Vwanji Bible (WBI_ULB) vs VC
1 Lino muvuleke uvuhosi vwoni, uvusyangi, uvukedusi, ikivini namaligho.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ndavule avana avafyele, munogheluaghe utusiva utwa mwojo, kuuti mukulaghe n'kate muvupoki,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 ndavule mukagwile kuuti uMutwa nofu.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mwisaghe kwa mwene juno ghwe livue ilyumi linolikanilue name vaanhu, neke ilio lisalulua nu Nguluve kange kwamwene lya ndalama nyanga.

5 Najumue mulindavule amavue amumu ghanoghijengua kuva nyumba ja Mhepo u Mwimike, kuuti muuve vatekesi vimike vano vitavula ilitekelo mungufu isa Mhepo Mwimike lino likwitikisivua nu Nguluve uvwimila Yesu kilisite.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Amalembe amimike ghiti ndiki, “Lolagha, mulikaja ilya Sayuni nivikile ilivue ilivaha ilya pa nguto, kange ilisalulua lya ndalama nyinga. Umunhu ghweni juno ikumwitika uvwimila umwene nangavone sooni.”
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Mu uluo uvwoghopua uvwinu kulyumue mwevano mukumwitika. Neke Lelo, “ilivue lino likakanilue navajengi, ili lyelivue ilikome ilya pa nguto”-
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 kange, “livue lya kukuvala kange linalavue lyakughisia avanhu. “Avene vikuvala, vano navikulyitika ilisio, uluo lweluno unguluve akatavike vwimila avene.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Looli umwe mulikisina kisalulua, umwe muli vatekesi va Kiowa, vanhu va vuhasi vwa Nguluve jujuo, kuuti mupulisyaghe imbombo sajuno avakemelile kuhuma mung'isi nakukuvingisia mulumuli lwake ulwa kudegha.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Umwe ulutasi namulyale vanhu va Nguluve, loolilooli lino mulivanhu vaake. Umwe namulyupile ulusungu, looli lino mwupile ulusungu.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Vanyalukolo vango, ulwakuva mulivahesia kange mulivakila Sila, nivakemelile muvuleke uvunoghelua uvwa m'bili ulwakuva vunangania amoojo ghinu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Muvisaghe na maghendele amanono pakate pa vapanji, kuuti, navevikuvadesela kuuti muvomba inyivi, pano vikughagha amaghendele ghinu amanono vamughiniaghe uNguluve ikighono kino ilikwisa kuhigha avanhu vooni.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Ulwakuva mulimwa Mutwa mukundaghe uvutavulilua uvwa iisi jave Ntwa ghwa iisi umwene ghwe mbaha,
13 — ausente —
14 nambe vaave vanyagila vano vikwomolua kukuvakopa avahosi nakukuvaghinia vano vivomba inofu.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Ulwakuva vughane vwa Nguluve, kuuti pano muvomba inofu musimia injovele sa kijasu savano van'kaguile umwene.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ndavule avanhu avavuke, neke namungavombaghe uvuhosi mukiteghe kya vwavuke, looli muvesaghe ndavule avavombi va Nguluve. Muvoghopaghe avanhu vooni.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Muvaghanaghe avajinu. Mumwoghopaghe u Nguluve. Mumwoghopaghe untwa.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mwevavoombi, muvisaghe vakuundi kuvavaha vinhu nakuvoghopa fiijo, nakwekuuti avavaha avanofu navakoola vene, looli kange vevahosi.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ulwakuva uNguluve ihovoka pono umunhu ghweni juno ikuguda muvuvafi pano ipulika musino na anaghile mulwaku m'bingilila umwene.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Kuuli luvumbulilo luuki ndave mufivombagha uvuhosi kange mufitovuagha? Looli ndave muvombile inofu neke mupumukaghe ulwa kuhighua, mukumuhovosia uNguluve.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Mulyakemelilue mu uluo, ulwakuva ukilisite jujuo alyapumuike uvwimilaumwe, akavalekela ikihwanikisio kuuti muvingililaghe amaghendele ghaake.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Umwene nalya vombile inyivi, nambekujova ilisio limoonga ilya vusyangi.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Unsiki umwene ye ilighua, naalyagomwisie amaligho, yeipumusivua, naalyoghwifie looli alyamulekile sooni u Nguluve junojuno ihigha muvwakyang'ani.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Umwene jujuo alyapindile inyivi siitu mumbili ghwake mulwakufua muki kovekano, kuutikuuti tuleke kulongosevua nuvuhosi, looli tulongosevuaghe nu vugholofu. Vwimila kulemasivua kwa mwene muponile.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Mweni mwevano mulyale mululudika hwene ng'holo sino jino jisovile, looli lino mungomokile un'dimi nu muloleleli ghwa moojo ghinu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
