1 The hond of the Lord was maad on me, and ledde me out in the spirit of the Lord; and he lefte me in the myddis of a feeld that was ful of boonys;
1 Eu senti a presença poderosa do Senhor , e o seu Espírito me levou e me pôs no meio de um vale onde a terra estava coberta de ossos.
2 and he ledde me aboute bi tho in cumpas. Forsothe tho weren ful manye on the face of the feeld, and drie greetli.
2 Ele me levou para dar uma volta por todos os lugares do vale, e eu pude ver que havia muitos ossos, muitos mesmo, e estavam completamente secos.
3 And he seide to me, Gessist thou, sone of man, whether these boonys schulen lyue? And Y seide, Lord God, thou wost.
3 Então o Senhor me disse: — Eu respondi: —
4 And he seide to me, Profesie thou of these boonys; and thou schalt seie to tho, Ye drie boonys, here the word of the Lord.
4 Ele disse: —
5 The Lord God seith these thingis to these boonys, Lo! Y schal sende in to you a spirit, and ye schulen lyue.
5 Diga que eu, o Senhor Deus, estou lhes dizendo isto: “Eu porei respiração dentro de vocês e os farei viver de novo.
6 And Y schal yyue synewis on you, and Y schal make fleischis to wexe on you, and Y schal stretche forth aboue a skyn in you, and Y schal yyue a spirit to you, and ye schulen lyue; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
6 Eu lhes darei tendões e músculos e os cobrirei de pele. Porei respiração dentro de vocês e os farei viver de novo. Aí vocês ficarão sabendo que eu sou o Senhor .”
7 And Y profesiede, as he comaundide to me; forsothe a sown was maad, while Y profesiede, and lo! a stiryng togidere, and boonys camen to boonys, ech to his ioynture.
7 Então profetizei conforme a ordem que eu havia recebido. Enquanto eu falava, ouvi um barulho. Eram os ossos se ajuntando uns com os outros, cada um no seu próprio lugar.
8 And Y siy and lo! synewis and fleischis `wexeden vpon tho, and skyn was stretchid forth aboue in hem, and tho hadden no spirit.
8 Enquanto eu olhava, os ossos se cobriram de tendões e músculos e depois de pele. Porém não havia respiração nos corpos.
9 And he seide to me, Profesie thou to the spirit, profesie thou, sone of man; and thou schalt seie to the spirit, The Lord God seith these thingis, Come, thou spirit, fro foure wyndis, and blowe thou on these slayn men, and lyue thei ayen.
9 Então o Senhor me disse: — Homem mortal, profetize para o vento . Diga que o
10 And Y profesiede, as he comaundide to me; and the spirit entride in to tho boonys, and thei lyueden, and stoden on her feet, a ful greet oost.
10 Então profetizei conforme a ordem que eu havia recebido. A respiração entrou nos corpos, e eles viveram de novo e ficaram de pé. Havia tanta gente, que dava para formar um enorme exército.
11 And the Lord seide to me, Thou sone of man, alle these boonys is the hous of Israel; thei seien, Oure boonys drieden, and oure hope perischide, and we ben kit awei.
11 O Senhor me disse: — Homem mortal, o povo de Israel é como esses ossos. Dizem que estão secos, sem esperança e sem futuro.
12 Therfor profesie thou, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal opene youre graues, and Y schal lede you out of youre sepulcris, my puple, and Y schal lede you in to youre lond Israel.
12 Por isso, profetize para o meu povo de Israel e diga-lhes que eu, o Senhor Deus, abrirei as sepulturas deles, e os tirarei para fora, e os levarei de volta para a terra de Israel.
13 And ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal opene youre sepulcris, and schal lede you out of youre biriels, my puple;
13 Eu vou abrir os túmulos onde o meu povo está sepultado e vou tirá-los para fora; aí ficarão sabendo que eu sou o Senhor .
14 and Y schal yyue my spirit in you, and ye schulen lyue. And Y schal make you for to reste on youre lond; and ye schulen wite, that Y the Lord spak, and dide, seith the Lord God.
14 Porei a minha respiração neles, e os farei viver novamente, e os deixarei morar na sua própria terra. Aí ficarão sabendo que eu sou o Senhor . Prometi que faria isso e farei. Eu, o Senhor , falei.
15 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
15 O Senhor falou outra vez comigo. Ele disse:
16 and he seide, And thou, sone of man, take to thee o tree, and write thou on it, To Juda, and to the sones of Israel, and to hise felowis. And take thou an other tree, and write on it, Joseph, the tree of Effraym, and of al the hous of Israel, and of hise felowis.
16 — Homem mortal , pegue uma tabuinha e escreva nela o seguinte: “O Reino de Judá, incluindo as pessoas do Reino de Israel que moram nele.” Depois, pegue outra tabuinha e escreva: “O Reino de Israel, representado pela tribo de Efraim e incluindo todos os outros israelitas que moram nele.”
17 And ioyne thou tho trees oon to the tother in to o tree to thee; and tho schulen be in to onement in thin hond.
17 Então segure as duas tabuinhas juntas na sua mão de modo que pareçam uma só.
18 Sotheli whanne the sones of thi puple that speken, schulen seie to thee, Whether thou schewist not to vs, what thou wolt to thee in these thingis?
18 Quando o seu povo perguntar o que isso quer dizer,
19 thou schalt speke to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal take the tree of Joseph, which is in the hond of Effraym, and the lynagis of Israel, that ben ioyned to hym, and Y schal yyue hem togidere with the tree of Juda; and Y schal make hem in to o tree, and thei schulen be oon in the hond of hym.
19 diga que eu, o Senhor Deus, pegarei a tabuinha que representa Israel e a colocarei junto com a que representa Judá. Das duas tabuinhas farei uma só e a segurarei na minha mão.
20 Sotheli the trees, on whiche thou hast write, schulen be in thin hond bifore the iyen of hem.
20 — Segure na mão as tabuinhas em que você escreveu e deixe que o povo as veja.
21 And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal take the sones of Israel fro the myddis of naciouns, to whiche thei yeden forth; and Y schal gadere hem togidere on ech side. And Y schal brynge hem to her lond,
21 Então diga-lhes que eu, o Senhor Deus, tirarei os israelitas do meio das nações para onde foram. Eu os ajuntarei e os levarei de volta à sua própria terra.
22 and Y schal make hem o folc in the lond, in the hillis of Israel, and o kyng schal be comaundynge to alle: and thei schulen no more be twei folkis, and thei schulen no more be departid in to twey rewmes.
22 Farei deles uma só nação na sua terra, nas montanhas de Israel. Eles terão um só rei para governá-los e não serão mais divididos em duas nações, nem separados em dois reinos.
23 And thei schulen no more be defoulid in her idols, and her abhomynaciouns, and in alle her wickidnessis. And Y schal make hem saaf fro alle her seetis, in which thei synneden, and Y schal clense hem; and thei schulen be a puple to me, and Y schal be God to hem.
23 Não se mancharão mais com ídolos, nem com ações nojentas, nem com pecados de desobediência. Eu os livrarei de todas as suas maneiras de pecar e de me trair. Eu os purificarei, e eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
24 And my seruaunt Dauid schal be kyng on hem, and o scheepherde schal be of alle hem; thei schulen go in my domes, and thei schulen kepe my comaundementis, and schulen do tho.
24 Um rei igual ao meu servo Davi os governará. Todos terão um só governador e obedecerão fielmente às minhas leis .
25 And thei schulen dwelle on the lond, which Y yaf to my seruaunt Jacob, in which youre fadris dwelliden; and thei schulen dwelle on that lond, thei, and the sones of hem, and the sones of her sones, til in to with outen ende; and Dauid, my seruaunt, schal be the prince of hem with outen ende.
25 Viverão na terra que dei ao meu servo Jacó, a terra em que os antepassados deles viveram. Viverão ali para sempre, eles, os seus filhos e todos os seus descendentes. Um rei igual ao meu servo Davi os governará para sempre.
26 And Y schal smyte to hem a boond of pees; it schal be a couenaunt euerlastynge to hem, and Y schal founde hem, and Y schal multiplie, and Y schal yyue myn halewing in the myddis of hem with outen ende.
26 Farei com eles uma aliança que garantirá que viverão para sempre em segurança. Aumentarei a população e porei o meu Templo na terra deles, e ali ficará para sempre.
27 And my tabernacle schal be among hem, and Y schal be God to hem, and thei schulen be a puple to me.
27 Viverei ali com eles e serei o Deus deles, e eles serão o meu povo.
28 And hethene men schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, halewere of Israel, whanne myn halewyng schal be in the myddis of hem with outen ende.
28 Quando eu puser o meu Templo ali, para eu ficar no meio deles, as nações ficarão sabendo que eu, o Senhor , separei o povo de Israel para ser meu.
