1 And the LORD said to Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like the first; and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables which thou didst break.
1 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés: — Corte duas placas de pedra iguais àquelas que você quebrou, e eu escreverei nelas as mesmas palavras que estavam nas primeiras.
2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me on the top of the mount.
2 Amanhã cedo esteja pronto para subir o monte Sinai a fim de se encontrar comigo ali no alto do monte.
3 And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount: neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
3 Ninguém deverá subir com você; ninguém deverá estar em qualquer parte do monte. As ovelhas, as cabras e o gado não deverão ficar pastando perto do monte.
4 And he hewed two tables of stone, like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
4 Então Moisés cortou outras duas placas de pedra, iguais às primeiras, e, no dia seguinte, como o Senhor havia ordenado, ele se levantou bem cedo e subiu o monte Sinai, levando consigo as duas placas.
5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
5 O Senhor desceu numa nuvem, ficou ali com Moisés e disse qual era o seu nome, isto é, o .
6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.
6 Então Deus passou diante de Moisés e disse em voz alta: — Eu sou o
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, to the third and to the fourth generation.
7 Cumpro a minha promessa a milhares de gerações e perdoo o mal e o pecado. Porém não deixo de castigar os seus filhos e até os netos, os bisnetos e os trinetos pelos pecados dos pais.
8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head towards the earth, and worshiped.
8 Moisés se ajoelhou, encostou o rosto no chão e adorou a Deus.
9 And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us (for it is a stiff-necked people) and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thy inheritance.
9 Ele disse: — Ó Senhor, se estás, de fato, contente comigo, eu te peço que vás conosco. Este povo é teimoso, mas perdoa o nosso pecado e a nossa maldade e aceita-nos como o teu povo.
10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do wonders, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art, shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
10 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés: — Eu estou fazendo agora uma
11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day: Behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
11 Obedeçam às leis que estou dando a vocês hoje. Conforme vocês forem avançando, eu expulsarei os amorreus, os cananeus, os heteus, os perizeus, os heveus e os jebuseus.
12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
12 Não façam nenhum acordo com os moradores da terra para onde vocês vão, pois isso poderia ser uma armadilha mortal para vocês.
13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves.
13 Pelo contrário, derrubem os altares deles, destruam as colunas do deus Baal e cortem os postes da deusa Aserá .
14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
14 — Não adorem nenhum outro deus, pois eu, o Senhor , me chamo Deus Exigente e exijo que vocês adorem somente a mim.
15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go astray after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
15 Não façam acordos com os moradores da terra que vai ser de vocês. Nos seus cultos eles adoram deuses pagãos e lhes oferecem sacrifícios . Eles vão convidar vocês para as suas reuniões religiosas, e vocês poderão ficar tentados a comer os alimentos que eles oferecem aos seus deuses.
16 And thou take of their daughters to thy sons, and their daughters go astray after their gods, and make thy sons go astray after their gods.
16 Os filhos de vocês poderiam casar com mulheres estrangeiras, e elas fariam com que vocês fossem infiéis a mim e adorassem os deuses pagãos que elas adoram.
17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
17 — Não façam deuses de metal, nem os adorem.
18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out of from Egypt.
18 — Comemorem a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento . Como lhes ordenei, comam pão sem fermento durante sete dias no mês de abibe , que é o tempo certo, pois foi nesse mês que vocês saíram do Egito.
19 Every first-born is mine: and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
19 — Todo primeiro filho é meu e também o primeiro filhote macho dos animais domésticos.
20 But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou shalt not redeem him, then shalt thou break his neck. All the first-born of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
20 Mas, se vocês quiserem ficar com o primeiro filhote macho de uma jumenta, ofereçam-me um carneiro; se não quiserem, quebrem o pescoço do jumentinho. Para ficarem com todo primeiro filho de vocês, paguem o preço determinado . — Ninguém deverá aparecer diante de mim sem trazer uma oferta.
21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in time of plowing and in harvest thou shalt rest.
21 — Vocês têm seis dias para trabalhar, porém não trabalhem no sétimo dia, nem mesmo no tempo de arar ou de fazer a colheita.
22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, and the feast of in-gathering at the year's end.
22 — Comemorem a Festa da Colheita quando começarem a fazer a primeira colheita do trigo. E comemorem a Festa das Barracas no outono, quando vocês colherem as suas frutas.
23 Thrice in the year shall all your male children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
23 — Três vezes por ano todos os homens israelitas deverão ir adorar a mim, o Senhor , o Deus do povo de Israel.
24 For I will drive out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God, thrice in the year.
24 Eu vou expulsar as outras nações que estão diante de vocês e assim aumentarei o seu território; então ninguém tentará conquistar a terra de vocês durante as três festas, quando vocês vierem me adorar.
25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven, neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left until the morning.
25 — Quando me oferecerem um animal em sacrifício, não tragam pão feito com fermento, nem guardem para o dia seguinte o que sobrar do animal oferecido na Festa da Páscoa .
26 The first of the first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring to the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
26 — Todos os anos levem à casa do Senhor , seu Deus, os primeiros cereais que vocês colherem. — Não cozinhem um cabrito ou um carneirinho no leite da sua própria mãe .
27 And the LORD said to Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee, and with Israel.
27 O Senhor Deus disse ainda a Moisés: — Escreva essas palavras porque é com base nelas que estou fazendo uma aliança com você e com o povo de Israel.
28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water: and he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
28 Moisés ficou ali com Deus, o Senhor , quarenta dias e quarenta noites e durante esse tempo não comeu nem bebeu nada. Ele escreveu nas placas de pedra as palavras da aliança, isto é, os dez mandamentos.
29 And it came to pass when Moses came down from mount Sinai (with the two tables of testimony in Moses's hand, when he came down from the mount) that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone, while he talked with him.
29 Quando Moisés desceu do monte Sinai, carregando as duas placas da aliança , o seu rosto estava brilhando, pois ele havia falado com Deus. Mas ele não sabia disso.
30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come nigh him.
30 Arão e todo o povo ficaram com medo de chegar perto de Moisés quando viram o seu rosto brilhando.
31 And Moses called to them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses talked with them.
31 Porém Moisés os chamou, e Arão e todos os líderes do povo chegaram perto dele, e ele falou com todos.
32 And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
32 Depois disso todo o povo de Israel se reuniu em volta de Moisés, e ele lhes entregou todas as leis que o Senhor Deus lhe tinha dado no monte Sinai.
33 And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
33 Quando Moisés acabou de falar com eles, ele cobriu o rosto com um véu.
34 But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
34 Sempre que entrava na Tenda Sagrada para falar com o Senhor , Moisés tirava o véu. Quando saía, ele contava ao povo de Israel tudo o que Deus lhe havia mandado dizer,
35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses's face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
35 e o povo via que o seu rosto continuava brilhando. Porém Moisés cobria de novo o rosto com o véu até que entrava de novo na Tenda para falar com Deus.
