5 For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:
5 Ana’an iti isan o aihamiy Kurit kuma’am saise abistanawat men tabisawaren o inayabuna naatu marisika au’uwi na’atube bar merar ta’ita’imon hai ukwarih inarubiniyih.
6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
6 Orot yait aurin ubar en na’at, aawan ta’imon, natunatun bosunusunubayah, men yah so’aso’arin, men baifanasairayah.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not an attacker, not given to filthy illegal gain;
7 Anayabin Orot ukwarin God itumitum bowabow itin ana sabuw kaifih isan, aurin men ubar nama, men taiyuwin na’it ra’ah, men yan so’aso’arin, men harew fokarin tomayan, men fais robayan, naatu men sawar ana kabat.
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
8 Baise orot babin hai merar nay nabuwih, gewasin nasinaf, not wairafin, ana ef mutufurin, naya’asair kakafiyinamaim nama, taiyuwin narumutufur.
9 Holding fast the faithful word (o. logos) as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
9 Bosunusunub isan ana tur hibi’obaiy na’atube i nabukikin saise nati’imaim tur ana kirikirifotamaim i karam boro fair nab sabuw koufair nitih naatu sabuw iyab tibi’aw’ase’as boro nakwararih.
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
10 Anayabin sabuw maumurih na’in i baifanasairayah, okwanekwaneyah naatu baifufuwenayah, itinin ta sabuw hai ar afu’afuw kwa wanawanamaim tema’am na’atube.
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy illegal gain's sake.
11 Gewasin nati sabuw awah kwanasakirafut, anayabin bar awan awan hirun hitit baifuwenamaim sabuw tibi’obaiyih, saise nati’imaim i sawar wairafih hinamatar hinama gewas isan.
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, sluggards.
12 Taiyuwih hai dinab orot iti na’atube hio, “Kurit sabuw i mar etei baifuwenayah, sigarafor, nokonokow yah wiruw.”
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
13 Sawar iti isah sif hirurubon i turobe, isan imih tur fokarin kwanakwararih kwana’uwih, saise hai baitumatum nare baron na’of,
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
14 men Jew sabuw hai binanakwar hinanowar naatu men sabuw iyab turobe hikwakwahir hai obaiyunen tur hinanowaramih.
15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
15 Sabuw iyab tikukubaituturih hai sawar etei boro gewasih, baise sabuw iyab biyah karitanin naatu men tibitumatum hai sawar etei boro men ta gewasin, hai not naatu hai naniyan etei hibokarit.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
16 Hai turamaim i God hiso’ob, baise hai sinafumaim i God teyayaub, hai yawas tenakuyakuy naatu baifanasairayah, hai fanasair ra’at, hai mumunin sawar men karam boro bowabow gewasin hinasinaf.
