1 Thou bareyn, that childist not, herie; thou that childist not, synge heriyng, and make ioie; for whi many sones ben of the forsakun `womman more than of hir that hadde hosebonde, seith the Lord.
1 Canta, ó estéril, tu que não deste à luz. Irrompa em canto e clama em alta voz, tu que não entraste em trabalho de parto, porque mais são os filhos da desolada do que os filhos da mulher casada, diz o SENHOR.
2 Alarge thou the place of thi tente, and stretche forth the skynnes of thi tabernaclis; spare thou not, make longe thi roopis, and make sad thi nailis.
2 Amplia o lugar de tua tenda e permita-os estender as cortinas de tuas habitações. Não faça de forma restrita, alonga tuas cordas e fortalece tuas estacas.
3 For thou schalt perse to the riytside and to the leftside; and thi seed schal enherite hethene men, and schal dwelle in forsakun citees.
3 Porquanto, tu transbordarás para a direita e para a esquerda, e tua descendência herdará as nações e fará as cidades desoladas serem habitadas.
4 Nile thou drede, for thou schal not be schent, nether thou schalt be aschamed. For it schal not schame thee; for thou schalt foryete the schenschipe of thi yongthe, and thou schalt no more thenke on the schenschipe of thi widewehod.
4 Não temas, porque tu não serás envergonhada. Nem tu serás confundida, porque tu não serás envergonhada. Porquanto, tu esquecerás a vergonha de tua mocidade e não lembrarás nunca mais a desonra de tua viuvez.
5 For he that made thee, schal be lord of thee; the Lord of oostis is his name; and thin ayenbiere, the hooli of Israel, schal be clepid God of al erthe.
5 Porque teu Criador é teu marido. O SENHOR dos Exércitos é seu nome, e teu Redentor o Santo de Israel. O Deus de toda a terra será Ele denominado.
6 For the Lord hath clepid thee as a womman forsakun and morenynge in spirit, and a wijf, `that is cast awei fro yongthe.
6 Porque o SENHOR tem te chamado como uma mulher abandonada e aflita em Espírito, e uma esposa da mocidade, quando foi rejeitada, diz teu Deus.
7 Thi Lord God seide, At a poynt in litil tyme Y forsook thee, and Y schal gadere thee togidere in greete merciful doyngis.
7 Durante um pequeno momento tenho eu te abandonado, porém, com grandes misericórdias eu te recolherei.
8 In a moment of indignacioun Y hidde my face a litil fro thee, and in merci euerlastynge Y hadde merci on thee, seide thin ayenbiere, the Lord.
8 Em um ímpeto de ira eu escondi minha face de ti, durante um momento, porém, com eterna bondade terei eu misericórdia de ti, diz o SENHOR, teu Redentor.
9 As in the daies of Noe, this thing is to me, to whom Y swoor, that Y schulde no more bringe watris of the greet flood on the erthe; so Y swoor, that Y be no more wrooth to thee, and that Y blame not thee.
9 Porque isto é como as águas de Noé para mim. Porque como eu tenho jurado que as águas de Noé nunca mais deveriam se estender por sobre a terra, então tenho eu jurado que eu não estaria furioso contigo, nem te repreenderia.
10 Forsothe hillis schulen be mouyd togidere, and litle hillis schulen tremble togidere; but my merci schal not go a wei fro thee, and the boond of my pees schal not be mouyd, seide the merciful doere, the Lord.
10 Porque os montes desaparecerão e as colinas serão removidas, contudo, minha bondade não se afastará de ti, nem o pacto da minha paz será removida, diz o SENHOR, que tem misericórdia de ti.
11 Thou litle and pore, drawun out bi tempest, with outen ony coumfort, lo! Y schal strewe thi stoonys bi ordre, and Y schal founde thee in safiris;
11 Ó tu, afligida, arrojada com tempestade e não consolada. Eis que tuas pedras com belas cores eu irei colocar, e porei teus alicerces com safiras.
12 and Y schal sette iaspis thi touris, and thi yatis in to grauun stoonys, and alle thin eendis in to desirable stoonys.
12 E farei tuas janelas de ágata, e teus portões de carbúnculos, e todos os teus limites de agradáveis pedras.
13 `Y schal make alle thi sones tauyt of the Lord; and the multitude of pees to thi sones,
13 E todos teus filhos serão discípulos do SENHOR, e grande será a paz de teus filhos.
14 and thou schalt be foundid in riytfulnesse. Go thou awei fer fro fals caleng, for thou schalt not drede; and fro drede, for it schal not neiye to thee.
14 Em justiça tu serás estabelecida. Tu estarás longe da opressão, pois tu não temerás. E longe do terror, porquanto ele não se aproximará de ti.
15 Lo! a straunger schal come, that was not with me; he, that was sum tyme thi comelyng, schal be ioyned to thee.
15 Eis que eles certamente conspirarão, porém, sem mim. Quem quer que se reunir contra ti cairá, por amor a ti.
16 Lo! Y made a smyth blowynge coolis in fier, and bringynge forth a vessel in to his werk; and Y haue maad a sleere, for to leese.
16 Eis que eu tenho criado o ferreiro, que aviva as brasas no fogo e que produz ferramenta para o trabalho dele, e eu tenho criado o devastador para destruir.
17 Ech vessel which is maad ayens thee, schal not be dressid; and in the doom thou schalt deme ech tunge ayenstondynge thee. This is the eritage of the seruauntis of the Lord, and the riytfulnesse of hem at me, seith the Lord.
17 Nenhuma arma que é forjada contra ti prosperará, e toda língua que vier a se levantar contra ti em juízo tu condenarás. Esta é a herança dos servos do SENHOR, e a justiça deles é proveniente de mim, diz o SENHOR.
