1 Therfor in the eiytenthe yeer of the rewme of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, Abia regnede on Juda.
1 No décimo oitavo ano do rei Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, começou Abião a reinar sobre Judá.
2 Thre yeer he regnede in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Maacha, douyter of Abessalon.
2 Reinou três anos em Jerusalém. Era o nome de sua mãe Maacá, filha de Absalão.
3 And he yede in alle the synnes of his fadir, which he dide bifor hym; and his herte was not perfit with his Lord God, as the herte of Dauid, his fadir, `was perfit.
3 Ele andou em todos os pecados que seu pai tinha cometido antes dele; o seu coração não foi perfeito para com o Senhor seu Deus como o coração de Davi, seu pai.
4 But for Dauid his Lord God yaf to hym a lanterne in Jerusalem, that he schulde reise his sone after hym, and that he schulde stonde in Jerusalem;
4 Mas por amor de Davi o Senhor lhe deu uma lâmpada em Jerusalém, levantando a seu filho depois dele, e confirmando a Jerusalém;
5 for Dauid hadde do riytfulnesse in the iyen of the Lord, and hadde not bowid fro alle thingis whiche the Lord hadde comaundid to him, in alle the daies of his lijf, outakun the word of Urie Ethei.
5 porque Davi fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor, e não se desviou de tudo o que lhe ordenou em todos os dias da sua vida, a não ser no caso de Urias, o heteu.
6 Netheles batel was bitwix Abia and Jeroboam, in al the tyme of his lijf.
6 Ora, houve guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão todos os dias da vida de Roboão.
7 Sotheli the residue of wordis of Abia, and alle thinges whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngys of Juda? And batel was bitwixe Abia and Jeroboam.
7 Quanto ao restante dos atos de Abião, e a tudo quanto fez, porventura não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Também houve guerra entre Abião e Jeroboão.
8 And Abia slepte with his fadris; and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid; and Asa, his sone, regnede for hym.
8 Abião dormiu com seus pais, e o sepultaram na cidade de Davi. E Asa, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
9 Sotheli Asa, king of Jude, regnede in the twentithe yeer of Jeroboam, kyng of Israel;
9 No vigésimo ano de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, começou Asa a reinar em Judá,
10 and Asa regnede oon and fourti yeer in Jerusalem. The name of his modir was Maacha, douyter of Abessalon.
10 e reinou quarenta e um anos em Jerusalém. Era o nome de sua mãe Maacá, filha de Absalão.
11 , in the tyme of his eelde.
11 Asa fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor, como Davi, seu pai.
12 and he took awey fro the loond men of wymmens condiciouns, and he purgide alle the filthis of idols, whiche his fadris maden.
12 Porque tirou da terra os sodomitas, e removeu todos os ídolos que seus pais tinham feito.
13 Ferthermore and he remouyde Maacha, his modir, that sche schulde not be princesse in the solempne thingis of Priapus, and in his wode which sche hadde halewid; and he distriede the denne of hym, and he brak the foulest symylacre, and brente in the stronde of Cedron;
13 E até a Maacá, sua mãe, removeu para que não fosse rainha, porquanto tinha feito um abominável ídolo para servir de Asera; e Asa desfez esse ídolo, e o queimou junto ao ribeiro de Cedrom.
14 sotheli he dide not awei hiy thingis; netheles the herte of Asa was perfit with hys Lord God, in alle hise daies.
14 Os altos, porém, não foram tirados; todavia o coração de Asa foi reto para com o Senhor todos os seus dias.
15 And he brouyte in to the hous of the Lord tho thingis, whiche his fadir hadde halewid and auowid, siluer, and gold, and vessel.
15 E trouxe para a casa do Senhor as coisas que seu pai havia consagrado, e as coisas que ele mesmo consagrara: prata, ouro e vasos.
16 Forsothe batel was bitwixe Asa and Baasa, kyng of Israel, in alle the daies of hem.
16 Ora, houve guerra entre Asa e Baasa, rei de Israel, todos os seus dias.
17 And Baasa, kyng of Israel, stiede in to Juda, and bildide Rama, that no man of the part of Aza, kyng of Juda, myyte go out, ether go yn.
17 Pois Baasa, rei de Israel, subiu contra Judá, e edificou Ramá, para que a ninguém fosse permitido sair, nem entrar a ter com Asa, rei de Judá.
18 Therfor Asa took al the siluer and gold, that lefte in the tresouris of the hows of the Lord, and in the tresouris of the kyngis hows, and yaf it in to the hondis of hise seruauntis; and sente to Benadab, sone of Tabrennon, sone of Ozion, the kyng of Sirie, that dwellide in Damask, and seide,
18 Então Asa tomou toda a prata e ouro que ficaram nos tesouros da casa do Senhor, e os tesouros da casa do rei, e os entregou nas mãos de seus servos. E o rei Asa os enviou a Ben-Hadade, filho de Tabrimom, filho de Heziom, rei da Síria, que habitava em Damasco, dizendo:
19 Boond of pees is bitwixe me and thee, and bitwixe my fadir and thi fadir, and therfor Y sente to thee yiftis, gold, and siluer; and Y axe, that thou come, and make voide the boond of pees, which thou hast with Baasa, kyng of Israel, and that he go awey fro me.
19 Haja aliança entre mim e ti, como houve entre meu pai e teu pai. Eis que aqui te mando um presente de prata e de ouro; vai, e anula a tua aliança com Baasa, rei de Israel, para que ele se retire de mim.
20 Benadab assentide to kyng Asa, and sente the princes of his oost in to the citees of Israel; and thei smytiden Ahion, and Dan, and Abel, the hows of Maacha, and al Cenoroth, that is, al the lond of Neptalym.
20 Ben-Hadade, pois, deu ouvidos ao rei Asa, e enviou os capitães dos seus exércitos contra as cidades de Israel; e feriu a Ijom, a Dã, a Abel-Bete-Maacá, e a todo o distrito de Quinerote, com toda a terra de Naftali.
21 And whanne Baasa hadde herd this thing, he lefte to bilde Rama, and turnede ayen in to Thersa.
21 E sucedeu que, ouvindo-o Baasa, deixou de edificar Ramá, e ficou em Tirza.
22 Forsothe kyng Asa sente message in to al Juda, and seide, No man be excusid. And thei token the stoonys of Rama, and the trees therof, bi whiche Baasa hadde bildid; and kyng Asa bildide of the same `stoonys and trees Gabaa of Beniamyn, and Maspha.
22 Então o rei Asa fez apregoar por toda a Judá que todos, sem exceção, trouxessem as pedras de Ramá, e a madeira com que Baasa a edificava; e com elas o rei Asa edificou Geba de Benjamim e Mizpá.
23 Sotheli the residue of alle wordis of Asa, and of al his strengthe, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and the citees whiche he bildide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of kingis of Juda? Netheles Asa hadde ache in feet
23 Quanto ao restante de todos os atos de Asa, e todo o seu poder, e tudo quanto fez, e as cidades que edificou, porventura não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Porém, na velhice, ficou, enfermo dos pés.
24 And Asa slepte with hise fadris, and he was biried with hem in the citee of Dauid, his fader; and Josophat, his sone, regnede for him.
24 E Asa dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado com eles na cidade de Davi seu pai; e Jeosafá, seu filho reinou em seu lugar.
25 Forsothe Nadab, the sone of Jeroboam, regnede on Israel, in the secunde yeer of Asa, king of Juda; and he regnede on Israel two yeer.
25 Nadabe, filho de Jeroboão, começou a reinar sobre Israel no segundo ano de Asa, rei de Judá, e reinou sobre Israel dois anos.
26 And he dide that, that was yuel in the siyt of the Lord, and he yede in the weies of his fadir, and in the synnes of hym, in whiche he made Israel to do synne.
26 E fez o que era mau aos olhos de Senhor, andando nos caminhos de seu pai, e no seu pecado com que tinha feito Israel pecar.
27 Forsothe Baasa, the sone of Ahia, of the hows of Ysachar, settide tresoun to hym, and smoot him in Gebethon, which is a citee of Filisteis; sothely Nadab and al Israel bisegiden Gebethon.
27 Conspirou contra ele Baasa, filho de Aías, da casa de Issacar, e o feriu em Gibetom, que pertencia aos filisteus; pois Nadabe e todo o Israel sitiavam a Gibetom.
28 Therfor Baasa killide hym, in the thridde yeer of Asa, king of Juda, and regnede for hym.
28 Matou-o, pois, Baasa no terceiro ano de Asa, rei de Judá, e reinou em seu lugar.
29 And whanne he hadde regnede, he smoot al the hows of Jeroboam; he lefte not sotheli not o man of his seed, til he dide awei hym, bi the word of the Lord, which he spak in the hond of his seruaunt, Ahia of Silo, a profete,
29 E logo que começou a reinar, feriu toda a casa de Jeroboão; a ninguém de Jeroboão que tivesse fôlego deixou de destruir totalmente, conforme a palavra do Senhor que ele falara por intermédio de seu servo Aías, o silonita,
30 for the synnes of Jeroboam whiche he synnede, and in whiche he made Israel to do synne, and for the trespas, bi which he wraththide the Lord God of Israel.
30 por causa dos pecados que Jeroboão cometera, e com que fizera Israel pecar, e por causa da provocação com que provocara à ira o Senhor Deus de Israel.
31 Sotheli the residue of wordis of Nadab, and alle thingis whiche he wrouyte, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
31 Quanto ao restante dos atos de Nadabe, e a tudo quanto fez, porventura não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?
32 And batel was bitwixe Asa and Baasa, kyng of Israel, in al the daies of hem.
32 Houve guerra entre Asa e Baasa, rei de Israel, todos os seus dias.
33 In the thridde yeer of Asa, kyng of Juda, Baasa, sone of Ahia, regnede on al Israel, in Thersa, foure and twenti yeer.
33 No terceiro ano de Asa, rei de Judá, Baasa, filho de Aías, começou a reinar sobre todo o Israel em Tirza, e reinou vinte e quatro anos.
34 And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, and he yede in the weies of Jeroboam, and in hise synnes, bi whiche he made Israel to do synne.
34 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor, andando no caminho de Jeroboão e no seu pecado com que tinha feito Israel pecar.
