1 Also applie thou to thee Aaron, thi brother, with hise sones, fro the myddis of the sones of Israel, that Aaron, Nadab, and Abyu, Eleazar, and Ythamar, be set in preesthod to me.
1 O Senhor disse a Moisés: — Mande chamar o seu irmão Arão e os filhos dele, Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar. Separe-os do povo de Israel para que me sirvam como sacerdotes.
2 And thou schalt make an hooli clooth to Aaron, thi brother, in to glorie and fairenesse.
2 Faça roupas de sacerdote para o seu irmão a fim de darem a ele dignidade e beleza.
3 And thou schalt speke to alle wise men in herte, whiche Y haue fillid with the spirit of prudence, that thei make clothis to Aaron, in whiche he schal be halewid, and schal mynystre to me.
3 Chame todas as pessoas a quem eu dei habilidade e mande que façam as roupas de Arão, para que ele seja consagrado como meu sacerdote.
4 Forsothe these schulen be the clothis, whiche thei schulen make; `thei schulen make racional, and a clooth on the schuldris, a coote, and a streyt lynnun clooth, a mytre, and a girdil; hooli cloothis to Aaron, thi brother, and to hise sones, that thei be set in preesthod to me.
4 Mande que façam um peitoral , um manto sacerdotal , uma sobrepeliz , uma túnica bordada, uma mitra e um cinto. Essas pessoas farão roupas de sacerdote para o seu irmão Arão e os filhos dele, a fim de que eles me sirvam como sacerdotes.
5 And thei schulen take gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and `reed selk twies died, and bijs;
5 Esses artesãos deverão usar fios de lã azul, púrpura e vermelha, fios de ouro e linho fino.
6 forsothe thei schulen make the clooth on the schuldris of gold, and of iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen, bi broyderi werk of dyuerse colours.
6 — Os artesãos farão o manto sacerdotal de fios de lã azul, púrpura e vermelha, de linho fino e de fios de ouro e o enfeitarão com bordados.
7 It schal haue twey hemmes ioyned in euer either side of hiynessis, that tho go ayen in to oon.
7 Nas duas pontas do manto haverá duas alças que deverão ser presas nos dois lados do manto.
8 Thilke weuyng, and al dyuersite of the werk schal be of gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and bijs foldis ayen.
8 O cinto que passará pela cintura do manto para prendê-lo será feito dos mesmos materiais do manto, formando com ele uma só peça.
9 And thou schalt take twei stoonys of onychym, and thou schalt graue in tho the names of the sones of Israel,
9 Pegue duas pedras de ágata e grave nelas os nomes dos filhos de Jacó,
10 sixe names in o stoon, and sixe othere in the tother stoon, bi the ordre of her birthe;
10 seis nomes numa pedra e seis nomes na outra, por ordem de idade.
11 bi the werk of a grauere, and bi the peyntyng of a man that ourneth with gemmes thou schalt graue tho stoonys, with the names of the sones of Israel; and thou schalt enclose and cumpasse in gold.
11 Escolha um bom ourives para gravar nas duas pedras os nomes dos filhos de Jacó e para montar as pedras em engastes de ouro.
12 And thou schalt sette tho stoonus in euer either side of the cloth on the schuldris, a memorial to the sones of Israel; and Aaron schal bere the names of hem bifor the Lord on euer either schuldre, for remembryng.
12 Coloque essas duas pedras nas alças do manto sacerdotal para representarem as doze tribos do povo de Israel. Assim, Arão levará nos ombros esses nomes para que eu, o Senhor , sempre lembre do meu povo.
13 And thou schalt make hookis of gold,
13 Faça dois engastes de ouro
14 and twey litil chaynes of clenneste gold, cleuynge to hem silf togidere, whiche litil chaynes thou schalt sette in the hookis.
14 e duas correntes de ouro puro entrelaçadas em forma de cordão, que você prenderá nos engastes.
15 Also thou schalt make the racional of doom by werk of dyuerse colours, bi the weuyng of the cloth on the schuldre, of gold, iacynt, and purpur, of `reed silk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen.
15 — Faça um peitoral , que o Grande Sacerdote usará para descobrir a vontade de Deus. Como o manto sacerdotal , o peitoral também será feito de fios de lã azul, púrpura e vermelha e de linho fino enfeitado com bordados.
16 It schal be foure cornerid, and double; it schal haue the mesure of a pawme of the hond, as wel in lengthe, as in breede.
16 O peitoral será quadrado e dobrado em dois. Terá um palmo de comprimento e um palmo de largura.
17 And thou schalt sette ther ynne foure ordris of stoonys; in the firste ordre schal be the stoon sardius, and topazyus, and smaragdus;
17 Coloque nele quatro carreiras de pedras preciosas. Na primeira carreira ponha um rubi, um topázio e uma granada .
18 in the secunde ordre schal be charbuncle, safir, and iaspis; in the thridde ordre schal be ligurie,
18 Na segunda carreira ponha uma esmeralda, uma safira e um diamante.
19 achates, and ametiste;
19 A terceira carreira terá uma turquesa, uma ágata e uma ametista .
20 in the fourthe ordre schal be crisolitus, onochyn, and berille; tho schulen be closid in gold, bi her ordris,
20 A quarta carreira terá um berilo , um ônix e um jaspe . As pedras deverão ser montadas em engastes de ouro.
21 and schulen haue the names of the sones of Israel: tho schulen be graven with twelue names; al stonus bi hem silf, with the names of the sones `of Israel bi hem silf, bi twelue lynagis.
21 Em cada uma dessas doze pedras será gravado o nome de um dos filhos de Jacó para representar as doze tribos de Israel.
22 Thou schalt make in the racional chaynes cleuynge to hem silf togidere of pureste gold,
22 Com fios de ouro puro trançados faça cordões para o peitoral.
23 and thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in euer either hiynesse of racional.
23 Faça também duas argolas de ouro e as prenda nas pontas da parte de cima do peitoral.
24 And thou schalt ioyne the goldun chaynes with the ryngis that ben in the brynkis therof,
24 Passe os dois cordões de ouro nas duas argolas
25 and thou schalt couple the `last thingis of tho chaynes to twey hookis in euer either side of the `cloth on the schuldur, that biholdith the racional.
25 e prenda as duas pontas dos cordões nos dois engastes de ouro do peitoral, que serão presos nas duas alças do manto, na parte da frente.
26 And thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in the hiynesses of the racional, and in the hemmes of the cloth on the schuldur, that ben euene ayens, and biholden the lattere thingis therof.
26 Faça outras duas argolas de ouro, que serão presas nas duas pontas de baixo do peitoral, na borda do lado de dentro do manto.
27 Also and thou schalt make tweyne othere goldun ryngis, that schulen be set in euer either side of the clooth on the schuldur bynethe, that biholdith ayens the face of the lowere ioynyng, that it may be set couenabli with the `cloth on the schuldre.
27 Faça ainda mais duas argolas de ouro e prenda-as nas pontas das duas alças do manto, em baixo, na frente dele, perto da costura e acima do cinto.
28 And the racional be boundun bi hise ryngis with the ryngis of the `cloth on the schuldre, with a lace of iacynt, that the ioyning maad craftili dwelle, and that the racional and `cloth on the schuldre moun not be departid ech fro other.
28 Com um cordão azul prenda as argolas do peitoral nas argolas do manto, para que o peitoral fique preso acima do cinto e não se solte.
29 And Aaron schal bere the names of the sones of Israel in the racional of doom on his brest, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, a memorial bifor the Lord with outen ende.
29 — Quando entrar no Lugar Santo , Arão usará esse peitoral, gravado com os nomes das tribos do povo de Israel para que eu, o Senhor , sempre lembre do meu povo.
30 Forsothe thou schalt sette in the racional of doom, techyng, and treuthe, whiche schulen be in the brest of Aaron, whanne he entrith bifor the Lord, and he schal bere the doom of the sones of Israel in his brest in the siyt of the Lord euere.
30 Ponha o Urim e o Tumim no peitoral para que estejam em cima do coração de Arão quando ele estiver na minha presença. Nessas ocasiões Arão deverá usar o peitoral para que ele possa saber o que eu quero que o povo de Israel faça.
31 And thou schalt make the coote of the `cloth on the schuldre al of iacynt,
31 — A sobrepeliz, roupa que vai por cima do manto sacerdotal , será tecida inteiramente de fios de lã azul.
32 in whos myddil aboue schal be an hood, and a wouun hemme `bi cumpas therof, as it is wont to be don in the hemmes of clothis, lest it be brokun liytli.
32 Nela haverá uma abertura para passar a cabeça. Essa abertura será rematada com uma tira de malha para que não se rasgue. Em volta de toda a barra coloque aplicações em forma de romãs, feitas de fios de lã azul, púrpura e vermelha. Entre uma romã e outra ponha sininhos de ouro.
33 Forsothe bynethe at the feet of the same coote, bi cumpas, thou schalt make as `piyn applis, of iacynt, and purpur, of `reed selk twies died, and of biis foldid ayen; while smale bellis ben medlid in the myddis,
33 — ausente —
34 so that a litil `belle of gold be and a `piyn appil, and eft another litel belle of gold and a `pyn appil.
34 — ausente —
35 And Aaron schal be clothid with that coote in the office of seruyce, that sown be herd, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, and goith out, in the siyt of the Lord; and that he die not.
35 Arão deverá usar essa sobrepeliz quando estiver servindo como sacerdote, tanto quando estiver na minha presença no Lugar Santo como quando sair dele. Nessas ocasiões, o som dos sininhos será ouvido, e Arão não será morto.
36 And thou schalt make a plate of pureste gold, in which thou schalt graue bi the werk of a grauere, the holi to the Lord.
36 — Faça também uma placa de ouro puro e grave nela a seguinte frase: “Separado para o Senhor .”
37 And thou schalt bynde that plate with a lace of iacynt, and it schal be on the mytre,
37 Amarre essa placa na frente da mitra , com um cordão de lã azul.
38 and schal neiye the forheed of the bischop. And Aaron schal bere the wickidnessis of hem whiche the sones of Israel `offeriden, and halewiden in alle her yiftis and fre yiftis; forsothe the plate schal euere be in `his forhed, that the Lord be plesid to him.
38 Arão deverá usá-la na testa para que eu, o Senhor , aceite todas as ofertas que os israelitas me trouxerem, e para que eles não sejam culpados se cometerem algum erro ao oferecê-las a mim.
39 And thou schalt bynde the coot of biis, and the myter of bijs, and thou schalt make also a girdil, `bi werk of broiderye.
39 — Você tecerá para o sacerdote uma túnica de linho fino, uma mitra de linho fino e um cinto bordado.
40 Forsothe thou schalt make redi to `the sones of Aaron linnun cootis, and girdlis, and mytris, in to glorie and fairnesse.
40 — Para os filhos de Arão faça túnicas, cintos e mitras a fim de lhes darem dignidade e beleza.
41 And thou schalt clothe Aaron, thi brother, with alle these, and hise sones with hym. And thou schalt sacre the hondis of alle; and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in preesthood to me.
41 Com essas roupas vista o seu irmão Arão e os filhos dele. Depois consagre-os e dedique-os, derramando azeite na cabeça deles, para que me sirvam como sacerdotes.
42 Also thou schalt make lynnun brechis, that thei hile the fleisch of her filthe fro the reynes `til to the hipis.
42 Faça calções de linho para cobrir a nudez deles, calções que vão da cintura até as coxas.
43 And Aaron and hise sones schulen vse tho, whanne thei schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, ether whanne thei neiyen to the auter, that thei mynystren in the seyntuarie, lest thei ben gilti of wickidnesse, and dien; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastynge to Aaron, and to his seed after hym.
43 Arão e os seus filhos deverão usá-los sempre que entrarem na Tenda da Minha Presença ou quando chegarem perto do altar para servirem como sacerdotes no Lugar Santo. Deste modo eles não se arriscarão a morrer por mostrarem a sua nudez. Arão e os seus descendentes obedecerão a essa ordem para sempre.
