1 A Psalm of David. LORD, I cry to thee: make haste to me; give ear to my voice, when I cry to thee.
1 Senhor , eu clamo a ti; apressa-te em me socorrer! Inclina os ouvidos à minha voz, quando te invoco.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
2 Suba à tua presença a minha oração como incenso, e seja o erguer de minhas mãos como oferenda vespertina.
3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
3 Põe guarda à minha boca, Senhor ; vigia a porta dos meus lábios.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 Não permitas que o meu coração se incline para o mal, para a prática da perversidade na companhia de malfeitores; e que eu não coma das suas iguarias.
5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.
5 Fira-me o justo, e isso será um favor; repreenda-me, e será como óleo sobre a minha cabeça, a qual não há de rejeitá-lo. Continuarei a orar enquanto os perversos praticam maldade.
6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
6 Quando os seus juízes forem lançados do alto de uma rocha, eles ouvirão as minhas palavras, que são agradáveis.
7 Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
7 Como quando se lavra e sulca a terra, assim os nossos ossos são espalhados à boca da sepultura.
8 But my eyes are to thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
8 Pois em ti, Senhor Deus, estão os meus olhos: em ti confio; não desampares a minha alma.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
9 Guarda-me dos laços que me armaram e das armadilhas dos que praticam iniquidade.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst I escape.
10 Que os ímpios caiam nas suas próprias redes, enquanto eu escapo ileso.
