1 Rejoice in Yahweh, O you{+} righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.
1 Exultai, ó justos, no Senhor ! Aos retos fica bem louvá-lo.
2 Give thanks to Yahweh with the harp: Sing praises to him with the psaltery of ten strings.
2 Celebrai o Senhor com harpa, louvai-o com cânticos no saltério de dez cordas.
3 Sing to him a new song; Play skillfully with a loud noise.
3 Entoai-lhe novo cântico, tangei com arte e com júbilo.
4 For the word of Yahweh is right; And all his work is [done] in faithfulness.
4 Porque a palavra do Senhor é reta, e todo o seu proceder é fiel.
5 He loves righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the loving-kindness of Yahweh.
5 Ele ama a justiça e o direito; a terra está cheia da bondade do
6 By the word of Yahweh were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
6 Os céus por sua palavra se fizeram, e, pelo sopro de sua boca, o exército deles.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap: He lays up the deeps in storehouses.
7 Ele ajunta em montão as águas do mar; e em reservatório encerra as grandes vagas.
8 Let all the earth fear Yahweh: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
8 Tema ao Senhor toda a terra, temam-no todos os habitantes do mundo.
9 For he spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
9 Pois ele falou, e tudo se fez; ele ordenou, e tudo passou a existir.
10 Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
10 O Senhor frustra os desígnios das nações e anula os intentos dos povos.
11 The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.
11 O conselho do Senhor dura para sempre; os desígnios do seu coração, por todas as gerações.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, The people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
12 Feliz a nação cujo Deus é o Senhor , e o povo que ele escolheu para sua herança.
13 Yahweh looks from heaven; He beholds all the sons of man;
13 O Senhor olha dos céus; vê todos os filhos dos homens;
14 From the place of his habitation he looks forth On all the inhabitants of the earth,
14 do lugar de sua morada, observa todos os moradores da terra,
15 He who fashions the hearts of them all, That considers all their works.
15 ele, que forma o coração de todos eles, que contempla todas as suas obras.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
16 Não há rei que se salve com o poder dos seus exércitos; nem por sua muita força se livra o valente.
17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither does he deliver any by his great power.
17 O cavalo não garante vitória; a despeito de sua grande força, a ninguém pode livrar.
18 Look, the eye of Yahweh is on those who fear him, On those who hope in his loving-kindness;
18 Eis que os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os que o temem, sobre os que esperam na sua misericórdia,
19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
19 para livrar-lhes a alma da morte, e, no tempo da fome, conservar-lhes a vida.
20 Our soul has waited for Yahweh: He is our help and our shield.
20 Nossa alma espera no Senhor , nosso auxílio e escudo.
21 For our heart will rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.
21 Nele, o nosso coração se alegra, pois confiamos no seu santo nome.
22 Let your loving-kindness, O Yahweh, be on us, According to as we have hoped in you.
22 Seja sobre nós, Senhor , a tua misericórdia, como de ti esperamos.
