1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David; when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by your name, And judge me in your might.
1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome; defende-me pelo teu poder.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.
2 Ouve a minha oração, ó Deus; escuta as minhas palavras.
3 For strangers have risen up against me, And violent men have sought after my soul: They have not set God before them. Selah.
3 Estrangeiros me atacam; homens cruéis querem matar-me, homens que não se importam com Deus. Pausa
4 Look, God is my helper: The Lord is of those who uphold my soul.
4 Certamente Deus é o meu auxílio; é o Senhor que me sustém.
5 He will bring back the evil to my enemies: Destroy them in your truth.
5 Recaia o mal sobre os meus inimigos! Extermina-os por tua fidelidade!
6 With a freewill-offering I will sacrifice to you: I will give thanks to your name, O Yahweh, for it is good.
6 Eu te oferecerei um sacrifício voluntário; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque tu és bom.
7 For he has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen [my desire] on my enemies.
7 Pois ele me livrou de todas as minhas angústias, e os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos.
