1 And the lot came out for the sons of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;
1 O território que, em sorte, caiu aos filhos de José, começando no Jordão, na altura de Jericó e no lado oriental das águas de Jericó, vai ao deserto que sobe de Jericó pela região montanhosa até Betel.
2 and it went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;
2 De Betel sai para Luz, passa ao limite dos arquitas até Atarote
3 and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth-horon the nether, even to Gezer; and the goings out of it were at the sea.
3 e desce, rumo ao ocidente, ao limite de Jaflete, até ao limite de Bete-Horom de baixo e até Gezer, terminando no mar.
4 And the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
4 Assim, alcançaram a sua herança os filhos de José, Manassés e Efraim.
5 And the border of the sons of Ephraim according to their families was [thus]: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth-addar, to Beth-horon the upper;
5 Foi o limite da herança dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias, no oriente, Atarote-Adar até Bete-Horom de cima;
6 and the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward to Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;
6 e vai o limite para o mar com Micmetate, ao norte, de onde torna para o oriente até Taanate-Siló, e passa por ela ao oriente de Janoa;
7 and it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
7 desce desde Janoa a Atarote e a Naarate, toca em Jericó, terminando no Jordão.
8 From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out of it were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim according to their families;
8 De Tapua vai o limite, para o ocidente, ao ribeiro de Caná, terminando no mar; esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias,
9 together with the cities which were set apart for the sons of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
9 mais as cidades que se separaram para os filhos de Efraim, que estavam no meio da herança dos filhos de Manassés; todas aquelas cidades com suas aldeias.
10 And they did not drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become slave labor.
10 Não expulsaram aos cananeus que habitavam em Gezer; assim, habitam eles no meio dos efraimitas até ao dia de hoje; porém sujeitos a trabalhos forçados.
