Salmos 34

1 A Psalm of David; when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Yahweh at all times: His praise will continually be in my mouth.
1 Bendirei o Senhor em todo o tempo, o seu louvor estará sempre nos meus lábios.
2 My soul will make her boast in Yahweh: The meek will hear of it, and be glad.
2 Gloriar-se-á no Senhor a minha alma; os humildes o ouvirão e se alegrarão.
3 Oh magnify Yahweh with me, And let us exalt his name together.
3 Engrandecei o Senhor comigo, e todos, à uma, lhe exaltemos o nome.
4 I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.
4 Busquei o Senhor , e ele me acolheu; livrou-me de todos os meus temores.
5 They looked to him, and were radiant; And their faces will never be confounded.
5 Contemplai-o e sereis iluminados, e o vosso rosto jamais sofrerá vexame.
6 This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.
6 Clamou este aflito, e o Senhor o ouviu e o livrou de todas as suas tribulações.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them.
7 O anjo do Senhor acampa-se ao redor dos que o temem e os livra.
8 Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good: Blessed is the [noble] man who takes refuge in him.
8 Oh! Provai e vede que o Senhor é bom; bem-aventurado o homem que nele se refugia.
9 Oh fear Yahweh, you{+} his saints; For there is no want to those who fear him.
9 Temei o Senhor , vós os seus santos, pois nada falta aos que o temem.
10 The young lions lack, and suffer hunger; But those who seek Yahweh will not want any good thing.
10 Os leõezinhos sofrem necessidade e passam fome, porém aos que buscam o
11 Come, you{+} sons, listen to me: I will teach you{+} the fear of Yahweh.
11 Vinde, filhos, e escutai-me; eu vos ensinarei o temor do
12 What man is he who desires life, And loves [many] days, that he may see good?
12 Quem é o homem que ama a vida e quer longevidade para ver o bem?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking guile.
13 Refreia a língua do mal e os lábios de falarem dolosamente.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.
14 Aparta-te do mal e pratica o que é bom; procura a paz e empenha-te por alcançá-la.
15 The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous, And his ears are [open] to their cry.
15 Os olhos do Senhor repousam sobre os justos, e os seus ouvidos estão abertos ao seu clamor.
16 The face of Yahweh is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
16 O rosto do Senhor está contra os que praticam o mal, para lhes extirpar da terra a memória.
17 [The righteous] cried, and Yahweh heard, And delivered them out of all their troubles.
17 Clamam os justos, e o Senhor os escuta e os livra de todas as suas tribulações.
18 Yahweh is near to those who are of a broken heart, And saves such as are of a contrite spirit.
18 Perto está o Senhor dos que têm o coração quebrantado e salva os de espírito oprimido.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But Yahweh delivers him out of them all.
19 Muitas são as aflições do justo, mas o
20 He keeps all his bones: Not one of them is broken.
20 Preserva-lhe todos os ossos, nem um deles sequer será quebrado.
21 Evil will slay the wicked; And those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
21 O infortúnio matará o ímpio, e os que odeiam o justo serão condenados.
22 Yahweh redeems the soul of his slaves; And none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
22 O Senhor resgata a alma dos seus servos, e dos que nele confiam nenhum será condenado.
