1 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
1 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:
2 and he seide, Sone of man, seie thou to the prince of Tire, The Lord God seith these thingis, For thin herte was reisid, and thou seidist, Y am God, and Y sat in the chaier of God, in the herte of the see, sithen thou art man and not God, and thou yauest thin herte as the herte of God; lo!
2 "Filho do homem, diga ao governante de Tiro: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘No orgulho do seu coração você diz: "Sou um deus; sento-me no trono de um deus no coração dos mares". Mas você é um homem, e não um deus, embora se ache tão sábio quanto um deus.
3 thou art wisere than Danyel, ech priuetee is not hid fro thee;
3 Você é mais sábio que Daniel? Não haverá segredo que lhe seja oculto?
4 in thi wisdom and prudence thou madist to thee strengthe, and thou gatist to thee gold and siluer in thi tresouris;
4 Mediante a sua sabedoria e o seu entendimento, você granjeou riquezas e acumulou ouro e prata em seus tesouros.
5 in the multitude of thi wisdom, and in thi marchaundie thou multipliedist to thee strengthe, and thin herte was reisid in thi strengthe;
5 Pela sua grande habilidade comercial você aumentou as suas riquezas, e, por causa das suas riquezas, o seu coração ficou cada vez mais orgulhoso.
6 therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, For thin herte was reisid as the herte of God, therfor lo!
6 " ‘Por isso, assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Porque você pensa que é sábio, tão sábio quanto um deus,
7 Y schal brynge on thee aliens, the strongeste of hethene. And thei schulen make nakid her swerdis on the fairnesse of thi wisdom, and thei schulen defoule thi fairnesse.
7 trarei estrangeiros contra você, das mais impiedosas nações; eles empunharão suas espadas contra a sua beleza e a sua sabedoria e traspassarão o seu esplendor fulgurante.
8 Thei schulen sle, and drawe doun thee; and thou schalt die bi the deth of vncircumcidid men, in the herte of the see.
8 Eles o farão descer à cova, e você terá morte violenta no coração dos mares.
9 Whether thou schalt seie, and speke, Y am God, bifore hem that sleen thee; sithen thou art a man, and not God?
9 Será que então você dirá: "Eu sou um deus" na presença daqueles que o matarem? Você será tão-somente um homem, e não um deus, nas mãos daqueles que o abaterem.
10 In the hond of hem that sleen thee, bi deth of vncircumcidid men, thou schalt die in the hond of aliens; for Y the Lord spak, seith the Lord God.
10 Você terá a morte dos incircuncisos nas mãos de estrangeiros. Eu falei; palavra do Soberano Senhor’ ".
11 And the word of the Lord was maad to me, and he seide, Thou, sone of man, reise thou weilyng on the kyng of Tire;
11 Esta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:
12 and thou schalt seie to hym, The Lord God seith these thingis, Thou a preente of licnesse, ful of wisdom, perfit in fairnesse,
12 "Filho do homem, erga um lamento a respeito do rei de Tiro e diga-lhe: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Você era o modelo de perfeição, cheio de sabedoria e de perfeita beleza.
13 were in delicis of paradijs of God. Ech preciouse stoon was thin hilyng, sardius, topacius, and iaspis, crisolitus, and onix, and birille, safire, and carbuncle, and smaragde; also gold was the werk of thi fairnesse, and thin hoolis weren maad redi, in the dai in which thou were maad.
13 Você estava no Éden, no jardim de Deus; todas as pedras preciosas o enfeitavam: sárdio, topázio e diamante, berilo, ônix e jaspe, safira, carbúnculo e esmeralda. Seus engastes e guarnições eram feitos de ouro; tudo foi preparado no dia em que você foi criado.
14 Thou were cherub holdun forth, and hilynge; and Y settide thee in the hooli hil of God. In the myddis of stoonus set a fier thou yedist,
14 Você foi ungido como um querubim guardião, pois para isso eu o determinei. Você estava no monte santo de Deus e caminhava entre as pedras fulgurantes.
15 perfit in thi weies fro the dai of thi makyng, til wickidnesse was foundun in thee.
15 Você era inculpável em seus caminhos desde o dia em que foi criado até que se achou maldade em você.
16 In the multitude of thi marchaundie thin ynnere thingis weren fillid of wickidnesse, and thou didist synne; and Y castide thee out of the hil of God, and, thou cherub hilynge fer, Y loste thee fro the myddis of stoonys set a fier.
16 Por meio do seu amplo comércio, você encheu-se de violência e pecou. Por isso eu o lancei em desgraça para longe do monte de Deus, e eu o expulsei, ó querubim guardião, do meio das pedras fulgurantes.
17 And thin herte was reisid in thi fairnesse, thou lostist thi wisdom in thi fairnesse. Y castide thee doun in to erthe, Y yaf thee bifore the face of kingis, that thei schulden se thee.
17 Seu coração tornou-se orgulhoso por causa da sua beleza, e você corrompeu a sua sabedoria por causa do seu esplendor. Por isso eu o atirei à terra; fiz de você um espetáculo para os reis.
18 In the multitude of thi wickidnessis, and in wickidnesse of thi marchaundie thou defoulidist thin halewyng; therfor Y schal brynge forth fier of the myddis of thee, that schal ete thee; and Y schal yyue thee in to aische on erthe, in the siyt of alle men seynge thee.
18 Por meio dos seus muitos pecados e do seu comércio desonesto você profanou os seus santuários. Por isso fiz sair de você um fogo, que o consumiu, e eu reduzi você a cinzas no chão, à vista de todos os que estavam observando.
19 Alle men that schulen se thee among hethene men, schulen be astonyed on thee; thou art maad nouyt, and thou schalt not be with outen ende.
19 Todas as nações que o conheciam ficaram chocadas ao vê-la; chegou o seu terrível fim, você não mais existirá’ ".
20 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
20 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:
21 and he seide, Thou, sone of man, sette thi face ayens Sidon, and thou schalt profesie of it;
21 "Filho do homem, vire o rosto contra Sidom; profetize contra ela
22 and schalt seie, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y to thee, Sidon, and Y schal be glorified in the myddis of thee; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal do domes in it, and Y schal be halewid ther ynne.
22 e diga: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Estou contra você, Sidom, e manifestarei a minha glória dentro de você. Todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu castigá-lo e mostrar-me santo em seu meio.
23 And Y schal sende pestilence in to it, and blood in the stretis therof, and slayn men bi swerd schulen falle doun in the myddis therof bi cumpas; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God.
23 Enviarei uma peste sobre você e farei sangue correr em suas ruas. Os mortos cairão pela espada que a ataca por todos os lados. E todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
24 And there schal no more be an hirtyng of bitternesse to the hous of Israel, and a thorn bryngynge in sorewe on ech side bi the cumpas of hem that ben aduersaries to hem; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God.
24 " ‘Israel não terá mais vizinhos maldosos agindo como roseiras bravas dolorosas e espinhos pontudos. Pois eles saberão que eu sou o Soberano Senhor.
25 The Lord God seith these thingis, Whanne Y schal gadere togidere the hous of Israel fro puplis, among whiche thei ben scaterid, Y schal be halewid in hem bifor hethene men. And thei schulen dwelle in her lond, which Y yaf to my seruaunt Jacob.
25 " ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Quando eu reunir Israel de entre as nações nas quais foi espalhado, eu me mostrarei santo entre eles à vista das nações. Então eles viverão em sua própria terra, a qual dei ao meu servo Jacó.
26 And thei schulen dwelle sikir ther ynne, and thei schulen bilde housis, and thei schulen plaunte vynes, and thei schulen dwelle tristili, whanne Y schal make domes in alle men that ben aduersaries to hem bi cumpas; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God of hem.
26 Eles viverão ali em segurança, construirão casas e plantarão vinhas; viverão em segurança quando eu castigar todos os seus vizinhos que lhes fizeram mal. Então eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor, o seu Deus’ ".
