1 Wo to the coroun of pride, to the drunkun men of Effraym, and to the flour fallynge doun of the glorie of the ful out ioiyng therof, that weren in the cop of the fatteste valei, and erriden of wyn.
1 Ai da coroa de orgulho, para os bêbados de Efraim, cuja beleza gloriosa é uma flor que murcha, a qual está na cabeça dos vales férteis daqueles que são dominados pelo vinho!
2 Lo! the myyti and strong Lord, as the feersnesse of hail, a whirlwynd brekynge togidere, as the fersnesse of many watris flowynge, and sent out on a large lond.
2 Eis que o Senhor tem alguém poderoso e forte, o qual como uma tempestade de granizo e um temporal destruidor, como uma inundação de poderosas águas transbordantes, arremessará para a terra com a mão.
3 The coroun of pride of the drunken men of Effraym schal be defoulid with feet,
3 A coroa de orgulho, os bêbados de Efraim, serão pisados sob os pés.
4 and the flour of glorie of the ful out ioiyng of hym, that is on the cop of valei of fat thingis, schal be fallyng doun, as a tymeli thing bifore the ripenesse of heruest; which whanne a man seynge biholdith, anoon as he takith with hond, he schal deuoure it.
4 E a beleza gloriosa, a qual está ao longo da cabeça do vale fértil, será uma flor murcha. E como a fruta temporã antes do verão, a qual quando aquele que a olha a vê, enquanto ainda está em sua mão, a devora.
5 In that dai the Lord of oostis schal be a coroun of glorie, and a garlond of ful out ioiyng, to the residue of his puple;
5 Naquele dia o SENHOR dos Exércitos será por uma coroa de glória e por um diadema de beleza para o remanescente de seu povo.
6 and a spirit of doom to hym that sittith on the trone, and strengthe to hem that turnen ayen fro batel to the yate.
6 E por um espírito de julgamento para aquele que se assenta em juízo, e por força para aqueles que rechaçam a batalha para o portão.
7 But also thei knewen not for wyn, and erriden for drunkenesse; the preest and profete knewen not for drunkenesse; thei weren sopun up of wyn, thei erriden in drunkenesse; thei knewen not a profete, thei knewen not doom.
7 Porém, eles também têm errado por causa do vinho, e através da bebida forte estão fora do caminho. O sacerdote e o profeta têm errado através da bebida forte, eles estão imersos no vinho, eles estão fora do caminho por causa da bebida forte. Eles erram na visão, eles tropeçam no julgamento.
8 For whi alle bordis weren fillid with spuyng and filthis, so that ther was no more place.
8 Porque todas as mesas estão repletas de vômito e imundície, tanto que não há mais nenhum lugar limpo.
9 Whom schal he teche kunnyng, and whom schal he make to vndurstonde heryng? Men wenyd fro mylk, men drawun awei fro tetis.
9 A quem ele ensinará conhecimento? E a quem ele fará compreender doutrina? Àqueles que são desmamados e retirados dos seios.
10 For whi comaunde thou, comaunde thou ayen; comaunde thou, comaunde thou ayen; abide thou, abide thou ayen; abide thou, abide thou ayen; a litil there, a litil there.
10 Porque preceito precisa ser sobre preceito, preceito sobre preceito; linha sobre linha, linha sobre linha, aqui um pouco, e lá um pouco.
11 For whi in speche of lippe, and in other langage he schal speke to this puple,
11 Porque com lábios que gaguejam e outra língua ele falará a este povo.
12 to which he seide, This is my reste; refreische ye a weri man, and this is my refreischyng; and thei nolden here.
12 A quem ele disse: Este é o repouso por meio do qual vós podeis fazer o cansado descansar e este é o agradavelmente novo, ainda assim eles não ouviriam.
13 And the word of the Lord schal be to hem, Sende thou, sende thou ayen; send thou, sende thou ayen; abide thou, abide thou ayen; abide thou, abide thou ayen; a litil there, a litil there; that thei go, and falle backward, and be al to-brokun, and be snarid, and be takun.
13 Porém, a palavra do SENHOR foi para eles preceito sobre preceito, mandato sobre mandato; regra sobre regra, linha sobre linha; aqui um pouco e lá um pouco, para que eles possam ir, e cair para trás, e ser quebrados, e enlaçados e capturados.
14 For this thing, ye men scorneris, that ben lordis ouer my puple which is in Jerusalem, here the word of the Lord.
14 Por conseguinte, ouvi a palavra do SENHOR, vós homens que desdenham, que governam este povo, o qual está em Jerusalém.
15 For ye seiden, We han smyte a boond of pees with deth, and we han maad couenaunt with helle; a scourge flowynge whanne it schal passe, schal not come on vs, for we han set a leesyng oure hope, and we ben kyuered with a leesyng.
15 Porquanto, vós tendes dito: Nós temos feito um pacto com a morte, e com o inferno estamos de acordo; quando o transbordante flagelo vier atravessar, ele não chegará até nós, porquanto nós temos feito das mentiras nosso refúgio e sob a falsidade temos nos escondido.
16 Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal sende in the foundementis of Sion a corner stoon preciouse, preuyd, foundid in the foundement; he that bileueth, schal not haaste.
16 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que eu ponho em Sião por alicerce uma pedra, uma pedra à toda prova, uma preciosa pedra de esquina, um alicerce inabalável. Aquele que crer não se apressará.
17 And Y schal sette doom in weiyte, and riytfulnesse in mesure; and hail schal distrie the hope of leesyng, and watris schulen flowe on proteccioun. And youre boond of pees with deth schal be don awei,
17 Também porei o juízo por linha e a justiça por prumo. E o granizo eliminará completamente o refúgio das mentiras, e as águas transbordarão o lugar de esconderijo.
18 and youre couenaunt with helle schal not stonde; whanne the scourge flowynge schal passe, ye schulen be to it in to defoulyng.
18 E seu pacto com a morte será anulado e seu acordo com o inferno não prevalecerá; quando o transbordante flagelo passar, então vós sereis pisoteados por ele.
19 Whanne euer it schal passe, it schal take awei yow; for whi erli in the grey morewtid it schal passe, in dai and niyt; and oonli trauel aloone schal yyue vndurstondyng to heryng.
19 Desde o momento em que isto passar, vos arrebatará. Pois estender-se-á de manhã a manhã, pelo dia e pela noite, e isto será um aborrecimento só o compreender a notícia.
20 Forsothe the bed is streit, so that the tother falle doun; and a schort mentil schal not hile euer either.
20 Porque a cama é mais curta do que um homem é capaz de se esticar sobre ela. E a coberta mais estreita do que o necessário para ele envolver-se nela.
21 For as in the hil of departyngis the Lord schal stonde, as in the valei, which is in Gabaon, he schal be wroth, that he do his werk; his werk alien, that he worche his werk; his werk is straunge fro hym.
21 Porque o SENHOR levantar-se-á como no monte Perazim. Ele estará furioso como no vale de Gibeão, para que ele possa fazer sua obra, sua estranha obra, e fará acontecer seu ato, seu estranho ato.
22 And now nyle ye scorne, lest perauenture youre boondis be maad streit togidere; for Y herde of the Lord God of oostis, endyng and abreggyng on al erthe.
22 Agora, portanto, não sejais vós zombadores, por medo de que seus grilhões se tornem fortes. Porque eu tenho ouvido da parte do Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos uma destruição, determinada sobre a terra toda.
23 Perseyue ye with eeris, and here ye my vois; perseyue ye, and here ye my speche.
23 Dai vós ouvidos e ouvi minha voz. Escutai e ouvi meu discurso.
24 Whether he that erith, schal ere al dai, for to sowe, and schal be kerue, and purge his londe?
24 O fazendeiro ara o dia todo para semear? Ele abre e quebra os torrões de seu terreno?
25 Whether whanne he hath maad euene the face therof, schal he not sowe gith, and sprenge abrood comyn? and he schal not sette wheete bi ordre, and barli, and mylium, and fetchis in his coostis?
25 Quando ele tem feito plana a face daquele lugar não lança ele sobre uma ampla área o endro, e espalha o cominho, e lança na área principal trigo, e a cevada selecionada e o centeio no seu devido lugar?
26 And his God schal teche hym, in doom he schal teche hym.
26 Porque seu Deus o instrui para discernir e o ensina.
27 Forsothe gith schal not be threischid in sawis, and a wheel of a wayn schal not cumpasse on comyn; but gith schal be betun out with a yerd, and comyn with a staf.
27 Pois o endro não é debulhado com um instrumento para debulhar, nem uma roda de carroça é movida sobre o cominho. Porém, o endro é debulhado com um bastão e o cominho com uma vara.
28 Sotheli breed schal be maad lesse, but he that threischith schal not threische it with outen ende, nether schal trauele it with a wheel of a wayn, nether schal make it lesse with hise clees.
28 O grão usado para fazer pão é esmagado, pois ele não estará sempre o debulhando, nem o esmiúça com a roda de sua carroça nem o esmaga com seus cavaleiros.
29 And this thing yede out of the Lord God of oostis, that he schulde make wondirful councel, and magnefie riytfulnesse.
29 Isto também vem do SENHOR dos Exércitos o qual é maravilhoso em aconselhar e excelente em trabalhar.
