1 Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the name of Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
1 E Salomão determinou a construção de uma casa para o nome do SENHOR, e de uma casa para o seu reino.
2 And Solomon counted out 70,000 men to bear burdens, and 80,000 men who were hewers in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
2 E Salomão recrutou setenta mil homens para levar cargas, e oitenta mil para talharem no monte, e três mil e seiscentos para os supervisionar.
3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house to dwell in it, [even so deal with me].
3 E Salomão mandou dizer a Hirão, o rei de Tiro: Assim como tu fizeste com Davi, meu pai, e lhe enviaste cedros para lhe construir uma casa para nela habitar, assim também faze comigo.
4 Look, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt-offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is [an ordinance] forever to Israel.
4 Eis que edifico uma casa para o nome do SENHOR meu Deus, para lhe consagrar, para queimar perante ele incenso aromático, e para a apresentação contínua do pão da proposição, para as ofertas queimadas da manhã e da tarde, nos shabats e nas luas novas, e nas festas solenes do SENHOR nosso Deus. Esta é uma ordenança eterna para Israel.
5 And the house which I build is great; for great is our God above all gods.
5 E a casa que eu edifico é grande; porque grande é o nosso Deus acima de todos os deuses.
6 But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except only to burn incense before him?
6 Porém, quem é capaz de edificar-lhe uma casa, vendo que o céu e até o céu dos céus não podem contê-lo? Quem sou eu, então, para que lhe edifique uma casa, salvo para somente queimar sacrifício diante dele?
7 Now therefore send me a skillful man to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that knows how to engrave [all manner of] engravings, [to be] with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
7 Envia-me, agora, portanto, um homem perito para trabalhar em ouro, e em prata, e em bronze, e em ferro, e em púrpura, e escarlate, e azul, e que possa ser hábil em entalhar com os peritos que estão comigo em Judá e em Jerusalém, aos quais Davi, o meu pai, proveu.
8 Send me also cedar-trees, fir-trees, and algum-trees, out of Lebanon; for I know that your slaves know how to cut timber in Lebanon: and, look, my slaves will be with your slaves,
8 Envia-me também madeiras de cedro, cipreste e algumins, do Líbano; porque sei que os teus servos podem ser hábeis em cortar madeira no Líbano; e eis que os meus servos estarão com os teus servos,
9 even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.
9 só para preparar madeira para mim em abundância; porquanto a casa que estou prestes a edificar será grande e maravilhosa.
10 And, look, I will give to your slaves, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand cors of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand cors of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
10 E, eis que darei aos teus servos, os talhadores que cortam madeira, vinte mil medidas de trigo batido, e vinte mil medidas de cevada, e vinte mil batos de vinho, e vinte mil batos de azeite.
11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.
11 Então, Hirão, o rei de Tiro, respondeu por escrito, o que enviou a Salomão: Porque o SENHOR tem amado o seu povo, ele te fez rei sobre eles.
12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endued with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
12 Além disso, Hirão também disse: Bendito seja o SENHOR Deus de Israel, que fez céu e terra, que tem dado ao rei Davi, um filho sábio, dotado de prudência e entendimento, para que pudesse edificar uma casa para o SENHOR, e uma casa para o seu reino.
13 And now I have sent a skillful man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,
13 E, agora eu envio um perito, dotado de entendimento, Hirão o pai,
14 the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any manner of engraving, and to devise any device; that there may be [a place] appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
14 o filho de uma mulher das filhas de Dã, e o seu pai era um homem de Tiro, perito no trabalho em ouro, e em prata, em bronze, em ferro, em pedra, e em madeira, em púrpura, em azul e em linho fino, e em escarlate; também para entalhar toda sorte de entalhes, e para desvendar toda invenção que lhe for apresentada, com os teus peritos, e com os peritos do meu senhor Davi, teu pai.
15 Now therefore the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his slaves.
15 Agora, portanto, o trigo e a cevada, o azeite, e o vinho, dos quais o meu senhor falou, que ele os envie aos seus servos;
16 And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you will need; and we will bring it to you in floats by sea to Joppa; and you will carry it up to Jerusalem.
16 e nós cortaremos madeira do Líbano, o tanto quanto precisares; e a levaremos a ti em jangadas pelo mar até Jope; e tu as farás subir até Jerusalém.
17 And Solomon numbered all the sojourners who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father had numbered them; and they were found a hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
17 E Salomão contou todos os estrangeiros que estavam na terra de Israel, segundo a contagem com a qual Davi, o seu pai, havia-lhes contado; e foram achados cento e cinquenta e três mil e seiscentos.
18 And he set 70,000 of them to bear burdens, and 80,000 who were hewers in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people at work.
18 E ele designou setenta mil para serem carregadores de cargas, e oitenta mil para serem talhadores no monte, e três mil e seiscentos supervisores para colocar o povo ao trabalho.
