Romanos 10

1 Brethren my hertes desyre and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.
1 Irmãos, o bom desejo do meu coração e a minha súplica a Deus por Israel é para sua salvação.
2 For I beare them recorde that they have a fervet mynde to God warde but not accordinge to knowledge.
2 Porque lhes dou testemunho de que têm zelo por Deus, mas não com entendimento.
3 For they are ignoraut of the rightewesnes which is alowed before God and goo about to stablisshe their awne rightewesnes and therfore are not obedient vnto the rightewesnes which is of valew before God.
3 Porquanto, não conhecendo a justiça de Deus, e procurando estabelecer a sua própria, não se sujeitaram à justiça de Deus.
4 For Christ is the ende of the lawe to iustifie all that beleve.
4 Pois Cristo é o fim da lei para justificar a todo aquele que crê.
5 Moses describeth the rightewesnes which cometh of ye lawe howe that the man which doth the thinges of the lawe shall lyve therin.
5 Porque Moisés escreve que o homem que pratica a justiça que vem da lei viverá por ela.
6 But ye rightewesnes which cometh of fayth speaketh on this wyse. Saye not in thyne hert who shall ascende into heven? (that is nothinge els then to fetch Christ doune)
6 Mas a justiça que vem da fé diz assim: Não digas em teu coração: Quem subirá ao céu? {isto é, a trazer do alto a Cristo;}
7 Other who shall descende into the depe? (that is nothinge els but to fetch vp Christ from deeth)
7 ou: Quem descerá ao abismo? {isto é, a fazer subir a Cristo dentre os mortos}.
8 But what sayth the scripture? The worde is nye the even in thy mouth and in thyn herte. This worde is the worde of fayth which we preache.
8 Mas que diz? A palavra está perto de ti, na tua boca e no teu coração; isto é, a palavra da fé, que pregamos.
9 For yf thou shalt knowledge wt thy mouth that Iesus is the lorde and shalt beleve with thyn hert that God raysed him up from deeth thou shalt be safe.
9 Porque, se com a tua boca confessares a Jesus como Senhor, e em teu coração creres que Deus o ressuscitou dentre os mortos, será salvo;
10 For the belefe of the hert iustifieth: and to knowledge with the mouth maketh a man safe.
10 pois é com o coração que se crê para a justiça, e com a boca se faz confissão para a salvação.
11 For the scripture sayth: whosoever beleveth on him shall not be ashamed.
11 Porque a Escritura diz: Ninguém que nele crê será confundido.
12 Ther is no difference bitwene the Iewe and the gentyll. For one is Lorde of all which is ryche vnto all that call on him.
12 Porquanto não há distinção entre judeu e grego; porque o mesmo Senhor o é de todos, rico para com todos os que o invocam.
13 For whosoever shall call on the name of the lorde shalbe safe.
13 Porque: Todo aquele que invocar o nome do Senhor será salvo.
14 But how shall they call on him on who they beleved not? how shall they beleve on him of whom they have not herde? how shall they heare with out a preacher?
14 Como pois invocarão aquele em quem não creram? e como crerão naquele de quem não ouviram falar? e como ouvirão, se não há quem pregue?
15 And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written: how beautifull are the fete of them which bringe glad tydynges of peace and bringe glad tydynges of good thinges.
15 E como pregarão, se não forem enviados? assim como está escrito: Quão formosos os pés dos que anunciam coisas boas!
16 But they have not all obeyed to ye gospell. For Esaias sayth: Lorde who shall beleve oure sayinges?
16 Mas nem todos deram ouvidos ao evangelho; pois Isaías diz: Senhor, quem deu crédito à nossa mensagem?
17 So then fayth cometh by hearynge and hearynge cometh by the worde of God.
17 Logo a fé é pelo ouvir, e o ouvir pela palavra de Cristo.
18 But I axe: have they not herde? No dout their sounde went out into all londes: and their wordes in to the endes of the worlde.
18 Mas pergunto: Porventura não ouviram? Sim, por certo: Por toda a terra saiu a voz deles, e as suas palavras até os confins do mundo.
19 But I demaunde whether Israel dyd knowe or not? Fyrst Moses sayth: I will provoke you for to envy by the that are no people and by a folisshe nacion I will anger you.
19 Mas pergunto ainda: Porventura Israel não o soube? Primeiro diz Moisés: Eu vos porei em ciúmes com aqueles que não são povo, com um povo insensato vos provocarei à ira.
20 Esaias after that is bolde and sayth. I am founde of the that sought me not and have appered to them that axed not after me.
20 E Isaías ousou dizer: Fui achado pelos que não me buscavam, manifestei-me aos que por mim não perguntavam.
21 And agaynst Israel he sayth: All daye longe have I stretched forth my hondes vnto a people yt beleveth not but speaketh agaynst me.
21 Quanto a Israel, porém, diz: Todo o dia estendi as minhas mãos a um povo rebelde e contradizente.
