1 Then he showed me the river of the Water of Life, bright as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
1 Então o anjo me mostrou o rio da água da vida, transparente como cristal, que fluía do trono de Deus e do Cordeiro
2 On either side of the river, midway between it and the main street of the city, was the Tree of Life. It produced twelve kinds of fruit, yielding a fresh crop month by month, and the leaves of the tree served as medicine for the nations.
2 e passava no meio da rua principal. De cada lado do rio estava a árvore da vida, que produz doze colheitas de frutos por ano, uma em cada mês, e cujas folhas servem como remédio para curar as nações.
3 »In future there will be no curse,« he said, »but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in that city. And His servants will render Him holy service and will see His face,
3 Não haverá mais maldição sobre coisa alguma, porque o trono de Deus e do Cordeiro estará ali, e seus servos o adorarão.
4 and His name will be on their foreheads.
4 Verão seu rosto, e seu nome estará escrito na testa de cada um.
5 And there will be no night there; and they have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will shine upon them, and they will be kings until the Ages of the Ages.«
5 E não haverá noite; não será necessária a luz da lâmpada nem a luz do sol, pois o Senhor Deus brilhará sobre eles. E reinarão para todo o sempre.
6 And he said to me, »These words are trustworthy and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the Prophets, sent His angel to make known to His servants the things which must soon happen.
6 Então o anjo me disse: “Tudo que você ouviu e viu é digno de confiança e verdadeiro. O Senhor, o Deus dos espíritos dos profetas, enviou seu anjo para dizer a seus servos o que acontecerá em breve”.
7 `I am coming quickly.' Blessed is he who is mindful of the predictions contained in this book.«
7 “Vejam, eu venho em breve! Felizes aqueles que obedecem às palavras da profecia registrada neste livro.”
8 I John heard and saw these things; and when I had heard and seen them, I fell at the feet of the angel who was showing me them–to worship him.
8 Eu, João, sou aquele que ouviu e viu todas essas coisas. E, quando as ouvi e vi, caí aos pés do anjo que as mostrou a mim, a fim de adorá-lo.
9 But he said to me, »Oh, do not do that. I am a fellow bondservant of yours, and a fellow bondservant of your brethren the Prophets and of those who are mindful of the teachings of this book. Worship God.«
9 Mas ele disse: “Não faça isso! Sou um servo, como você e seus irmãos, os profetas, e como todos os que obedecem ao que está escrito neste livro. Adore somente a Deus!”.
10 »Make no secret,« he added, »of the meaning of the predictions contained in this book; for the time for their fulfillment is now close at hand.
10 Em seguida, disse: “Não lacre com um selo as palavras proféticas deste livro, porque o tempo está próximo.
11 Let the dishonest man act dishonestly still; let the filthy make himself filthy still; let the righteous practise righteousness still; and let the holy be made holy still.«
11 Que o mau continue a praticar a maldade; que o impuro continue a ser impuro; que o justo continue a viver de forma justa; que o santo continue a ser santo”.
12 »I am coming quickly; and My reward is with Me, that I may requite every man in accordance with what his conduct has been.
12 “Vejam, eu venho em breve e trago comigo a recompensa para retribuir a cada um de acordo com seus atos.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.«
13 Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, o Primeiro e o Último, o Princípio e o Fim.”
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes clean, that they may have a right to the Tree of Life, and may go through the gates into the city.
14 Felizes aqueles que lavam suas vestes. A eles será permitido entrar pelas portas da cidade e comer do fruto da árvore da vida.
15 The unclean are shut out, and so are all who practise magic, all fornicators, all murderers, and those who worship idols, and every one who loves falsehood and tells lies.
15 Do lado de fora da cidade ficam os cães: os feiticeiros, os sexualmente impuros, os assassinos, os adoradores de ídolos e todos que gostam de praticar a mentira.
16 »I Jesus have sent My angel for him solemnly to declare these things to you among the Churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.«
16 “Eu, Jesus, enviei meu anjo a fim de lhes dar esta mensagem para as igrejas. Eu sou a origem de Davi e o herdeiro de seu trono. Sou a brilhante estrela da manhã.”
17 The Spirit and the Bride say, `Come;' and whoever hears, let him say, `Come;' and let those who are thirsty come. Whoever will, let him take the Water of Life, without payment.
17 O Espírito e a noiva dizem: “Vem!”. Que todo aquele que ouve diga: “Vem!”. Quem tiver sede, venha. Quem quiser, beba de graça da água da vida.
18 »I solemnly declare to every one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book, that if any one adds to those words, God will add to him the plagues spoken of in this book;«
18 Declaro solenemente a todos que ouvem as palavras da profecia registrada neste livro: Se alguém acrescentar algo ao que está escrito aqui, Deus acrescentará a essa pessoa as pragas descritas neste livro.
19 and that if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the holy city–the things described in this book.
19 E, se alguém retirar qualquer uma das palavras deste livro de profecia, Deus lhe retirará a participação na árvore da vida e na cidade santa descritas neste livro.
20 »He who solemnly declares all this says,« `Yes, I am coming quickly.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
20 Aquele que é testemunha fiel de todas essas coisas diz: “Sim, venho em breve!”. Amém! Vem, Senhor Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people.
21 Que a graça do Senhor Jesus esteja com todos.
