1 Forsothe Moises kepte the scheep of Jetro, `his wyues fadir, preest of Madian; and whanne he hadde dryue the floc to the ynnere partis of deseert, he cam to Oreb, the hil of God.
1 Ora, Moisés estava apascentando o rebanho de Jetro, seu sogro, o sacerdote de Midiã. E ele conduziu o rebanho para trás do deserto, e chegou ao monte de Deus, até o Horebe.
2 Forsothe the Lord apperide to hym in the flawme of fier fro the myddis of the buysch, and he seiy that the buysch brente, and was not forbrent.
2 E o anjo do SENHOR lhe apareceu em uma chama de fogo do meio de uma sarça. E ele olhou, e eis que, a sarça queimava com fogo, e a sarça não era consumida.
3 Therfor Moyses seide, Y schal go and schal se this greet siyt, whi the buysch is not forbrent.
3 E Moisés disse: Eu vou virar agora de lado, e verei essa grande visão, porque a sarça não é queimada.
4 Sotheli the Lord seiy that Moises yede to se, and he clepide Moises fro the myddis of the buysch, and seide, Moyses! Moises! Which answeride, Y am present.
4 E quando o SENHOR viu que ele se virara para ver, Deus o chamou do meio da sarça e disse: Moisés, Moisés. E ele disse: Aqui estou.
5 And the Lord seide, Neiye thou not hidur, but vnbynde thou the scho of thi feet, for the place in which thou stondist is hooli lond.
5 E ele disse: Não te aproximes até aqui. Tira tuas sandálias dos teus pés, porque o lugar em que estás é terra santa.
6 And the Lord seide, Y am God of thi fadir, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob. Moises hidde his face, for he durste not biholde ayens God.
6 Além disso, ele disse: Eu sou o Deus de teu pai, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó. E Moisés escondeu a sua face, pois estava com medo de olhar para Deus.
7 To whom the Lord seide, Y seiy the affliccion of my puple in Egipt, and Y herde the cry therof, for the hardnesse of hem that ben souereyns of werkis.
7 E o SENHOR disse: Certamente vi a aflição de meu povo que está no Egito, e ouvi o seu clamor por causa de seus capatazes, pois eu conheço os seus sofrimentos;
8 And Y knew the sorewe of the puple, and Y cam down to delyuere it fro the hondis of Egipcians, and lede out of that lond in to a good lond and brood, into a lond that flowith with milk and hony, to the places of Cananey, and of Ethei, of Amorrey, and of Feresei, of Euey, and of Jebusei.
8 e eu desci para libertá-los da mão dos egípcios, e para fazê-los sair daquela terra para uma terra boa e grande, para uma terra que mana leite e mel, para o lugar dos cananeus, e dos heteus, e dos amorreus, e dos ferezeus, e dos heveus, e dos jebuseus.
9 Therfor the cry of the sones of Israel cam to me, and Y seiy the turment of hem, bi which thei ben oppressid of Egipcians.
9 Agora, portanto, eis que o clamor dos filhos de Israel é vindo até mim. E eu também vi a opressão com que os egípcios os oprimem.
10 But come thou, I schal sende thee to Farao, that thou lede out my puple, the sones of Israel, fro Egipt.
10 Vem agora, pois eu te enviarei a Faraó, para que tires o meu povo, os filhos de Israel, do Egito.
11 And Moises seide to hym, Who am Y, that Y go to Farao, and lede out the sones of Israel fro Egipt?
11 E Moisés disse a Deus: Quem sou eu, para que vá a Faraó, e para que tire os filhos de Israel do Egito?
12 And the Lord seide to Moises, Y schal be with thee, and thou schalt haue this signe, that Y haue sent thee, whanne thou hast led out my puple fro Egipt, thou schalt offre to God on this hil.
12 E ele disse: Certamente estarei contigo, e este será um sinal para ti, de que te enviei: Quando tiveres tirado o povo do Egito, vós servireis a Deus sobre este monte.
13 Moises seide to God, Lo! Y schal go to the sones of Israel, and Y schal seie to hem, God of youre fadris sente me to you; if thei schulen seie to me, what is his name, what schal Y seie to hem?
13 E disse Moisés a Deus: Eis que, quando eu vier aos filhos de Israel e lhes disser: O Deus de vossos pais me enviou a vós, e eles me perguntarem: Qual é o seu nome? Que direi a eles?
14 The Lord seide to Moises, Y am that am. The Lord seide, Thus thou schalt seie to the sones of Israel, He that is sente me to you.
14 E disse Deus a Moisés: EU SOU O QUE SOU, e ele disse: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: EU SOU me enviou a vós.
15 And eft God seide to Moises, Thou schalt seie these thingis to the sones of Israel, The Lord God of youre fadris, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, sente me to you; this name is to me with outen ende, and this is my memorial in generacioun and in to generacioun.
15 E Deus disse mais a Moisés: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: O SENHOR Deus de vossos pais, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó, me enviou a vós. Este é o meu nome para sempre, e este é meu memorial para todas as gerações.
16 Go thou, gadere thou the eldere men, that is, iugis, of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God of youre fadris apperide to me, God of Abraham, and God of Ysaac, and God of Jacob, and seide, Y visitynge haue visitid you, and Y seiy alle thingis that bifelden to you in Egipt;
16 Vai, e ajunta os anciãos de Israel, e dize-lhes: O SENHOR Deus de vossos pais, o Deus de Abraão, de Isaque, e de Jacó, me apareceu, dizendo: Eu certamente vos tenho visitado e visto o que vos tem sido feito no Egito,
17 and Y seide, that Y lede out you fro the affliccioun of Egipt in to the lond of Cananey, and of Ethei, and of Amorrei, and of Ferezei and of Euei, and of Jebusei, to the lond flowynge with mylk and hony.
17 e tenho dito: Eu vos farei subir da aflição do Egito para a terra dos cananeus, e dos heteus, e dos amorreus, e dos ferezeus, e dos heveus, e dos jebuseus, para uma terra que mana leite e mel.
18 And thei schulen here thi vois; and thou schalt entre, and the eldere men of Israel to the kyng of Egipt, and thou schalt seie to hym, The Lord God of Ebrews clepide vs; we schulen go the weie of thre daies in to wildirnesse, that we offre to oure Lord God.
18 E eles ouvirão a tua voz; e irás, tu e os anciãos de Israel, ao rei do Egito, e lhe direis: O SENHOR Deus dos hebreus se encontrou conosco, e agora deixa-nos ir, te suplicamos, três dias de jornada para o deserto, para que sacrifiquemos ao SENHOR nosso Deus.
19 But Y woot, that the kyng of Egipt schal not delyuere you that ye go, but bi strong hond;
19 E eu tenho certeza de que o rei do Egito não vos deixará ir, a não ser por uma mão poderosa.
20 for Y schal holde forthe myn hond, and I schal smyte Egipt in alle my marueils, whiche Y schal do in the myddis of hem; aftir these thingis he schal delyuere you.
20 E eu estenderei a minha mão, e ferirei o Egito com todas as maravilhas que farei no meio deles; e depois disso ele vos deixará ir.
21 And Y schal yyue grace to this puple bifore Egipcians, and whanne ye schulen go out, ye schulen not go out voide;
21 E eu darei favor a esse povo aos olhos dos egípcios, e acontecerá que, quando fordes, não ireis vazios,
22 but a womman schal axe of hir neiyboresse and of her hoosteesse siluerne vesselis, and goldun, and clothis, and ye schulen putte tho on youre sones and douytris, and ye schulen make nakid Egipt.
22 mas cada mulher pedirá de sua vizinha, e da que estiver hospedada em sua casa, joias de prata, e joias de ouro e vestes, e as poreis sobre vossos filhos, e sobre vossas filhas, e despojareis os egípcios.
