2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

Gorɨxonɨ ámá sɨ́ŋá aŋɨ́ nɨmɨrɨróná sɨ́ŋá awiaxɨ́ wo xámɨ nɨmearo iwamɨ́ó tɨwayɨroarɨgɨ́ápa nionɨ enɨ ámá wo gɨ́ Saionɨ ŋweagɨ́áyo umeŋweanɨ́a nánɨ nurɨ́pearɨ́ná sɨ́ŋá ayá tɨ́ŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́ wo nɨmearɨ iwamɨ́ónɨŋɨ́ tɨwayɨroarɨŋɨnɨ. Omɨ dɨŋɨ́ wɨkwɨ́rogɨ́áyɨ́ ayá nɨwinɨrɨ ‘Pí nánɨ wɨkwɨ́roŋárɨ́anɨ?’ wí yaiwipɨ́rɨ́ámanɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ nionɨ seararɨŋápɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨrɨnɨ.
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
7 Ayɨnánɨ dɨŋɨ́ wɨkwɨ́roarɨgɨ́áyɨ́né nánɨ sɨ́ŋá o ayá tɨ́ŋo imónɨnɨ. E nerɨ aiwɨ dɨŋɨ́ mɨwɨkwɨ́ropa yarɨgɨ́áyɨ́ Bɨkwɨ́yo re nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨ egɨ́awixɨnɨ, “Sɨ́ŋá aŋɨ́ mɨrarɨgɨ́áwa ‘Sɨpíorɨnɨ.’ nɨrɨro emɨ mogɨ́o Gorɨxo nɨmearɨ iwamɨ́ó tɨwayɨroŋo imónɨŋɨ́rɨnɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨ egɨ́awixɨnɨ.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
8 Ámá dɨŋɨ́ mɨwɨkwɨ́roarɨgɨ́áyɨ́ nánɨ rɨpɨ enɨ nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨnɨ, “Sɨ́ŋá o, ayɨ́ ámá nóreámioarɨ ná eánɨrɨ nikɨrɨpeaánɨrɨ ná eánɨrɨ yarɨgɨ́ónɨŋɨ́ imónɨnɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨnɨ. Ayɨ́ rɨpɨ nánɨrɨnɨ. Gorɨxoyá xwɨyɨ́ápɨ nɨwiaíkiro nánɨ nóreámioarɨ nánɨŋɨ́ eánarɨgɨ́árɨnɨ. Eŋíná Gorɨxo e éɨ́rɨxɨnɨrɨ urɨ́peaagɨ́rɨnɨ.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
9 E nerɨ aí eŋíná Gorɨxo ámá xegɨ́ imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́ nánɨ rɨŋɨ́pa seyɨ́né nánɨ enɨ xɨxenɨ axɨ́pɨ re nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨnɨ, “Ámá gwɨ́ wɨrí xɨ́o xegɨ́ imónɨ́wɨnɨgɨnɨrɨ ɨ́á yamɨxárɨŋɨ́rínɨŋɨ́ imónɨro mɨxɨ́ ináyɨ́ xɨ́oyá apaxɨ́pánɨŋɨ́ imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́nɨŋɨ́ imónɨro ámá gwɨ́ mónɨgɨ́á ‘Xɨ́o wimónarɨŋɨ́pɨnɨ éwanɨgɨnɨ.’ yaiwiarɨgɨ́áyɨ́nɨŋɨ́ imónɨro ámá xɨ́oyá imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́nɨŋɨ́ imónɨro egɨ́áyɨ́rɨnɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ seyɨ́né nánɨ xɨxenɨ rɨnɨnɨ. Gorɨxo —O seyɨ́né sɨ́á yinɨŋɨ́mɨnɨ pɨ́nɨ nɨwiárɨmɨ nɨbɨro xegɨ́ wɨ́á ókiárɨŋɨ́mɨnɨ ŋweapɨ́rɨ́a nánɨ ɨ́á seaumɨrɨŋorɨnɨ. O seyɨ́né awiaxɨ́ seáyɨ émɨ imónɨŋɨ́ xɨ́o seaiiŋɨ́pɨ ámáyo áwaŋɨ́ urɨ́ɨ́rɨxɨnɨrɨ apɨ apɨ imónɨ́ɨ́rɨxɨnɨrɨ searɨ́peaŋɨ́rɨnɨ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
10 Eŋíná seyɨ́né Bɨkwɨ́yo “Ámá sɨpɨ́á imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́rɨnɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨ nimónɨro aiwɨ agwɨ ríná rɨxa ámá Gorɨxoyáyɨ́né imónɨŋoɨ. Bɨkwɨ́yo rɨnɨŋɨ́pa xámɨ Gorɨxo ayá mɨseawianɨŋɨ́yɨ́né aiwɨ agwɨ ríná rɨxa ayá seawianarɨŋɨ́yɨ́nérɨnɨ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
11 Gɨ́ dɨŋɨ́ sɨxɨ́ seayiŋáyɨ́né, eŋɨ́ rɨrémɨxɨ́ nɨseairɨ re seararɨŋɨnɨ, “Seyɨ́né aŋɨ́ mɨ dáŋɨ́yɨ́nénɨŋɨ́ nimónɨro xwɨ́á rɨrímɨ urɨ́nɨgɨ́áyɨ́né ɨ́eapá seainarɨŋɨ́pɨ xe oneainɨrɨ sɨŋwɨ́ mɨwɨnɨpanɨ. Ɨ́eapá seainarɨŋɨ́pɨ dɨŋɨ́yo sɨpí seaikɨxémɨnɨrɨ yarɨŋɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
12 Seyɨ́né ámá Gorɨxo nánɨ majɨ́á nero nánɨ émá imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́ tɨ́ŋɨ́ e nɨŋwearóná píránɨŋɨ́ wé rónɨŋɨ́pɨnɨ éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ. Émáyɨ́ ikayɨ́wɨ́ nɨsearɨróná ‘Ámá rɨkɨkɨrɨ́ó yarɨgɨ́áyɨ́nérɨnɨ.’ searɨ́á aí seyɨ́né wé rónɨŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨnɨ yarɨŋagɨ́a sɨŋwɨ́ nɨseanɨro nánɨ sɨ́á Kiraiso ámáyo mí ómómɨxɨmɨ́ winɨ nánɨ bɨnɨ́áyimɨ omɨ seáyɨ e umɨ́eyoaro ‘Joxɨ rɨxɨ́darɨgɨ́áyɨ́ xeŋwɨ́ rɨŋwárɨnɨ.’ rɨro epɨ́rɨ́a nánɨ píránɨŋɨ́ e éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.” seararɨŋɨnɨ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
15 Gorɨxo seyɨ́né nánɨ re nɨyaiwirɨ wimónarɨŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ, “Ámá nionɨ dɨŋɨ́ nɨkwɨ́roarɨgɨ́áyɨ́ naŋɨ́ nero ínɨmɨ e nɨwurɨ́nɨrɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ ámá majɨ́á nikárɨnɨro wigɨ́ majɨ́á imónɨgɨ́ápimɨ dánɨ yapɨ́ nɨrɨro ‘Gorɨxomɨ dɨŋɨ́ wɨkwɨ́roarɨgɨ́áyɨ́ sɨwɨ́ sɨpí yarɨgɨ́árɨnɨ.’ rarɨgɨ́ápimɨ saŋiárɨ́ɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.” nɨyaiwirɨ wimónarɨŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
16 Gapɨmanɨ́yo ínɨmɨ nɨwurɨ́nɨróná Jisaso seaiiŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ áxeŋwarɨ́nɨŋɨ́ mɨseainɨŋɨ́yɨ́né eŋagɨ nánɨ ámá “Nene áxeŋwarɨ́ minɨpa eŋagwɨ nánɨ ɨ́wɨ́ ananɨ yanɨ́wɨnɨ.” nɨrɨro yarɨgɨ́ápa mepa éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ. Ámá “Gorɨxo wimónarɨŋɨ́pɨnɨ oyaneyɨ.” nɨwimónɨro ínɨmɨ nɨwurɨ́nɨro nánɨ ɨ́wɨ́ epaxɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨ mé yarɨgɨ́ápa seyɨ́né enɨ axɨ́pɨ e éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
17 Ámá nɨyonɨ wéyo uŋwɨrárɨro sérɨxɨ́meáyo dɨŋɨ́ sɨxɨ́ uyiro Gorɨxomɨ wáyɨ́ wiro mɨxɨ́ ináyɨ́ seáyɨ e imónɨŋomɨ wéyo uŋwɨrárɨro éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
18 Xɨnáíwánɨŋɨ́ nimónɨro omɨŋɨ́ wiiarɨgɨ́áyɨ́né, segɨ́ bosɨ́ seamearɨgɨ́áwa nánɨ wáyɨ́ nɨwiro ínɨmɨ nɨwurɨ́nɨróná naŋɨ́ nɨseamero awayinɨ seaiarɨgɨ́áyonɨ marɨ́áɨ, uyɨ́niɨ́ nɨseaikárɨro seamearɨgɨ́áyo enɨ ínɨmɨ wurɨ́nɨrɨ́ɨnɨ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
19 Ayɨ́ rɨpɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ. “Gorɨxo wimónarɨŋɨ́pɨ apɨrɨ́anɨ?” nɨyaiwiro sa apɨnɨ oyaneyɨnɨro nánɨ “Pí pí xeanɨŋɨ́ neaikáráná dɨŋɨ́ rɨ́á neaxearɨŋɨ́pɨ ayɨ́ ananɨrɨnɨ.” nɨyaiwiro xwámámɨ́ nɨwirɨ́náyɨ́, Gorɨxo yayɨ́ winarɨŋɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ ananɨ bosowamɨ wurɨ́nɨ́ɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
20 Ɨ́wɨ́ yarɨŋagɨ́a nɨseanɨro uyɨ́niɨ́ seaikáránáyɨ́, seyɨ́né xwámámɨ́ wíagɨ́a aiwɨ “Gorɨxo nene xwámámɨ́ wiarɨŋagwɨ nánɨ ananɨ yayɨ́ seáyɨ e neamenɨ́árɨnɨ.” rɨseaimónarɨnɨ? Oweoɨ! E nerɨ aí seyɨ́né naŋɨ́nɨ yarɨŋagɨ́a aiwɨ uyɨ́niɨ́ seaikáráná xɨxe mɨwí xwámámɨ́ nɨwirɨ́náyɨ́, Gorɨxo yayɨ́ winɨpaxɨ́pɨ yarɨŋoɨ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
21 Gorɨxo seyɨ́né e éɨ́rɨxɨnɨrɨ wéyo ɨ́á seaumɨrɨŋɨ́rɨnɨ. Rɨ́nɨŋɨ́ seyɨ́né meapaxɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨ Kiraiso nɨmeárɨnɨrɨ́ná rɨ́nɨŋɨ́ seyɨ́né enɨ surɨ́má nɨmeárɨnɨróná epɨ́rɨ́ápɨ nánɨ sɨŋwepɨgɨ́ seaiiŋɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
22 O Bɨkwɨ́yo “Ɨ́wɨ́ bɨ mepa erɨ xegɨ́ maŋɨ́pá tɨ́nɨ yapɨ́ bɨ mɨrɨpa erɨ eŋɨ́rɨnɨ.” nɨrɨnɨrɨ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨ eŋɨnigɨnɨ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
23 Omɨ ikayɨ́wɨ́ umeararɨ́ná xɨ́o enɨ wí xɨxe ikayɨ́wɨ́ murɨpa erɨ omɨ rɨ́nɨŋɨ́ wiarɨ́ná “Soyɨ́né mɨyɨ́ó rárárɨnɨŋɨ́yo rɨxa urɨ́kwínɨpɨ́ráoɨ.” murɨpa erɨ Gorɨxomɨ —O ámá nɨyonɨ wigɨ́ egɨ́ápɨ tɨ́nɨ xɨxenɨ pɨrɨ́ umamoarɨŋorɨnɨ. Omɨ dɨŋɨ́ nɨwɨkwɨ́rorɨ “Ayɨ́ nionɨ níɨ́ápɨ nánɨ pɨrɨ́ umamonɨ́árɨnɨ.” yaiwirɨ eŋɨnigɨnɨ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.

Omɨ iwaŋɨ́ nɨmépero pɨkigɨ́áyo dánɨ segɨ́ wárá rɨxa naŋɨ́ inɨŋagɨ nánɨ “Apɨ e éɨ́rɨxɨnɨ.” seararɨŋɨnɨ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
