1 For as concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
1 No tocante à ministração aos santos, é supérfluo para mim escrever-vos;
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath incited very many.
2 porque eu conheço a presteza de vossa mente, da qual me glorio de vós para com os da Macedônia; que a Acaia estava pronta há um ano; e o vosso zelo tem estimulado a muitos.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
3 Mas eu enviei os irmãos, para que a nossa glória em vós, não seja vã nesta parte; para que, como eu disse, possais estar prontos,
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
4 para que não aconteça que, se os macedônios vierem comigo, e vos acharem despreparados, nós (para não dizermos vós), não fôssemos envergonhados nesta mesma glória confiante.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before to you, and make up before hand your bounty, of which ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not of covetousness.
5 Portanto, julguei necessário exortar os irmãos, para que eles fossem ter convosco, e preparassem de antemão a vossa liberalidade, da qual fostes informados antes, para que esteja pronta como uma questão de generosidade e não de avareza.
6 But this I say, He who soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly; and he who soweth bountifully, shall reap also bountifully.
6 Mas digo isto: O que semeia com moderação, também colherá com moderação; e o que semeia em abundância, em abundância também ceifará.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or by constraint: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
7 Cada homem dê conforme propôs no seu coração, não com má vontade ou por necessidade; porque Deus ama um alegre doador.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
8 E Deus é capaz de fazer toda a graça abundar em vós, para que vós, tendo sempre toda a suficiência em todas as coisas, abundeis em todo bom trabalho;
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
9 (conforme está escrito: Ele espalhou, deu aos pobres; a sua justiça permanece para sempre.
10 Now may he that ministereth seed to the sower, both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
10 Ora, aquele que ministra a semente ao que semeia, também ministre o pão para o alimento, e multiplique a vossa sementeira, e aumente os frutos da vossa justiça);
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
11 sendo enriquecidos em todas as coisas para toda a generosidade, a qual faz através de nós ação de graças a Deus.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings to God;
12 Porque a administração deste serviço, não só supre as necessidades dos santos, mas é abundante também em muitas ações de graças a Deus;
13 While by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution to them, and to all men;
13 pois, pela experiência desta ministração, eles glorificam a Deus pela vossa submissão ao evangelho de Cristo, e pela vossa distribuição liberal para com eles e para com todos os homens;
14 And by their prayer for you, who long after you, for the exceeding grace of God in you.
14 e pela sua oração por vós, ansiando por vós, por causa da superior graça de Deus em vós.
15 Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
15 Graças a Deus por seu dom inefável.
