1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
1 Ó Senhor Deus, até quando esquecerás de mim? Será para sempre? Por quanto tempo esconderás de mim o teu rosto?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
2 Até quando terei de suportar este sofrimento? Até quando o meu coração se encherá dia e noite de tristeza? Até quando os meus inimigos me vencerão?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
3 Ó Senhor , meu Deus, olha para mim e responde-me! Dá-me forças novamente para que eu não morra.
4 Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
4 Assim os meus inimigos não poderão se alegrar com a minha desgraça, nem poderão dizer: “Nós o derrotamos!”
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
5 Eu confio no teu amor. O meu coração ficará alegre, pois tu me salvarás.
6 I will sing to the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
6 E, porque tens sido bom para mim, cantarei hinos a ti, ó
