1 These thingis Jhesus spak, and whanne he hadde cast vp hise iyen in to heuene, he seide, Fadir, the our cometh, clarifie thi sone, that thi sone clarifie thee.
1 Depois de dizer isso, Jesus olhou para o céu e orou: "Pai, chegou a hora. Glorifica o teu Filho, para que o teu Filho te glorifique.
2 As thou hast youun to hym power on ech fleisch, that al thing that thou hast youun to hym, he yyue to hem euerlastynge lijf.
2 Pois lhe deste autoridade sobre toda a humanidade, para que conceda a vida eterna a todos os que lhe deste.
3 And this is euerlastynge lijf, that thei knowe thee very God aloone, and whom thou hast sent, Jhesu Crist.
3 Esta é a vida eterna: que te conheçam, o único Deus verdadeiro, e a Jesus Cristo, a quem enviaste.
4 Y haue clarified thee on the erthe, Y haue endid the werk, that thou hast youun to me to do.
4 Eu te glorifiquei na terra, completando a obra que me deste para fazer.
5 And now, fadir, clarifie thou me at thi silf, with the clerenesse that Y hadde at thee, bifor the world was maad.
5 E agora, Pai, glorifica-me junto a ti, com a glória que eu tinha contigo antes que o mundo existisse.
6 Y haue schewid thi name to tho men, whiche thou hast youun to me of the world; thei weren thine, and thou hast youun hem to me, and thei han kept thi word.
6 "Eu revelei teu nome àqueles que do mundo me deste. Eles eram teus; tu os deste a mim, e eles têm guardado a tua palavra.
7 And now thei han knowun, that alle thingis that thou hast youun to me, ben of thee.
7 Agora eles sabem que tudo o que me deste vem de ti.
8 For the wordis that thou hast youun to me, Y yaf to hem; and thei han takun, and han knowun verili, that Y wente out fro thee; and thei bileueden, that thou sentist me.
8 Pois eu lhes transmiti as palavras que me deste, e eles as aceitaram. Eles reconheceram de fato que vim de ti e creram que me enviaste.
9 Y preie for hem, Y preye not for the world, but for hem that thou hast youun to me, for thei ben thine.
9 Eu rogo por eles. Não estou rogando pelo mundo, mas por aqueles que me deste, pois são teus.
10 And alle my thingis ben thine, and thi thingis ben myne; and Y am clarified in hem.
10 Tudo o que tenho é teu, e tudo o que tens é meu. E eu tenho sido glorificado por meio deles.
11 And now Y am not in the world, and these ben in the world, and Y come to thee. Hooli fadir, kepe hem in thi name, whiche thou yauest to me, that thei ben oon, as we ben.
11 Não ficarei mais no mundo, mas eles ainda estão no mundo, e eu vou para ti. Pai santo, protege-os em teu nome, o nome que me deste, para que sejam um, assim como somos um.
12 While Y was with hem, Y kepte hem in thi name; thilke that thou yauest to me, Y kepte, and noon of hem perischide, but the sone of perdicioun, that the scripture be fulfillid.
12 Enquanto estava com eles, eu os protegi e os guardei pelo nome que me deste. Nenhum deles se perdeu, a não ser aquele que estava destinado à perdição, para que se cumprisse a Escritura.
13 But now Y come to thee, and Y speke these thingis in the world, that thei haue my ioie fulfillid in hem silf.
13 "Agora vou para ti, mas digo estas coisas enquanto ainda estou no mundo, para que eles tenham a plenitude da minha alegria.
14 Y yaf to hem thi word, and the world hadde hem in hate; for thei ben not of the world, as Y am not of the world.
14 Dei-lhes a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, pois eles não são do mundo, como eu também não sou.
15 Y preye not, that thou take hem awei fro the world, but that thou kepe hem fro yuel.
15 Não rogo que os tires do mundo, mas que os protejas do Maligno.
16 They ben not of the world, as Y am not of the world.
16 Eles não são do mundo, como eu também não sou.
17 Halewe thou hem in treuth; thi word is treuthe.
17 Santifica-os na verdade; a tua palavra é a verdade.
18 As thou sentist me in to the world, also Y sente hem `in to the world.
18 Assim como me enviaste ao mundo, eu os enviei ao mundo.
19 And Y halewe my silf for hem, that also thei ben halewid in treuthe.
19 Em favor deles eu me santifico, para que também eles sejam santificados pela verdade.
20 And Y preye not oneli for hem, but also for hem that schulden bileue in to me bi the word of hem;
20 "Minha oração não é apenas por eles. Rogo também por aqueles que crerão em mim, por meio da mensagem deles,
21 that all ben oon, as thou, fadir, in me, and Y in thee, that also thei in vs be oon; that the world bileue, that thou hast sent me.
21 para que todos sejam um, Pai, como tu estás em mim e eu em ti. Que eles também estejam em nós, para que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste.
22 And Y haue youun to hem the clerenesse, that thou hast youun to me, that thei ben oon,
22 Dei-lhes a glória que me deste, para que eles sejam um, assim como nós somos um:
23 as we ben oon; Y in hem, and thou in me, that thei be endid in to oon; and that the world knowe, that thou sentist me, and hast loued hem, as thou hast loued also me.
23 eu neles e tu em mim. Que eles sejam levados à plena unidade, para que o mundo saiba que tu me enviaste, e os amaste como igualmente me amaste.
24 Fadir, thei whiche thou yauest to me, Y wole that where Y am, that thei be with me, that thei see my clerenesse, that thou hast youun to me; for thou louedist me bifor the makyng of the world.
24 "Pai, quero que os que me deste estejam comigo onde eu estou e vejam a minha glória, a glória que me deste porque me amaste antes da criação do mundo.
25 Fadir, riytfuli the world knew thee not, but Y knew thee, and these knewen, that thou sentist me.
25 "Pai justo, embora o mundo não te conheça, eu te conheço, e estes sabem que me enviaste.
26 And Y haue maad thi name knowun to hem, and schal make knowun; that the loue bi which thou `hast loued me, be in hem, and Y in hem.
26 Eu os fiz conhecer o teu nome, e continuarei a fazê-lo, a fim de que o amor que tens por mim esteja neles, e eu neles esteja".
