1 Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead to Dan,
1 Então Moisés subiu das campinas de Moabe ao monte Nebo, ao alto do monte Pisga, que está em frente de Jericó. E o Senhor lhe mostrou toda a terra de Gileade até Dã;
2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea,
2 e todo o Naftali, e a terra de Efraim e Manassés; e toda a terra de Judá até o mar ocidental;
3 and the south, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.
3 e o Neguebe e a campina do vale de Jericó, a cidade das palmeiras, até a região de Zoar.
4 Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
4 E o Senhor disse a Moisés: — Esta é a terra que, sob juramento, prometi a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó, dizendo que a daria à descendência deles. Estou permitindo que você a veja com os seus próprios olhos, mas você não entrará nela.
5 So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word.
5 Assim Moisés, servo do Senhor , morreu ali, na terra de Moabe, segundo a palavra do Senhor .
6 He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day.
6 Este o sepultou num vale, na terra de Moabe, diante de Bete-Peor, mas até hoje ninguém sabe o lugar da sua sepultura.
7 Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.
7 Moisés tinha cento e vinte anos quando morreu, mas os seus olhos não se haviam enfraquecido, e ele não havia perdido o vigor.
8 The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.
8 Os filhos de Israel prantearam Moisés durante trinta dias, nas campinas de Moabe; então se cumpriram os dias do pranto do luto por Moisés.
9 Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
9 Josué, filho de Num, estava cheio do espírito de sabedoria, porque Moisés havia imposto as mãos sobre ele. Assim, os filhos de Israel lhe deram ouvidos e fizeram como o Senhor havia ordenado a Moisés.
10 Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
10 Nunca mais se levantou em Israel um profeta como Moisés, com quem o Senhor tratava face a face.
11 in all the signs and the wonders which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
11 Nunca houve ninguém que fizesse todos os sinais e maravilhas que, por ordem do Senhor , ele fez na terra do Egito, a Faraó, a todos os seus oficiais e a toda a sua terra.
12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
12 Nunca houve quem tivesse tanto poder e fizesse os grandes e terríveis feitos que Moisés realizou à vista de todo o Israel.
