Salmos 38
Updated Bible Version (UPDV) vs NVI
1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your wrath; Neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
1 Senhor, não me repreendas no teu furor nem me disciplines na tua ira.
2 For your arrows pierce into me, And your hand presses me intensely.
2 Pois as tuas flechas me atravessaram, e a tua mão me atingiu.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation; Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.
3 Por causa de tua ira todo o meu corpo está doente; não há saúde nos meus ossos por causa do meu pecado.
4 For my iniquities have gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
4 As minhas culpas me afogam; são como um fardo pesado e insuportável.
5 My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, Because of my foolishness.
5 Minhas feridas cheiram mal e supuram por causa da minha insensatez.
6 I am pained and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
6 Estou encurvado e muitíssimo abatido; o dia todo saio vagueando e pranteando.
7 For my loins are filled with burning; And there is no soundness in my flesh.
7 Estou ardendo em febre; todo o meu corpo está doente.
8 I am faint and very bruised: I have groaned by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
8 Sinto-me muito fraco e totalmente esmagado; meu coração geme de angústia.
9 Lord, all my desire is before you; And my groaning is not hid from you.
9 Senhor, diante de ti estão todos os meus anseios; o meu suspiro não te é oculto.
10 My heart throbs, my strength fails me: As for the light of my eyes, it also has gone from me.
10 Meu coração palpita, as forças me faltam; até a luz dos meus olhos se foi.
11 My friends and my companions stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand far off.
11 Meus amigos e companheiros me evitam por causa da doença que me aflige; ficam longe de mim os meus vizinhos.
12 Those also that seek after my life lay snares [for me]; And those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, And meditate deceits all the day long.
12 Os que desejam matar-me preparam armadilhas, os que me querem prejudicar anunciam a minha ruína; passam o dia planejando traição.
13 But I, as a deaf man, don't hear; And I am as a mute man who does not open his mouth.
13 Como um surdo, não ouço, como um mudo, não abro a boca.
14 Yes, I am as a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth are no reproofs.
14 Fiz-me como quem não ouve, e em cuja boca não há resposta.
15 For in you, O Yahweh, I hope: You will answer, O Lord my God.
15 Senhor, em ti espero; Tu me responderás, ó Senhor meu Deus!
16 For I said, Or else they will rejoice over me: When my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.
16 Pois eu disse: "Não permitas que eles se divirtam à minha custa, nem triunfem sobre mim quando eu tropeçar".
17 For I am ready to fall, And my sorrow is continually before me.
17 Estou a ponto de cair, e a minha dor está sempre comigo.
18 For I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
18 Confesso a minha culpa; em angústia estou por causa do meu pecado.
19 But my enemies are lively, [and] are strong; And those who hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
19 Meus inimigos, porém, são muitos e poderosos; é grande o número dos que me odeiam sem motivo.
20 They also that render evil for good Are adversaries to me, because I follow the thing that is good.
20 Os que me retribuem o bem com o mal caluniam-me porque é o bem que procuro.
21 Don't forsake me, O Yahweh: O my God, don't be far from me.
21 Senhor, não me abandones! Não fiques longe de mim, ó meu Deus!
22 Hurry to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
22 Apressa-te a ajudar-me, Senhor, meu Salvador!
