1 Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
1 Ora, estes são os que vieram até Davi, em Ziclague, enquanto ele ainda se mantinha enclausurado por causa de Saul, o filho de Quis; e eles estavam entre os homens valentes, ajudadores da guerra.
2 They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow: they were of Saul's brothers of Benjamin.
2 Eles estavam armados com arcos, e podiam usar tanto a mão direita, como a esquerda para lançar pedras e atirar flechas com arco, eram dos irmãos de Saul de Benjamim.
3 The chief was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite,
3 O chefe era Aiezer, depois Joás, os filhos de Semaá; o gibeatita; e Jeziel, e Pelete, os filhos de Azmavete; e Beraca, e Jeú, o anatotita;
4 and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite,
4 e Ismaías, o gibeonita, um homem poderoso entre os trinta e sobre os trinta; e Jeremias, e Jaaziel, e Joanã, e Jozabade, o gederatita;
5 Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
5 Eluzai, e Jerimote, e Bealias, e Semarias, e Sefatias, o harufita;
6 Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites,
6 Elcana, e Issias, e Azarel, e Joezer, e Jasobeão, os coraítas;
7 and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
7 e Joela, e Zebadias, os filhos de Jeroão, de Gedor.
8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves to David to the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes on the mountains;
8 Os gaditas também foram juntar-se a Davi na fortaleza, no deserto, homens de força, e homens de guerra, aptos para a batalha, que eram capazes de empunhar escudo e broquel, cujas faces eram como as faces de leões, e eram tão ágeis como os cabritos sobre os montes:
9 Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
9 Eser, o primeiro; Obadias, o segundo; Eliabe, o terceiro;
10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
10 Mismana, o quarto; Jeremias, o quinto;
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
11 Atai, o sexto; Eliel, o sétimo;
12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
12 Joanã, o oitavo; Elzabade, o nono;
13 Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
13 Jeremias, o décimo; Macbanai, o undécimo;
14 These of the sons of Gad were captains of the host: he who was least was equal to a hundred, and the greatest to a thousand.
14 estes foram dos filhos de Gade, capitães do exército; um dos menores esteve sobre uma centúria, e o maior sobre um mil.
15 These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
15 Estes são aqueles que atravessaram o Jordão no primeiro mês, quando ele tinha alagado todas as suas margens; e afugentaram todos os dos vales, tanto na direção leste, como na direção oeste.
16 And there came of the sons of Benjamin and Judah to the stronghold to David.
16 Alguns dos filhos de Benjamim e de Judá vieram a Davi, ao lugar forte.
17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, If you{+} have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be knit to you{+}; but if [you{+} have come] to betray me to my adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look on it, and rebuke it.
17 E Davi saiu para se encontrar com eles, e lhes falou, dizendo: Se vós viestes em paz até mim para me ajudar, o meu coração estará ligado a vós; mas se viestes para me traíres diante dos meus inimigos, vendo que não há erro nas minhas mãos, o Deus dos nossos pais olhe sobre isto, e o repreenda.
18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the elite troops, [and he said], We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
18 Então, o Espírito veio sobre Amasai, que era chefe dos capitães, e ele disse: Somos teus, ó Davi, e contigo estamos, ó filho de Jessé! Paz, paz seja contigo, e paz seja com os teus ajudadores; porque o teu Deus te ajuda. Então, Davi os recebeu, e fez deles capitães das tropas.
19 Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they didn't help them; for the lords of the Philistines on advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
19 E ali se prostraram alguns de Manassés para Davi, quando ele veio com os filisteus para a batalha contra Saul; mas eles não lhes ajudaram; porque os senhores dos filisteus, mediante conselho, o repeliram, dizendo: Ele passará para o lado do seu mestre Saul, com perigo de nossas cabeças.
20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
20 Enquanto ele seguia para Ziclague, prostraram-se ali diante dele, de Manassés: Adna, e Jozadabe, e Jediael, e Micael, Jozabade, e Eliú, e Ziletai, capitães dos milhares que eram de Manassés.
21 And they helped David against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.
21 E eles ajudaram Davi contra o bando dos salteadores; porque eles eram todos homens fortes e valentes, e eram capitães no exército.
22 For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great host, like the host of God.
22 Porque naquele tempo, dia a dia, vinham a Davi para o ajudar, até que este foi um grande exército, como o exército de Deus.
23 And these are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of Yahweh.
23 E estes são os números dos chefes que estavam prontamente armados para a guerra, e vieram para Davi em Hebrom, para transferir o reino de Saul para ele, de acordo com a palavra do SENHOR.
24 The sons of Judah that bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
24 Os filhos de Judá, que empunhavam escudo e lança eram seis mil e oitocentos, prontamente armados para a guerra.
25 Of the sons of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
25 Dos filhos de Simeão, homens fortes e valentes; sete mil e cem.
26 Of the sons of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
26 Dos filhos de Levi, quatro mil e seiscentos.
27 And Jehoiada was the leader of [the house of] Aaron; and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,
27 E Joiada foi o líder dos aronitas, e com ele estavam três mil e setecentos;
28 and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.
28 e Zadoque, um jovem forte e valente, e da casa do seu pai vinte e dois capitães.
29 And of the sons of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, three thousand: for until now the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
29 E dos filhos de Benjamim, a parentela de Saul, três mil; porque até aquele momento a maior parte deles havia mantido a guarda da casa de Saul.
30 And of the sons of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers' houses.
30 E dos filhos de Efraim, vinte mil e oitocentos, homens fortes e valentes, afamados por toda a casa dos seus pais.
31 And of the half-tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
31 E da meia tribo de Manassés, dezoito mil, os quais foram designados por nome, para virem fazer de Davi rei.
32 And of the sons of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their commandment.
32 E dos filhos de Issacar, os quais eram homens que tinham entendimento dos tempos, para saber o que Israel deveria fazer; os cabeças deles eram duzentos; e todos os seus irmãos estavam sob o seu comando.
33 Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, with all manner of instruments of war, fifty thousand, and that could order [the battle array, and were] not of double heart.
33 De Zebulom, os que saíam para a batalha, peritos na guerra, com todas as armas de guerra, cinquenta mil, os quais conseguiam ordenar a batalha; eles não eram de duplo coração.
34 And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
34 E de Naftali, mil capitães, e com eles, com escudo e lança, trinta e sete mil.
35 And of the Danites that could set the battle in array, twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
35 E, dos danitas, peritos em guerra, vinte e oito mil e seiscentos.
36 And of Asher, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, forty thousand.
36 E de Aser, os tais que saíam para a batalha, peritos em guerra, quarenta mil.
37 And on the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
37 E, no outro lado do Jordão, dos rubenitas, e dos gaditas, e da meia tribo de Manassés, com toda espécie de instrumentos de guerra para a batalha; cento e vinte mil.
38 All these being men of war, that could order the battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
38 Todos estes homens de guerra, que conseguiam ordenar a batalha, vieram com um coração perfeito para Hebrom, para fazer de Davi rei sobre todo o Israel; e também todo o restante de Israel era um só coração para fazer de Davi rei.
39 And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had prepared for them.
39 E ali eles estiveram com Davi três dias, comendo e bebendo; porque os seus irmãos lhes tinham preparado.
40 Moreover those who were near to them, [even] as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, victuals of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Israel.
40 Além disso, aqueles que lhes estavam próximos, a saber, de Issacar e Zebulom e Naftali, trouxeram pão sobre jumentos, e sobre camelos, e sobre mulas, e sobre bois, e carne, farinha, bolos de figos, e cachos de uvas passas, e vinho, e azeite, e bois, e ovelhas em abundância; porque havia alegria em Israel.
