1 And so we turneden, and stieden bi the weie of Basan; and Og, the kyng of Basan, yede out ayens vs with his puple, to fiyte in Edrai.
1 Depois nos viramos e subimos pelo caminho de Basã; e Ogue, rei de Basã, nos saiu ao encontro, ele e todo o seu povo, à peleja, em Edrei.
2 And the Lord seide to me, Drede thou not hym, for he is bitakun in thin hond, with al his puple, and his lond; and thou schalt do to hym, as thou didist to Seon, kyng of Ammoreis, that dwellide in Esebon.
2 Então o Senhor me disse: Não o temas, porque to entreguei nas mãos, a ele e a todo o seu povo, e a sua terra; e farás a ele como fizeste a Siom, rei dos amorreus, que habitava em Hesbom.
3 Therfor oure Lord God bitook in oure hondis also Og, kyng of Basan, and al his puple; and we han smyte hym `til to deeth,
3 Assim o Senhor nosso Deus nos entregou nas mãos também a Ogue, rei de Basã, e a todo o seu povo; de maneira que o ferimos, até que não lhe ficou sobrevivente algum.
4 and wastiden alle the citees `of him in o tyme; no town was that ascapide vs; `we destrieden sixti citees, al the cuntrei of Argob, of the rewme of Og in Basan.
4 E naquele tempo tomamos todas as suas cidades; nenhuma cidade houve que não lhes tomássemos: sessenta cidades, toda a região de Argobe, o reino de Ogue em Basã,
5 Alle the citees weren strengthid with hiyest wallis, and with yatis and barris; with out townes vnnoumbrable, that hadden not wallis.
5 cidades estas todas fortificadas com altos muros, portas e ferrolhos, além de muitas cidades sem muros.
6 And we diden awey thilke men, as we diden to Seon, kyng of Esebon; and we losten ech citee, and men, and wymmen, and litle children;
6 E destruímo-las totalmente, como fizéramos a Siom, rei de Hesbom, fazendo perecer a todos, homens, mulheres e pequeninos.
7 forsothe we token bi prey beestis, and the spuylis of citees.
7 Mas todo o gado e o despojo das cidades, tomamo-los por presa para nós.
8 And we token in that tyme the lond fro the hond of twey kyngis of Ammorreis, that weren biyonde Jordan, fro the stronde of Arnon `til to the hil of Hermon,
8 Assim naquele tempo tomamos a terra da mão daqueles dois reis dos amorreus, que estavam além do Jordão, desde o rio Arnom até o monte Hermom
9 `which hil Sidonyes clepen Sarion, and Ammorreis clepen Sanyr.
9 {ao Hermom os sidônios chamam Siriom, e os amorreus chamam-lhe Senir} ,
10 We tooken alle the citees that weren set in the pleyn, and al the lond of Galaad, and of Basan, `til to Selcha and Edray, citees of the rewme of Og, in Basan.
10 todas as cidades do planalto, e todo o Gileade, e todo o Basã, até Salca e Edrei, cidades do reino de Ogue em Basã.
11 For Og aloone, kyng of Basan, was left of the generacioun of giauntis; and his yrun bed is schewid, which is in Rabath, of the sones of Amon, and hath nyne cubitis of lengthe, and foure cubitis of breede, at the mesure of a cubit of mannus hond.
11 Porque só Ogue, rei de Basã, ficou de resto dos refains; eis que o seu leito, um leito de ferro, não está porventura em Rabá dos amonitas? o seu comprimento é de nove côvados, e de quatro côvados a sua largura, segundo o côvado em uso.
12 And we weldiden in that tyme the lond, fro Aroer, which is on the `brynke of the stronde of Arnon, `til to the myddil paart of the hil of Galaad; and Y yaf the citees `of hym to Ruben and Gad.
12 Naquele tempo, pois, tomamos essa terra por possessão. Desde Aroer, que está junto do vale do Arnom, e a metade da região montanhosa de Gileade, com as suas cidades, dei aos nibenitas e gaditas;
13 Forsothe Y yaf the tother part of Galaad, and al Basan, of the rewme of Og, to the half lynage of Manasses, and al the cuntrei of Argob. Al Basan was clepid the lond of giauntis.
13 e dei à meia tribo de Manassés o resto de Gileade, como também todo o Basã, o reino de Ogue, isto é, toda a região de Argobe com todo o Basã. {O mesmo se chamava a terra dos refains.
14 Jair, `sone of Manasses, weldide al the cuntrey of Argob, `til to the lond of Gesuri and of Machati; and he clepide bi his name Basan Anothiair, that is, the townes of Jair, til in to present dai.
14 Jair, filho de Manassés, tomou toda a região de Argobe, até a fronteira dos resuritas e dos maacatitas, e lhes chamou, inclusive o Basã, pelo seu nome, Havote-Jair, até hoje}.
15 Also Y yaf Galaad to Machir; and to the lynagis of Ruben and of Gad Y yaf the lond of Galaad, `til to the strond of Arnon, the myddil of the stronde,
15 E a Maquir dei Gileade.
16 and of the endis `til to the stronde of Jeboth, which is the terme of `the sones of Amon.
16 Mas aos rubenitas e gaditas dei desde Gileade até o vale do Arnom, tanto o meio do vale como a sua borda, e até o ribeiro de Jaboque, o termo dos amonitas;
17 And Y yaf the pleyn of the wildernesse `til to Jordan, and the termes of Cenereth `til to the see of deseert, which see is moost salt, at the rotis of the hil of Phasga, ayens the eest.
17 como também a Arabá, com o Jordão por termo, desde Quinerete até o mar da Arabá, o Mar Salgado, pelas faldas de Pisga para o oriente.
18 And Y comaundide to you in that tyme, and seide, Youre Lord God yyueth to you this lond in to erytage;
18 No mesmo tempo também vos ordenei, dizendo: O Senhor vosso Deus vos deu esta terra, para a possuirdes; vós, todos os homens valentes, passareis armados adiante de vossos irmãos, os filhos de Israel.
19 alle ye stronge men, without wyues and litle children and beestis, be maad redi, and `go ye bifor youre brithren, the sones of Israel. For Y knowe that ye han many beestis, and tho schulen dwelle in citees whiche Y yaf to you,
19 Tão-somente vossas mulheres, e vossos pequeninos, e vosso gado {porque eu sei que tendes muito gado} ficarão nas cidades que já vos dei;
20 til the Lord yyue reste to youre brithren, as he yaf to you, and til thei also welden the lond `which the Lord schal yyue to hem biyonde Jordan; thanne ech man schal turne ayen in to his possessioun which Y yaf to you.
20 até que o Senhor dê descanso a vossos irmãos como a vós, e eles também possuam a terra que o Senhor vosso Deus lhes dá além do Jordão: Então voltareis cada qual à sua herança que já vos tenho dado.
21 Also Y comaundid to Josue in that tyme, and seide, Thin iyen sien what thingis youre Lord God dide to these twei kyngis; so he schal do to alle rewmes, to whiche thou schalt go; drede thou not hem.
21 Também dei ordem a Josué no mesmo tempo, dizendo: Os teus olhos viram tudo o que o Senhor vosso Deus tem feito a esses dois reis; assim fará o Senhor a todos os reinos a que tu estás passando.
22 And Y preiede the Lord in that tyme,
22 Não tenhais medo deles, porque o Senhor vosso Deus é o que peleja por nós.
23 and seide, Lord God, thou hast bigunne to schewe to thi seruaunt thi greetnesse, and strongeste hond,
23 Também roguei ao Senhor nesse tempo, dizendo:
24 for noon other God is ether in heuene, ether in erthe, that mai do thi werkis, and may be comparisound to thi strengthe.
24 Ó Senhor Jeová, tu já começaste a mostrar ao teu servo a tua grandeza e a tua forte mão; pois, que Deus há no céu ou na terra, que possa fazer segundo as tuas obras, e segundo os teus grandes feitos?
25 Therfor Y schal passe, and schal se this beeste lond biyende Jordan, and this noble hil and Liban.
25 Rogo-te que me deixes passar, para que veja essa boa terra que está além do Jordão, essa boa região montanhosa, e o Líbano!
26 And the Lord was wrooth to me for you, nethir he herde me, but seide to me, It suffisith to thee; speke thou no more of this thing to me.
26 Mas o Senhor indignou-se muito contra mim por causa de vós, e não me ouviu; antes me disse: Basta; não me fales mais nisto.
27 `Stye thou in to the hiynesse of Phasga, and caste aboute thin iyen to the west, and north, and south, and eest, and biholde, for thou schalt not passe this Jordan.
27 sobe ao cume do Pisga, e levanta os olhos para o ocidente, para o norte, para o sul e para o oriente, e contempla com os teus olhos; porque não passarás este Jordão.
28 Comaunde thou to Josue, and strengthe thou and coumforte hym; for he schal go bifore this puple, and he schal departe to hem the lond, which thou schalt se.
28 Mas dá ordens a Josué, anima-o, e fortalece-o, porque ele passará adiante deste povo, e o levará a possuir a terra que tu verás.
29 And we dwelliden in the valey ayens the temple of Phegor.
29 Assim ficamos no vale defronte de Bete-Peor.
