo, diz o Senhor , os filhos de Israel virão, eles e os filhos de Judá juntamente; andando e chorando, virão e buscarão ao Senhor , seu Deus.
5 and thei schulen axe the weie. Hidur the faces of hem schulen come, and thei schulen be set to the Lord with boond of pees euerlastynge, which schal not be don awei by ony foryetyng.
5 Pelo caminho de Sião perguntarão, para ali dirigirão o rosto; virão e se ajuntarão ao Senhor num concerto eterno, que nunca será esquecido.
6 My puple is maad a lost floc, the scheepherdis of hem disseyueden hem, and maden to go vnstabli in hillis; thei passiden fro mounteyn in to a litil hil, thei foryaten her bed.
6 Ovelhas perdidas foram o meu povo, os seus pastores as fizeram errar, para os montes as deixaram desviar; de monte em outeiro andaram, esqueceram-se do lugar de seu repouso.
7 Alle men that founden, eeten hem, and the enemyes of hem seiden, We synneden not, for that thei synneden to the Lord, the fairnesse of riytfulnesse, and to the Lord, the abidyng of her fadris.
7 Todos os que as achavam as devoraram; e os seus adversários diziam: Culpa nenhuma teremos; porque pecaram contra o Senhor e a morada da justiça, sim, o Senhor , a Esperança de seus pais.
8 Go ye awei fro the myddis of Babiloyne, and go ye out of the lond of Caldeis, and be ye as kydis bifore the floc.
8 Fugi do meio da Babilônia e saí da terra dos caldeus; e sede como os carneiros diante do rebanho.
9 For lo! Y schal reise, and brynge in to Babiloyne the gaderyng togidere of grete folkis, fro the lond of the north; and thei schulen be maad redi ayens it, and it schal be takun in the dai; the arowe therof as of a strong man a sleere, schal not turne ayen voide.
9 Porque eis que eu suscitarei e farei subir contra a Babilônia uma congregação de grandes nações da terra do Norte, e se prepararão contra ela; dali, será tomada; as suas flechas serão como de valente herói; nenhuma tornará sem efeito.
10 And Caldee schal be in to prey, alle that distrien it, schulen be fillid, seith the Lord.
10 E a Caldeia servirá de presa; todos os que a saquearem ficarão fartos, diz o Senhor ,
11 For ye maken ful out ioye, and speken grete thingis, and rauyschen myn eritage; for ye ben sched out as caluys on erbe, and lowiden as bolis.
11 porquanto vos alegrastes, e saltastes de prazer, ó saqueadores da minha herança, e vos inchastes como bezerra gorda, e rinchastes como cavalos vigorosos.
12 Youre modir is schent greetli, and sche that gendride you, is maad euene to dust; lo! sche schal be the last among folkis, and forsakun, with out weie, and drie.
12 Será mui confundida vossa mãe, ficará envergonhada a que vos deu à luz; eis que ela será a última das nações, um deserto, uma terra seca e uma solidão.
13 For the wraththe of the Lord it schal not be enhabitid, but it schal be dryuun al in to wildirnesse; ech that schal passe bi Babiloyne, schal wondre, and schal hisse on alle the woundis therof.
13 Por causa do furor do Senhor , não será habitada; antes, se tornará em total assolação; qualquer que passar por Babilônia se espantará e assobiará, vendo todas as suas pragas.
14 Alle ye that beenden bowe, be maad redi ayens Babiloyne bi cumpas; ouercome ye it, spare ye not arowis, for it synnede to the Lord.
14 Preparai-vos para cercar Babilônia, todos os que armais arcos; atirai-lhe, não poupeis as flechas, porque pecou contra o Senhor .
15 Crye ye ayens it, euery where it yaf hond; the foundementis therof fellen doun, and the wallis therof ben distried; for it is the veniaunce of the Lord. Take ye veniaunce of it; as it dide, do ye to it.
15 Gritai contra ela, rodeando-a; ela já se submeteu; caíram seus fundamentos, estão derribados os seus muros, porque esta é a vingança do Senhor ; vingai-vos dela; como ela fez, fazei-lhe.
16 Leese ye a sowere of Babiloyne, and hym that holdith a sikil in the tyme of heruest, fro the face of swerd of the culuer; ech man schal be turned to his puple, and ech man schal flee to his lond.
16 Arrancai da Babilônia aquele que semeia e aquele que leva a foice no tempo da sega; por causa da espada aflitiva, virar-se-á cada um para o seu povo e fugirá cada um para a sua terra.
17 Israel is a scaterid flok, liouns castiden out it; first kyng Assur eete it, this laste Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, dide awei the bonys therof.
17 Cordeiro desgarrado é Israel; os leões o afugentaram. O primeiro a devorá-lo foi o rei da Assíria; e, por último, Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, lhe quebrou os ossos.
18 Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal visite the kyng of Babiloyne, and his lond, as Y visitide the kyng of Assur;
18 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que visitarei o rei da Babilônia e a sua terra, como visitei o rei da Assíria.
19 and Y schal brynge ayen Israel to his dwellyng place. Carmele and Baasan schal be fed, and his soule schal be fillid in the hil of Effraym, and of Galaad.
19 E farei tornar Israel para a sua morada e pastará no Carmelo e em Basã; e fartar-se-á a sua alma no monte de Efraim e em Gileade.
20 In tho daies, and in that tyme, seith the Lord, the wickidnesse of Israel schal be souyt, and it schal not be; and the synne of Juda schal be souyt, and it schal not be foundun; for Y schal be merciful to hem, whiche Y schal forsake.
20 Naqueles dias e naquele tempo, diz o Senhor , buscar-se-á a maldade de Israel e não será achada; e os pecados de Judá, mas não se acharão, porque perdoarei os que eu deixar de resto.
21 Stie thou on the lond of lordis, and visite thou on the dwelleris therof; scatere thou, and sle tho thingis, that ben aftir hem, seith the Lord; and do thou bi alle thingis which Y comaundide to thee.
21 Sobe contra a terra de Merataim, sobe contra ela e contra os moradores de Pecode; assola e inteiramente destrói tudo após eles, diz o Senhor , e faze conforme tudo o que te mandei.
22 The vois of batel and greet sorewe in the lond.
22 Estrondo de batalha há na terra e de grande destruição.
23 Hou is the hamer of al erthe brokun and al defoulid? hou is Babiloyne turned in to desert, among hethene men?
23 Como foi cortado e quebrado o martelo de toda a terra! Como se tornou a Babilônia em espanto entre as nações!
24 Babiloyne, Y haue snarid thee, and thou art takun, and thou wistist not; thou art foundun, and takun, for thou terridist the Lord to wraththe.
24 Laços te armei, e também foste presa, ó Babilônia, e tu não o soubeste; foste achada e também apanhada, porque contra o Senhor te entremeteste.
25 The Lord openide his tresour, and brouyte forth the vessels of his wraththe; for whi a werk is to the Lord God of oostis in the lond of Caldeis.
25 O Senhor abriu o seu tesouro e tirou os instrumentos da sua indignação, porque o Senhor Jeová dos Exércitos, tem uma obra a realizar na terra dos caldeus.
26 Come ye to it fro the fertheste endis, opene ye, that thei go out, that schulen defoule it; take ye awei stoonys fro the weie, and dryue ye in to heepis, and sle ye it, and nothing be residue.
26 Vinde contra ela dos confins da terra, abri os seus celeiros, trilhai-a como a feixes e destruí-a de todo; nada lhe fique de resto.
27 Distrie ye alle the stronge men therof, go thei doun in to sleynge; wo to hem, for the dai of hem cometh, the tyme of visityng of hem.
27 Matai à espada a todos os seus novilhos, que eles desçam ao degoladouro; ai deles! Porque veio o seu dia, o tempo da sua visitação.
28 The vois of fleeris, and of hem that ascapiden fro the lond of Babiloyne, that thei telle in Sion the veniaunce of oure Lord God, the veniaunce of his temple.
28 Tal é a voz dos que fugiram e escaparam da terra da Babilônia para anunciarem em Sião a vingança do Senhor , nosso Deus, a vingança do seu templo.
29 Telle ye ayens Babiloyne to ful many men, to alle that beenden bowe. Stonde ye togidere ayens it bi cumpas, and noon ascape; yelde ye to it aftir his werk, aftir alle thingis whiche it dide, do ye to it; for it was reisid ayens the Lord, ayens the hooli of Israel.
29 Convocai contra Babilônia os flecheiros, todos os que armam arcos; acampai-vos contra ela em redor, que ninguém escape dela; pagai-lhe conforme a sua obra; conforme tudo o que fez, fazei-lhe; porque se houve arrogantemente contra o Senhor , contra o Santo de Israel.
30 Therfor yonge men therof schulen falle doun in the stretis therof, and alle men werriours therof schulen be stille in that dai, seith the Lord.
30 Portanto, cairão os seus jovens nas suas ruas; e todos os seus homens de guerra serão desarraigados naquele dia, diz o Senhor .
31 Lo! thou proude, Y to thee, seith the Lord God of oostis, for thi dai is comun, the tyme of thi visitacioun.
31 Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó soberbo, diz o Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, porque veio o teu dia, o tempo em que te hei de visitar.
32 And the proude schal falle, and schal falle doun togidere, and noon schal be, that schal reise hym; and Y schal kyndle fier in the citees of hym, and it schal deuoure alle thingis in cumpas of it.
32 Então, tropeçará o soberbo e cairá, e ninguém haverá que o levante; e porei fogo às suas cidades, o qual consumirá todos os seus contornos.
33 The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, The sones of Israel and the sones of Juda togidere suffren fals caleng; alle that token hem, holden, thei nylen delyuere hem.
33 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá foram oprimidos juntamente; todos os que os levaram cativos os retiveram e não os quiseram soltar.
34 The ayenbyere of hem is strong, the Lord of oostis is his name; bi dom he schal defende the cause of hem, that he make the lond aferd, and stire togidere the dwelleris of Babiloyne.
34 Mas o seu Redentor é forte, o Senhor dos Exércitos é o seu nome; certamente, pleiteará a causa deles, para dar descanso à terra e inquietar os moradores da Babilônia.
35 A swerd to Caldeis, seith the Lord, and to the dwelleris of Babiloyne, and to the princes, and to the wise men therof.
35 A espada virá sobre os caldeus, diz o Senhor , e sobre os moradores da Babilônia, e sobre os seus príncipes, e sobre os seus sábios.
36 A swerd to the false dyuynours therof, that schulen be foolis; a swerd to the stronge men therof, that schulen drede.
36 A espada virá sobre os mentirosos, e ficarão insensatos; a espada virá sobre os seus valentes, e desmaiarão.
37 Swerd to the horsis therof, and to the charis therof, and to al the comyn puple whiche is in the myddis therof, and thei schulen be as wymmen; a swerd to the tresours therof, that schulen be rauyschid.
37 A espada virá sobre os seus cavalos, e sobre os seus carros, e sobre todo o povo misto que está no meio dela; e eles serão como mulheres; a espada virá sobre os seus tesouros, e serão saqueados.
38 Drynesse schal be on the watris therof, and tho schulen be drye; for it is the lond of grauun ymagis, and hath glorie in false feynyngis.
38 Cairá a seca sobre as suas águas, e secarão, porque é uma terra de imagens de escultura, e eles, pelos seus ídolos, andam enfurecidos.
39 Therfor dragouns schulen dwelle with fonned wielde men, and ostrigis schulen dwelle therynne; and it schal no more be enhabitid `til in to with outen ende, and it schal not be bildid `til to generacioun and generacioun;
39 Por isso, habitarão nela as feras do deserto, com os animais bravos das ilhas; também habitarão nela os avestruzes; e nunca mais será povoada, nem será habitada de geração em geração.
40 as the Lord distriede Sodom and Gomorre, and the niy citees therof, seith the Lord. A man schal not dwelle there, and the sone of man schal not dwelle in it.
40 Como quando Deus transtornou a Sodoma e a Gomorra e aos seus vizinhos, diz o Senhor , assim ninguém habitará ali, nem morará nela filho de homem.
41 Lo! a puple cometh fro the north, and a greet folc, and many kyngis schulen rise togidere fro the endis of erthe.
41 Eis que um povo vem do Norte, e uma grande nação e reis poderosos se levantarão dos lados mais remotos da terra.
42 Thei schulen take bowe and swerd, thei ben cruel and vnmerciful; the vois of hem schal sowne as the see, and thei schulen stie on horsis as a man maad redi to batel, ayens thee, thou douyter of Babiloyne.
42 Arco e lança tomarão; eles são cruéis e não conhecem a compaixão; a sua voz bramará como o mar, e eles cavalgarão cavalos, como um homem, apercebido para a batalha, contra ti, ó filha da Babilônia.
43 The kyng of Babiloyne herde the fame of hem, and hise hondis ben aclumsid; angwisch took hym, sorewe took hym, as a womman trauelynge of child.
43 O rei da Babilônia ouviu a fama deles, e desfaleceram as suas mãos; angústia se apoderou dele, dores, como da que está de parto.
44 Lo! as a lioun he schal stie fro the pride of Jordan to the stronge fairnesse, for Y schal make hym to renne sudenli to it; and who schal be the chosun man, whom Y schal sette bifore him? For who is lijk me? and who schal suffre me? and who is this scheepherde, that schal ayenstonde my cheer?
44 Eis que um como leão subirá da enchente do Jordão contra a morada forte, mas, num momento, o farei correr dali; e ao escolhido porei contra ela, porque quem é semelhante a mim? E quem me citaria a mim? E quem é o pastor que subsistiria perante mim?
45 Therfore here ye the councel of the Lord, which he conseyuede in mynde ayens Babiloyne, and hise thouytis, whiche he thouyte on the lond of Caldeis, no but the litle of the flockis drawen hem doun, no but the dwellyng place of hem be destried with hem, ellis no man yyue credence to me.
45 Portanto, ouvi o conselho que o Senhor decretou contra Babilônia e os seus desígnios que intentou contra a terra dos caldeus; certamente, os menores do rebanho os arrastarão; certamente, será assolada a morada deles.
46 The erthe is mouyd of the vois of caitiftee of Babiloyne, and cry is herd among hethene men.
46 Ao estrondo da tomada da Babilônia, estremeceu a terra, e o grito se ouviu entre as nações.
