1 Preserve me, O God: for in you do I put my trust.
1 Guarda-me, ó Deus, pois em ti me refugio.
2 O my soul, you have said unto the LORD, You are my Lord: my goodness extends not to you;
2 Eu disse ao S enhor : “Tu és meu Senhor! Tudo que tenho de bom vem de ti”.
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
3 Os que são fiéis aqui na terra são os verdadeiros heróis; tenho prazer na companhia deles.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
4 Muitas são as aflições dos que correm atrás de outros deuses; não participarei de seus sacrifícios de sangue, nem invocarei o nome deles.
5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: you maintain my lot.
5 Somente tu, S enhor , és minha herança, meu cálice de bênçãos; tu guardas tudo que possuo.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
6 A terra que me deste é agradável; que herança maravilhosa!
7 I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
7 Louvarei o S enhor , que me guia; mesmo à noite meu coração me ensina.
8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
8 Sei que o S enhor está sempre comigo; não serei abalado, pois ele está à minha direita.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
9 Não é de admirar que meu coração esteja alegre e eu exulte; meu corpo repousa em segurança.
10 For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer yours Holy One to see corruption.
10 Pois tu não deixarás minha alma entre os mortos, nem permitirás que teu santo
11 You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
11 Tu me mostrarás o caminho da vida e me darás a alegria de tua presença e o prazer de viver contigo para sempre.
