1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem.
1 Tinha Manassés doze anos de idade quando começou a reinar e cinquenta e cinco anos reinou em Jerusalém.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, after the disgusting behaviors of the nations whom Yahweh cast out before the sons of Israel.
2 Fez o que era mau perante o Senhor , segundo as abominações dos gentios que o Senhor expulsara de suas possessões, de diante dos filhos de Israel.
3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baalim, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them.
3 Pois tornou a edificar os altos que Ezequias, seu pai, havia derribado, levantou altares aos baalins, e fez postes-ídolos, e se prostrou diante de todo o exército dos céus, e o serviu.
4 And he built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, In Jerusalem will my name be forever.
4 Edificou altares na Casa do Senhor , da qual o Senhor tinha dito: Em Jerusalém, porei o meu nome para sempre.
5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Yahweh.
5 Também edificou altares a todo o exército dos céus nos dois átrios da Casa do Senhor ,
6 He also made his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he interpreted omens, and used magic, and did witchcraft, and dealt with spiritists and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger.
6 queimou seus filhos como oferta no vale do filho de Hinom, adivinhava pelas nuvens, era agoureiro, praticava feitiçarias, tratava com necromantes e feiticeiros e prosseguiu em fazer o que era mau perante o Senhor , para o provocar à ira.
7 And he set the graven image of the idol, which he had made, in the house of God, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever:
7 Também pôs a imagem de escultura do ídolo que tinha feito na Casa de Deus, de que Deus dissera a Davi e a Salomão, seu filho: Nesta casa e em Jerusalém, que escolhi de todas as tribos de Israel, porei o meu nome para sempre
8 neither will I anymore remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your{+} fathers, if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances [given] by Moses.
8 e não removerei mais o pé de Israel da terra que destinei a seus pais, contanto que tenham cuidado de fazer tudo o que lhes tenho mandado, toda a lei, os estatutos e os juízos dados por intermédio de Moisés.
9 And Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did more evil than did the nations whom Yahweh destroyed before the sons of Israel.
9 Manassés fez errar a Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém, de maneira que fizeram pior do que as nações que o Senhor tinha destruído de diante dos filhos de Israel.
10 And Yahweh spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.
10 Falou o Senhor a Manassés e ao seu povo, porém não lhe deram ouvidos.
11 Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
11 Pelo que o Senhor trouxe sobre eles os príncipes do exército do rei da Assíria, os quais prenderam Manassés com ganchos, amarraram-no com cadeias e o levaram à Babilônia.
12 And when he was in distress, he implored Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
12 Ele, angustiado, suplicou deveras ao Senhor , seu Deus, e muito se humilhou perante o Deus de seus pais;
13 And he prayed to him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh he was God.
13 fez-lhe oração, e Deus se tornou favorável para com ele, atendeu-lhe a súplica e o fez voltar para Jerusalém, ao seu reino; então, reconheceu Manassés que o Senhor era Deus.
14 Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate; and he surrounded Ophel [with it], and raised it up to a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
14 Depois disto, edificou o muro de fora da Cidade de Davi, ao ocidente de Giom, no vale, e à entrada da Porta do Peixe, abrangendo Ofel, e o levantou mui alto; também pôs chefes militares em todas as cidades fortificadas de Judá.
15 And he took away the foreign gods, and the idol out of the house of Yahweh, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of Yahweh, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
15 Tirou da Casa do Senhor os deuses estranhos e o ídolo, como também todos os altares que edificara no monte da Casa do Senhor e em Jerusalém, e os lançou fora da cidade.
16 And he built up the altar of Yahweh, and offered on it sacrifices of peace-offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve Yahweh, the God of Israel.
16 Restaurou o altar do Senhor , sacrificou sobre ele ofertas pacíficas e de ações de graças e ordenou a Judá que servisse ao Senhor , Deus de Israel.
17 Nevertheless the people still sacrificed in the high places, but only to Yahweh their God.
17 Contudo, o povo ainda sacrificava nos altos, mas somente ao Senhor , seu Deus.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, look, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel.
18 Quanto aos mais atos de Manassés, e à sua oração ao seu Deus, e às palavras dos videntes que lhe falaram no nome do Senhor , Deus de Israel, eis que estão escritos na História dos Reis de Israel.
19 His prayer also, and how [God] was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places where he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he humbled himself: look, they are written in the history of Hozai.
19 A sua oração e como Deus se tornou favorável para com ele, todo o seu pecado, a sua transgressão e os lugares onde edificou altos e colocou postes-ídolos e imagens de escultura, antes que se humilhasse, eis que tudo está na História dos Videntes.
20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
20 Assim, Manassés descansou com seus pais e foi sepultado na sua própria casa; e Amom, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
21 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
21 Tinha Amom vinte e dois anos de idade quando começou a reinar e reinou dois anos em Jerusalém.
22 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as did Manasseh his father; and Amon sacrificed to all the graven images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them.
22 Fez o que era mau perante o Senhor , como fizera Manassés, seu pai; porque Amom fez sacrifício a todas as imagens de escultura que Manassés, seu pai, tinha feito e as serviu.
23 And he didn't humble himself before Yahweh, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more.
23 Mas não se humilhou perante o Senhor , como Manassés, seu pai, se humilhara; antes, Amom se tornou mais e mais culpável.
24 And his slaves conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
24 Conspiraram contra ele os seus servos e o mataram em sua casa.
25 But the people of the land slew all those who had conspired against King Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 Porém o povo da terra feriu todos os que conspiraram contra o rei Amom e constituiu a Josias, seu filho, rei em seu lugar.
